I'm on JV9 ODEX rom (of my carrier), and I wanted to ask if it's possible to do the folowing on ODEX rom:
1) Disable the increasing ringtone? It's the most important - IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY
2) Enable CRT off screen?
3) Get rid of the battery icon - it really doesn't help if no it doesnt show precentage.
Thanks.
You could do all those with a custom ROM of your choice... But that wouldn't be an ODEX ROM then...
I know that.
But i like a specific rom and it works excellent, but it's odexed, so i wanna know if it's possible to apply these changes on an odexed rom!
In need of a modified SemcPhone.apk for Xperia Z so that 2g/3g toggle can be enabled in Tasker and other such apps.
Found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30853873 in the Xperia Arc thread can I replace the existing SemcPhone.apk with the mentioned ?
I also came across this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739530 but as i don't have a working recovery i cannot use this flashable zip
Or is there any other alternative to get the 2g/3g toggle working ?
Phone Status : Rooted , Recovery not working and Locked bootloader.
I would like to use toggle2g, too.
Sent from my Xperia Z using xda premium
I searched pretty much all over xda and got to know that xperia phones need their semcphone.apk modified to have that functionality.
So if someone could give me a modified semcphone.apk for xperia z or guide me towards modifying it I'll be very grateful
Ive been creating some flashable zips for the sony icons (i find them nicer than CM's stock ones) but the one I cant seem to get working is the NFC icon. Ive pinched the stat_sys_nfc_forum.png from the stock 4.1.2 rom but I guess CM has nothing that references it.
Ive already set the build.prop to enable the NFC icon so that isnt the problem.
Is there a specific name i need to give the icon or some file i need to edit to reference it correctly?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello,
I have an Xperia Z3 Compact and am looking for a way to change stock system app icons (ideally without using another launcher). I am aware you can use an apk tool to decompile, replace icons and recompile an app, but that doesn't work with system apps like Settings, Camera and Phone. Those cannot be dumped by an apk tool. Do I need root for this? How do I proceed? Please help :crying:

Hi, currently there are bunch of applications on the marketplace (e.g. Desktop VisualizeR) able to create custom shortcuts (i.e. allowing custom icons usage) on home screens.
As far as I know, however, rooted or not, there is no possibility to change icons system-wide, so they will stay the same in app-drawers, app pickers, task managers, etc. EDIT: Oh well, not for free!
If you, like me, find that icons for Sony applications are a bit dated yet you do not want to abandon their super fast launcher, you can always wait for the upcoming Lollipop update, which hopefully will bring us a UI overhaul

If you are root You can use unicon to change icons with stock launcher.

Using unicon, this is the stock launcher
