4.3 OTA ML2 Root Method!

Hello there fellow XDA peeps. I figured out the way to root the OFFICIAL OTA 4.3 Update. Build Number UCUBML2.
1. Download the the following file http://www.mediafire.com/download/x4n952wzyr3eobd/pwnedkernel.tar.md5 and flash it with odin under PDA. I pulled the boot.img from the 4.3 leak and as we all know it is vulnerable to saferoot and other root method around.
2. After phone reboots enable USB debugging mode try using saferoot or Vroot..google it... it will work .
3. Because this is an older kernel, wifi and some other stuff dont work but dont panic. Flash the next file https://www.mediafire.com/?08j1wqn0x7igjq0 with odin under PDA . This is the stock ML2 kernel.
4. After phone reboots launch Supersu and allow the binary to get updated. Also disable that pesky Knox :laugh:
5 .???
6. Profit. Enjoy your rooted apps and safestrap :good::good:
P.S. I have the 4.2.2 modem because I had to repair the imei of the phone..but just ignore it. and again enjoy

PERFECT!

I don't know what's the problem with wife after I flashed my phone from 4.2.2 MF1 to 4.3 ML2 ..now my phone is rooted some one have any idea how do get fix it.. my wife working but when I connected to my router I can't turn off the phone or restated it .. I have to do first forget connection then I can restart the phone ..if I not doing that way the wifi doesn't work

Did you reflash the stock ML2 kernel? The MI2 kernel from the leak breaks wifi

Yes I did .. I got this issue from month a go when released the 4.3ML2 and today i rooted it my phone. i tried to fix it but i couldn't fix it

You gonna have to wait for the roms/safestrap to get updated by their developers.

Confirmed working using Heimdall command line and Safe root on Linux. Great work OP.

flash stock ML2 Odin file. Then Flash the MF1 Modem with odin.... I can upload the file later..In download mode your system status must read official otherwise Odin will fail.
Edit : heres the file . Flash it under Phone in ODin NOT PDA http://www.mediafire.com/download/144if4s5ah5vqk7/modem.bin

He didnt. Somone put together boot image odin tar that is what you are flashing boot image only

How to restore to stock

I cant seem to find the mf3 full odin tar to load stock on the active exactly as it would if I updated it from pure stock mf1. I found this but this is mf1 and i didn't think those things are downgradable. the reason is is i have corrupted my system and things are going bad fast i just wanna start over fresh.

Are you on an att device? If so There is no mf3 for us. Its either 4.2.2 mf1 which locks you out of future OTAs and there is also 4.3 ML2 which is rootable and you will be able to receive 4.4 ota if it is ever made available to us. Choose wisely my friend.

yeah. is 4.2.2 mf1 rootable? can any of these install custom roms or safestrap 4.4 roms?

4.2.2,is probably your best bet for now. Safestrap is fully functional on mf1. Some users are unable to create ROM slots on 4.3 so maybe wait till safestrap is fixed then update to 4.3

Is it safe to go forth wjth safestrap? All i want is to flash a theme for my phone dont want roms or anything. Is there anything i should do before i try to install?

Read the safestrap instructions carefully...and you'll have an easy installation...
It works very well....and as mentioned above...always make a full backup before flashing any system changes...g

check the requirements of the themes first, if you are rooted stock only, depending on the theme it may not be compatible with the stock odexed rom.

Can I flash Odin

To go back to stock from dynamic Kat rom, and then do the OTA to get my phone current?

you can revert to the NCE firmware via odin, but for me, if i try and to the OTA update, it fails. dont know what.

Can we flash G900F rom (international version) in G900A (at&t version) via odin.....???

Why don't you just root your phone and install Safestrap and flash G900F, G900A, G900T Roms?

Sorry...I'm on the s5 active..and the reason I asked this method is because I was rooted with safe strap and wanted to unroot and take the OTA update. .well I tried all the methods mentioned in that post but Odin just stops at initializing and when I try going to the stock recovery and flashing the update there it's still NE4 not NG4. .so I'm kinda lost

Follow instruments exactly it does work perfectly. Take your time and make sure you don't skip a step. It works

Odin stays at initializing....doesn't move past that...even left it for 10 mins...

One file is a big file and takes awhile to load

Rooting

As you see from my signature I have SM-N910T is the boot loader on the T-Mobile version and we're do I get most of items to download and should I update from 4.4.4 to lollipop first? I rather be redundant but better to be safe than sorry.
Right now I just want root so can move apps ect from S5 to this one.

You can get the official Samsung Lollipop N910T firmware at http://sammoobile.com
Then all you need is odin, cf-autoroot, and twrp recovery.
Here is a direct download link for the zip file package containing odin,

Am rooted now to get the rest on here so can load OS'S ect just not sure which one to choose or which is made for this TWRP or what and we're to get it at?

Here is a tip the sd fix to write to it I foxed without loading anything at all I just needed root too the app is called :
NEXT app
SD Fix
Get it google play store
It also does Lollipop I can confirm this.
