I went to the local store hoping that they can fix my broken screen, though half of the screen was working, it was cracked. the tech said that they do not have tools, so they cannot fix it even though i am willing to pay. so he advised that i go to the blackmarket, and try if there are shops fixing xperia zr. i found a store and planning to go there and get my phone fix. i just want to ask, if there are class a or replica lcd digitizer for xperia?

I have Alex's Rom on my htc. It fell off my hand and broke the lcd, tried to replace it myself could not so took it to the local shop in Houston. They charged me $100 and replaced it with a new one. It was working fine for 2wks then i started having touch screen sometimes works sometimes does not issue. Could not even do ALIGN. The shop said that the screen and the flex card is fine but motherboard is messed up since he replaced it with his new one and it works.
I have already spent money on it and wondering is there any way to fix the touch screen without replacing motherboard. After he put it back I do not have any touch screen capability at all. He said he cannot do anything about it.
Need your suggestions what would you do with the device since without touchscreen it is very hard even to make a phone call with Alex's Rom since i cannot press any keys when the contact shows on the screen?
There is no way I would have spent $100 on this old phone. Get a new phone .
Yeap, too much money. With that you can get a cheap old and good kaiser in ebay if lucky.
Hello,
I have a busted galaxy s (memory card corrupted).. now i can get another one with a broken screen for a cheap price.. my question is, can i just replace the motherboard part where the MC is located, or must i replace the broken screen on the working one.. the screen replacement is a lot harder but i think it wont give me to much trouble.. i am wondering if the motherboard replacement will work without any IMEI or other parts of the phone conflicts.. have never done that before. If someone has, please tell me your experiences.
Both phones waranties are useles and tryed already. They are both unlocked euro phones gt i9000.
Thanks.

The NAND flash is located on the mainboard which is separate from the screen.
You don't need to touch the display with its electronics - there are some display controllers.
Just change the mainboard and that's all
Thank you i thought so too. i had already put my phone apart 3 times, just to see if by some miracle nand would start working again stupid i know, but i was quite desparate..
hi does anybody know where can i find a mainboard for i9000 i googled with no result. i have my screen been replaced. now there are a few grey horizontal lines on it. the strange thing that they dissapere when i plug charger and when the temperature goes up. and sho
wing back when the phone goes colder. in the lab i was told that the problem is in the connector on the main board. and there is nothing to do with it. so can anybody tell me where to find a replacement? thank you.
my captivates sound keeps messing up and i was wondering if i go to the att tech store would they replace it even though it has a cracked screen. Its still under warranty. The sound cuts off when playing music and i have to hit the phone on the back to fix it. I cant make the phone replicate it though... it does it when it wants to.
nvm just called att. They said they cant cover it cause of a cracked screen. Would they cover it if i swapped the screens as i work for a phone repair shop and still cant figure out why its doing this.
You can try samsung directly? On a side note depending on prices you could just grab a used phone on the street for the cost of repairing the screen. Shops here charge $150-$175 for the whole thing (screen, touch part and the "work") I can grab another i897 here for ~ the same price =/
i have one next to me with a broken usb port that i got for free.
Hi all,
I recently bought my TX overseas, and updated to 3.197. It was fine for the first few days, until today, I turned on my phone, it came up with a blank screen.
All the functions seems to be working fine, even the touch screen, except that the screen itself is blank. I don't know what is wrong with it. I live in New Zealand, and I bought the phone in Taiwan a few weeks ago, and they don't sell TX or T in NZ, and I don't have a way to repair unless I go to somewhere that sells TX, or fly to Taiwan and get it fixed. :crying:
I called Sony in Taiwan, and did everything they suggested me to do, including repairing through PCcompanion, resetting, waiting for a few hours then turning it on again and the screen is still blank. Is there anyone that knows a way to fix this or have experienced similar problem?
I really want to be able to use my phone again. Any help would be truly appreciated!

I thought My phone died a week after I updated via Sony companion. Just needed to turn it off an on. Hold Power and Volume up until it reboots. If you have done this already I can't say I have much hope for it and return to base.
Have you not insured the phone?
In the UK you are asking for trouble if you don't insure your phone.
Sounds like you will need to pay for a recommended repair centre to fix it. Sony should be able to give you a list of contacts near you if you have to send your handset abroard then it's what you have to do.
****!! don't scared me I just bought tx today.

Did you try any of the following?
1) Install a stock .FTF using Flashtool, preferably the 7.0.A.1.307 firmware that came with the phone.
2) Downloading the Sony Ericcson Update Service program and using that to force an update to .3.197?
I am having exactly the same issue today. The phone is working but not the screen. The backlight, touch panel are all functional except the lcd panel. Could this be caused by the cable connector?
By the way, I don't think it has anything to do with firmware upgrade. Mine has been running the latest firmware for weeks until today.
Update: I opened the phone and checked all cable connectors and they are all firmly connected...Maybe the screen is busted... OP, were you using the oem battery?
Update 2: atteched some teardown pictures of xperia tx.
Hey guys.
I bought a used Xperia Z today.
The seller changed the screen and the battery, and the phone was pretty much cheap(130$).
But now,I have a issue with the LCD.
The exact same one this video shows:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoAF3Ry-CsM
Now,I dont know if it is software related(highly unlikely) or a hardware issue, but could it be that the seller connected the screen improperly?
The back cover glue is bad,so I can check it out,and I will, after the phone recharges.
My thoughts are that I have to get a new screen. Am I correct?
I will wait for the phone to recharge, and then I will try upgrading it to Lollipop with FlashTool, and if that wont work,I will open the phone and look for the issue.
Hello, did you fin a solution for the problem ? I have the same issue.
