Hello,
I got a samsung galaxy S and just updated to froyo 2.2. I noticed that 2.2. installed some new apps. There's one app called task panel or task manager where you can set the ram Niv 1 & 2 etc. I think this program is causing the following problem :
I listen to audio courses on the phone. When i go to work i pause the course to pick up where i left off later. The problem is that since i installed froyo 2.2. sleep mode shuts down the mp3 player so that i got to start the course (30min) all over again. Before the update sleep mode didn't affect the MP3 player.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thx!
I had a problems with music player on froyo too. Try to switch to another music player from market. All problems are gone.

I'm struggling with the same problem and I don't want to install another player because the stock one is perfect, except for this problem.
Have you found a solution yet?
Install Music Mod from market. JUST DO IT
Hi All,
On the iPhone you can multitask as much as you want, then return to the music player and resume your most recent song 'now playing' in the respective position.
This also works on Android on the Samsung Galaxy Note, although I have noticed that if you leave it too long or multi-task enough it seems to forget that you were playing anything. I.e. you go into the 'music' application and there is no current song playing
Is this standard? Note I am running Galaxy note stock with Gingerbread, no root etc
I do not know how and where the built in music player stores his temporary data but I assume Android kills this temporary data when it notices the mentioned file hasn't been used in a certain amount of time or isn't needed anymore. Maybe after unplugging it from PC the file is getting erased.
I get a similar issue with the Audible Book player. Some days I get in my car, plug in the note, and it starts playing. Other days it just does nothing and the current book has been removed from the list.
I assume the data is dropped if space is needed.

Hi everybody,
I'm use to run in the afternoon and yesterday I tried to use my OB like MP3 player. unfortunaly, the songs start lagging after 5/10 seconds they started. I've disabled all gestures, without any result.
PS: I've the stock V30B 4.0.4 LG ICS
Does it working normal until yesterday?
1. try another music player
2. find if you have a bloatware, disbale it.

Sincerely I wouldn't be sure because I tried to use OB like mp3 player for the first time yesterday. So I'm going to follow your advice: try another music player. Any suggestion? maybe Apollo?
I don't know if I have or not a bloatware: from the task manager I don't see any strange software. Are there some programs/software that allow you to see if you have/n't these bloatware?
thanks

Power amp , Player Pro, Rocket Player, Double Twist, Winamp, Clean Music Player... and more you can try.
I love Power amp. In CM rom i used Apollo, in ICS i used stock player (because Dolby Mobile)
A list of removable app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032668
But I dont think it make stock music play lag. But you can remove some to get best performance.
Also, you can try some ICS based ROM in Dev section.

When I download or add music through usb my music app usually shows duplicate albums. When I delete them it comes back or just deletes all the songs and I have to put them back on again why does this happen.
Thanks
Can anyone give advice atall had so many problems with this phone had it for 2weeks and battery and flex board went so HTC fixed it. Now I have duplicate albums which say unable to play so end up having to delete and try again for it to happen again and phone seems pretty laggy when I unlock phones it takes few seconds for my lockscreen music widget to show so annoying I'm I better off restoring phone
I wish to use my old HTC One as a full fledged music player. Only as Music and occasionally video player and GPS device for my car. How can I customize the OS so that it consumes least of battery life? I dont want any of the apps to consume battery as I will not use any apps on it. So how can I go ahead and removing the battery hungry things? Any suggestions to max out the battery?
I love my HTC One. Its one of best handsets I own. But because of stupid service that they provide which couldnt replace the broken camera because they cannot get spare parts :/ and when mouthpiece gave up, I had to retire it.

Are you rooted, unlocked and have custom recovery?
If yes then you could install a light weight ROM like cyanogenmod and then don't install gapps (gapps are battery hungry). I suggest cyanogenmod because it comes in with a file manager application and audio fx which is a decent equalizer also there is a neat feature called music visualizer should come in handy since you'll use it as a music player. Then what you could do next is install android apks of the apps you want, unfortunately you won't be able to use google apps because you won't have google services but, you can install pretty much any other app.
This is the website I download apps from http://www.apkmirror.com/
Once the app is downloaded you can move it to your phone via usb if you didn't download it directly on your phone. I recommend to have all the apk's on the Downloads folder for easy access. Then on your htc one m7 click on the apk file and it should prompt you to install it (make sure to go to security in settings and enable "Unknown sources") A ROM with no gapps should give you good battery life. Also if by video player you mean Youtube you can always install a browser to view youtube videos from a browser or just use the browser that cyanogenmod brings.
You can also check out this thread for tips to maximize the battery http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-extreme-battery-life-t3095884 Of course I don't think that you would be able to redeem any purchasing of the apps listed. What you could do though is purchase the apps from the google play store and then use titanium backup to back them up. Then restore them once you flashed cyanogenmod and installed titanium backup through the method I described before . Should work as i have restored paid apps such as Nova Laucher Prime without installing gapps. However, this didn't work for Riptide GP2 so I am not sure about greenify and amplify. Still don't worry about it too much since again no gapps equals immediately better battery and also happiness of knowing google is not spying on you as much
I know this a long read but, I hoped this has helped you in your usage of your Htc One M7. M7 rocks still using mine and is running perfectly for me for an almost 3 year old device.
