What's up. Just flashed CloudyG3 and everything was fine until I rebooted and got the process.gapps stopped working error after a reboot.
For the life of me I cant get it taken care of.
Suggestions???
Edit. I installed a themed google keyboard and that was the culprit. Switched back to the stock keyboard and it went away.

Hey guys.
Having a bizarre issue with my wife's G1. Scrolling (using the touch screen) has stopped working in the browser. However it works everywhere else (home screens, other apps, etc).
I suggested that she install "Dolphin Browser" from the Market and see if it worked in that. However, it's not working in that browser either!
She's running the latest Cyanogen ROM, and prior to installing the ROM, she wiped from CM Recovery. It can't be to do with the ROM though, as it worked after she flashed the ROM, and it just randomly stopped working earlier today.
What should I try to fix it?
Bizarrely enough....it started working again. Very strange.
I keep getting same problem.... Reboot normally fixes it.
I'm running 1.9.30
Yesterday I was trying to find an app to play Justin.TV streams so I could get an NFL game that wasn't being played locally. I tried a few different apps...none of which really worked...Then my phone started acting weird and force closed everything. I restarted and uninstalled the few apps I had tried. Seemed to work fine the rest of the day yesterday. This morning I launched the amazon app store and the force closes started piling on again. This time, when I restarted, I get to the MIUI boot screen and it just hangs there.
Any ideas on how to resolve? How do I get to recovery for MIUI? 3-button isn't working.
I'm relatively new to all this, so the only idea I have is to get to download mode (I do have a jig), return to stock and reinstall MIUI. I'm not sure when my last titanium backup ran though...so it'd be better if I can get it up and running at least to do a backup and then reinstall if still necessary.
Any ideas?
If you are having that many fc's, its best to reflash. Also, after you get to stock, but before you flash MIUI again, I would flash the I897 GB bootloaders to fix your 3 button problem.
Alright, I'll do that.
Are these the bootloaders your referring to?

I was actually talking about the one in my sig. But those should work.
In advance: I may be a idiot.
I received my LG L90 D410hn yesterday and was happily fooling around. Summing up, all I'd done was:
instaling LG OTA update
successfuly rooting it (towel)
installing greenify pro/donation edition
installing Classic Messaging
Installing Google Launcher (sideloading apk)
Greenifying the bloatware described all along this thread
Eveything was running smooth and crisp, but the dialer design really got to my nerves. So I decided to try to install my LG Optimus 2X custom rom's dialer (The ROM) because that is NEAT.
I backed up my original Phone apk and other related apps with ES File Explorer just in case and uploaded the apks to my Dropbox.
Then I proceeded to uninstall the Phone app. The try was rewarded with a "unsuccesful" message, but the app was seemed gone from the system apps list. So I tried to install the dialer from the Custom rom... no success. I decided to give up, restored the back up and everything was OK.
I went to bed and even dreamed about this marvelous phone, just to wake up to a... Well:
"com.android.phone crashed" messages
no access to any of my SMS apps - stock or Classic Messaging. It just closes with no warning or error message
No data connection. Actually, my SIM wasn't recognized at all after a while
I took my SIM card and put it back in my old phone and, until I rebooted for the second time, the card was problematic, but now it's ok.
How can I clean this mess? I tried to clean the Phone cache to no success, then proceeded to a factory reset with the same outcome
(I have no MicroSD card on the L90)
Follow this Guide and reflash stock rom. :good:

When you place your original dialer back into its original place, make sure the permissions are r-w-rr, and then reboot. If that doesn't work, I'm sure someone else can help you out. There's a fix for this besides reflashing the KDZ.

Thank you, guys! I ended up reflashing KDZ. It was a breeze though, so no hard feelings.
I did, indeed, read about the permission settings, but couldn't find a good guide at the time so I let it slip.
Reflash KDZ didnt fix it for me
I have an almost identical problem after attempting to install the google dialer. I reflashed the phone but it still had all the previously loaded apps still in it including the dialer and services. Any ideas what to do next? The dialer and services have the correct permissions. I noted in another post that the version on these is 0.
UPDATE:
Nevermind. I solved the problem. Jusy installed Bad Boyz Sprint Sense 6 rom and everything now works alot better.
After having boatloads of problems that came out of the blue, I had to RUU my Sprint M7 back to stock. Luckily that fixed everything it seems. All except the camera app. I could open the app. But it would do nothing but stay frozen for a few seconds and then crash. I had previously been using the Jishnu camera mod. So I flashed it. It showed that it flashed successfully. But after rebooting, the camera was completely missing. The camera apk was in the system apps folder. But it was nowhere to be found in Settings or anywhere else.
So I went a step further and installed a stock Sprint M7 deodexed rom. That brought the camera back. But it was the same problem all over again. Frozen. Would not work at all. Installing the camera mod changed the icon to a green Android bot. When clicking the icon, it would show "App isn't installed" or something similar.
Next I went into app settings and cleared the data under "HTC Sense". That seemed to reset the home screen. And the camera app icon was completely gone once again.
Is there some way to fix this problem? I don't really get why this is happening, even after re flashing the whole OS. I am familiar with manually moving files into the system directory. But not sure how to set permissions.
Phone is rooted.
I just rooted my phone and installed TWRP. My phone was working flawlessly before the root. There was absoultely no lag and everything was working great. I just rooted and it all went to hell. Here are some issues I'm having:
Lag. Every 20 seconds my phone kind of freezes for 2-3 seconds. So if I click sometime or type something during that lag, it freezes for 3 seconds and than completes the task I was doing. Really annoying because its happening so often.
Exposed isn't working right. Every time I try to install a module it gets stuck on the "installing" screen. Takes way to long to install something. I just installed Wanam and it seriously took about 2 mins.
Wanam isn't working at all. When I open the app and click something nothing happens. It's frozen completely. Than I get a pop up that wanam isn't responding would you like to close it? I've restarted my phone about 10 times.
The experience is just bad now. the lag and all these issues.. I wish I didn't root. I read that it's something do with S-Health and deleting its data and cache should help. I did that and it's still the same.
Please help!
Odin back to stock and start
over.

I guess I'll factory reset and redo the process. Really didn't wanna do that though lol. Worked forever to set it up the way I like it.
Ya know how you feel I'm on my second note 4 my first was a dud and had to get a new one but probably did 4 resets trying different settings and talking to tech support but good luck
Did you flash a custom rom? I think being stock rooted is the problem. Mine was acting up a bit while running stock rooted 'til I took the plunge and flashed firekat.
I'd be willing to bet if you flashed any rom your problems would be over. Including the stock ones in development.
Samsung has you in a funny situation 'til you flash.

Do any of the ROMs offer s-pen support? Would I be able to, say, freeze S Note, flash firekat, and then unfreeze the S Note app and have it function properly?
Firekat comes with s-note. No need to freeze and reinstall.
In fact he just gave out the apk for sketchbook for galaxy in his rom thread.
PS.
Flashing a custom rom at this point is not that much different than stock or stock rooted.
It's just the hiccups are taken out by the best of the best.
All the roms have s-pen working.
If you flash firekat following the instructions in the op.
S-note will be included and work for you.

it happened to me, it was with xposed and wanam,,, I just installed my stock odex rom tethering rom, and install SU and restored all my apps with titanium backup, except xposed and wanam, everything is working great, goto the theme and app section, foreverloco has the inverted apps, and I am super happy this way, I just delete the bloat apps from my rom and goto go...
Noticed that Xposed was a bit wonky for me at first today too but things settled down. I basically focused on getting S-Health working first and it seemed like once I got XSecureStorage installed to address S-Health things went smoothly thereafter.
OP. Exact thing happened to me and I freaked out. I forgot about flashing stock image and went to t mobile and got an exchange. Basically I'm scared to do it again.
