Hello everyone!
I Am Not able to play videos...neither on computer nor on any smartphones (iphone, xperia z,note n700 tried on many devices)
Comments, Thumbnail Pictures, Everything Is Loading But while playing Video It say
On SmartPhones
"There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry"
On Computers
"An Error Occurred Please try Again Later. Learn More"
I Have tried Everything...
I Have Factory Resetted My Modem Setting...
Uninstall youtube AdBlocker..
Unroot my phone and now i am on 233 kitkat firmware...
uninstall youtube update and cleared all data and cache... almost everything...
And almost same on computer!
But I Tried to play videos through 3G And it loaded... Can Anyone tell me what is the problem with my wifi??
Is It Like, My IP is blocked ????

In pc, use chrome browser. It works. Same thing is happening to me. In mobile it's not working. I guess it's happening in India with bsnl.

i am also having this problem. it started after the last youtube update (i think, i also updated my rom recently...).
on my computer, youtube works fine using the same wlan. on my phone it doesn't work (only a few times directly after a reboot). apparently german providers are affected, too.
switching dns doesn't help, i tried google's dns and opendns.

ok, mikeioannina posted somewhere on google plus that kernel samepage merging could be at fault here. try to deactivate KSM in performance options!:fingers-crossed:

If you have a problem with your IP, how about using a proxy or a VPN? Have you tried it on your computer and didn't work?

so, just wanted to report back: disabling KSM (Kernel samepage merging) in settings->performance (this is rom dependent) fixed the problem for me :good:

[Q] Iplayer, My player and TV catch up no longer working

Hi EVeryone,
I've done a check and I can't see anyone that has my specific issue with my phone. When I used it last week, My player worked fine. So did Iplayer andtv catch up. I've just tried to use it today and it keeps giving me an error message (the same message for all of the three apps) - Connection failed - unable to access media stream blah blah blah check not blocking port 554. I've tried both on WIfi and on mobile internet and it doesn't work on either. Just in case, I tried disabling my internet McAfee on the wifi - no difference, and I unistalled lookout security for the mobile connection - again no difference.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why these are suddenly not working when they've all been fine for the past year?
Thanks
P.S I'm not very good tech-wise, so please be gentle with me regarding your advise - hopefully someone will have some.....
I've just updated to Flashplayer 11 but no change. I can play ITV player though.

If wifi works with other apps, have you checked your router? Maybe it just needs a restart.
Hi, thanks in advance for your reply.
Today I rebooted my router and still failing.
Inside youtube app or vía chrome: Suggested Videos load fast and the comments as well, but the video you want to see still loading, plays two seconds and then loaded again. etc. ..
If we turn off the wifi and activate mobile data extremely fast loading video.
PS: All applications are working fine via wifi.
Please help.
At this time I have disassociated my google plus account my youtube account but it has nothing to do. Same thing. By wifi is too slow.

[Q] Problem with wifi after lollipop update on Sprint HK M8

Hello,
My wife and I are both having similar issues with wifi after updating our phones to lillipop. We can connect to the wifi, but apps that require a login or apps that have an optional login are giving errors saying that there is no network (Network issues, no connection, etc.)
Apps that don't work with wifi: Bank apps, Amazon apps, Twitch, Feedly, Speedtest.net, etc.
Apps that do work on wifi: Chrome, YouTube, Drive, Mail apps, etc.
If we turn off the wifi, everything works fine. We both are running stock phones, I've got the HK M8, and she's got an older M7. There are times when a few of the apps will work for a few minutes, but then the issues come back. My wife's phone is also able to connect to our work wifi, when there, some of the apps that don't work at home will consistently work, but not all of them
We've both been told by HTC to do factory resets and to flash the latest stock RUU. The issue remains even after doing this. I don't really want to do the next step of sending in our phones for 7 to 10 days while they "repair" them.
I've tried everything I can think of. I've also factory reset our router and tried every wifi channel and/or security option, hoping that it is an issue with my wifi router.
Does anyone have any idea of what I can try before having to mail HTC my phone?
Thanks for any help.
Sounds exactly like the problem I had. Factory reseting the router took care of it for me though...

Hey there, i have been using an M8 for two months now and the problem that I have, which fits exactly the description of yours, is starting to annoying me. Every time I try to use these apps which need login I have to turn to mobile data to be able to do it. In my case, the issue that us affecting me the most, is with whatsapp, which even though I do can use, I cannot download media on wifi! (Neither pictures nor voice recordings).
It's a real pain in the neck to be doing this all the time, and I have two friends who also have m8s and are suffering from the same problems, so I guess it's something quite generic. Besides all the other android phones in my family work just fine with my router, so the problem is clearly mine. I think that HTC should have done something about it long time ago if it is such a common issue, considering that the price of the device is not cheap...
Anyway, my question is: have you been able to solve the problem? If you have, would you please take a min to share the solution? I would be deeply grateful!
Cheers and thanks in advance
I am using my HTC One M8 HK with lollipop update from the time they released and never had any problem with wifi. I use wifi wherever I go and no problem with anything. Try the following solutions:
1. Check the WiFi Router. Most of the times it is the problem with your router. Check if there is any restrictions or whitelist/blacklist of services.
2. You might be having some apps with whitelist/backlist running in the background. It could be your antivirus app, battery booster or Opera app, etc which does the wifi whitelist.
3. If you are using the sign-in wifi networks, make sure you signed in to the network using the browser window before opening the app.
4. If you are using the VPN (even in the wifi network) you won't be able to open the apps like Bank apps.
5. If the apps you installed are not supported in your country, you won't be able to access.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the apps. Sometimes, when you upgrade to different OS partitions are not aligned properly. Reinstall and check.
Good luck

[Q] Need Help, Connection Problem.

I have some problems with my Xperia Sp recently.
At the beginning, my phone failed to load the news-feed (in facebook app) and then I can't play any video posted on that app. The other apps still works well. Several weeks later, I noticed that when I started to browse (in chrome), Google frequently ask me to enter captcha. The next week it getting worse, when I try to search via google image, it never load completely. It look like the pict in attachment_1. Next, the other problem comes, I can't install or update apps from play store. It says "downloading" but no progress (attachment_2). Now, I can't access youtube at all and "some" sites that contain videos. It doesn't even load. I've restored my phone to factory default setting but nothing change.
I try to connect to a WiFi network and suddenly everything works well. So I thought the problem is with my network. Then I try to set my phone as portable WiFi hotspot and tell my friends to connect. All above problems come back again to my phone but everybody who connect to my WiFi hotspot can surf the internet very well.
Please tell me what I should do.....

Ok, I'm not sure, but I have an idea.
You got a Windows PC an the default Sony Android?
Go to PC Companion and search for the option "repair phone".
Then, Companion will download the rom from Sony servers and install it newly. This will erase absolutely everything on the phone. After this, any software error in the phone should be gone. Even if you catched a virus. If you catched one, it could survive a factory reset...
Try this before you try anything with flashtool (in case you read about it). Let's first try the easy options

Getting the dreaded NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID message

Hi all,
Hi all, first time poster here, please highlight any indiscretions or mistakes in etiquette and I will address them going forward (forgiveness is appreciated!). I have also asked this question on the Android Central forum a couple of days back but have had no response yet.
I have a Galaxy Tab S2 - 8.0 inch screen size, 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage, Android 7.0 (Kernel Version 3.10.9-10949424). It's been absolutely fine for over a year, the only recent thing I can recall doing which may have some relevance is removal of the Airwatch Software and Agent which my previous employer used to manage devices connecting to their corporate network. No AV software is installed.
I first noticed the issue when trying to browse one of the regular newspaper sites I read in Chrome, I got the "Your connection is not private message", with the "NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID". I am not able to proceed to the site - I just get the "back to safety" option.
The problem is more wide reaching, some apps that require internet access do not work any more, Google Play thinks it is not connected to the internet. Some web sites do work however, and so do some apps. A standard Google search will not work. E-mail via the stock app and the Outlook app both work.
I searched through many websites and found the same advice and steps to attempt resolution in a number of places, I will highlight below what I have tried.
Resetting the time, from automatic to manual and back on a number of occasions, with reboots in between.
Have tried connecting to 3 different WiFi networks, all of which work fine with other Android devices and my Win 10 laptop.
Rebooted my home router.
I have cleared the Chrome cache / history multiple times.
I tried the stock browser, the same happens.
Disabled Chrome, rebooted.
Re-enabled Chrome back to it's default version.
Installed the Toaster app via an apk, but I have to admit I have no idea what to do with it.
Rebooted multiple times.
There are no user installed certificates to delete / remove.
Under Settings->General Management->Reset, I went for Reset Settings and Reset network settings, with reboots etc...
None of the above have worked, the only thing I haven't done is a factory reset, to avoid the pain of restoring everything, even with backups etc it's tedious.
Any other suggestions or advice on anything I missed would be most welcome please before I take that step, many thanks in advance.
Peter
