Battery Issue - Sony Xperia ZR

I am using Xperia ZR . Recently this handset was dead due to water ingression, Sony service centres refused to service it.Then I did my research and was successful, I found one local repair store.
Now my handset is working but I lost the camera.
Due to water contact battery was also affected. After repairing the repairer put some crapy duplicate battery.
This Battery drains very fast.Discharges instead of charging while using on 3G mode/gaming.
Is this battery problem or handset(motherboard) problem.
Will this problem solve after putting original battery BA950?

After water damage this might be both - if you have a short circuit somewhere on the board from water deposits (salt), it might be draining your battery. In addition, replacement OEM batteries are 99% crap.

Sometimes after restarting the phone battery level indicator drops down like 20-30% or even more.i.e before restaring phone, say battery level is 30% and then after restarting it drops to 7%.Sometimes it suddenly restarts on its own.
Should I purchase Battery from Sony service centre or not?

Yes, you probably should, if you want the phone functional.

My phone is being weird...

So I have an x1 which may have gotten wet, but the water damage indicator is still white. The battery indicator is red/pink. I attempted to use a battery from an x10 (same model), which was brand new in box (they told me it was charged). The phone vibrated, illuminated a green light on the side, and went rainbow, and died. the screen did not illuminate or anything. Is there anyway to get the data off my phone before attempting to hard reset it? I can only assume that the battery isnt what the problem is, as the new one i used did nothing. Thanks
Why not maintained?
What do you mean?
Take the phone to mend
What do you mean mend? To be repaired?
Send the phone into repair with sony ericsson.
When you send it to the repair center they do not require the back cover or the battery so they wont know its been damaged hopefully, but if they do realise its been damaged by water worst that will happen is that they'll charge you for postage but if that water indicator is not red then they should repair it.
so just ring sony and they'll tell you what to do

[Q] Charging problem?

My Note suddenly alternates between discharging and charging state even though it is not connected to a charger. As a result it can never go into a deep sleep and in the battery history it only shows the history for a few second. I try to reflash the rom and try different roms. However the problem still exists. Any solution for this problem? Thanks.
just usb shorting!!
I had the same problem in Feb .... initially i thought wow!! Wireless charging but then noticed the considerable drain of battery.
Its just usb shorting within .. due to some water logging or maybe you pressed ur note too hard .. just get the usb/chargig slot changed at the service center..
Samsung knows abt the issue because of extremely tight tolerances its quite common.
Don't worry
Try cleaning out the micro usb charging on the note, as dirt can cause charging problems.
John.
the cleaning is something i had tried ..... but i believe it just temporarily solves the problem
if the problem has started and you still have your warranty get it replaced .... just 20 mins work at the service center

[Q] Xperia Battery Issues

hello all,
I have been using xperia T lt30a for almost a year and a half, unfortunately I watered my phone because of talking on the phone while it was raining. So that voids the warranty. The screen was so dim that I couldn't even see anything so I replaced it with a brand new one. If you ever opened an Xperia then you know lcd itself consists of 80% of the phone. The phone worked fine for 3-4 months. One day while it was at 30% it died. Restarted the phone and continued to 0% and died. Fully charged it and started using it again...the phone died at 50%, and kept doing that at 50%. Until I completely drained it as part of my troubleshooting and charged it 100%, started using it, now it dies at around between 80-90%, and when it dies and starts up it shows 50% or so. So I charged it to 100%, then dies again same area, it never dies while plugged in even if heavy use. So I was about to order another battery until i checked the "xperia service menu" and ran battery health check. It said "Good, no need to replace it". Whats going on here guys?
I've done all sorts of diagnostics of Google. Dvchek wipe, hard and soft resets etc.settings wipe, Phone repair using PC companion and SUS. Flashing custom ROM, nothing fixed it!
I can not diagnose your phone from remote. But I can say I had read a couple of reports abt the T's mysterious problems, that all were solved after the bactery was replaced.

Xperia Z3+ Power Shut off

In addition of to very short battery life post MM (6 hrs to 50%) I've been having an issue with power management. It has happened a number of times when my battery has been between 30 and 50%. The unit will power down giving me an out of power message and if I reboot the battery indicator will show 30-50% before immediately showing empty and powering down again. Even a short connection to a power source seems to reset the problem and I can use the phone normally until it gets down to sub-10% when it drains quickly again. This does not happen every-time it reaches this level and may be related to the final 15-20% of power disappearing very quickly.
I've returned the unit to Sony and they say a bent frame and damaged screen are the cause and the repair isn't covered by the warranty. The screen looked fine when I sent it off to them and there was no discernible damage to the frame. The unit lives in a smart cover and stays out of back pockets.
The Sony support form has other users with similar sounding problems and I wonder whether anyone here has encountered similar. Next, does the Sony repair explanation sound plausible, they want £130 to fix something that doesn't seam to be related to the initial problem.
Pucking SONY CARE always gives false statements.

Hardware defect - Battery or Mainboard issue?

Hi guys,
I had to change both display incl. frame and battery because a barbell fell on my Mi9. This bent the phone at the place of the battery and completely destroyed the display.
I was able to repair the phone quickly, but unfortunatly I did not glue the new battery. Now I was mountain biking and due to the vibrations the battery was torn from the mainboard and parts of the battery cable got stuck in the connector. I had these parts removed carefully by a watchmaker and he assured me that the connerctor looks undamaged.
But now I have the problem that the phone won't start when I insert the old (minimally) bent battery. It does not respond to any input. Only when I charge it, the LED is blinking slowly and the MI Start logo appears for 1/4 second. This process is repeated continuously. The battery also warms up slightly, showing me that it is being charged and that the connection is basically established.
Can you detect a defect on the board by this error description or is this a "typical" battery problem? Or does this error description look familiar to you otherwise?
Thanks for all suggestions,
Mike
Well I'd say that will be a hard problem to diagnose without knowing what to look for, and I definitely don't know but what I'd suggest so you can rule out the battery problem is to try a different battery in the phone and see if you get the same response. If it works happy days problem solved. If not it is more than likely a main board problem or charging connector.
