Boot loader unlock - LG G Flex

Is this legit? If so would it help is get a KitKat recovery?
http://androidflagship.com/8837-unlock-lg-g-flex-bootloader

Try it and see lol in all seriousness though that guide was posted nearly 2 months ago. I find it hard to believe that a method to unlock the bootloader that is that easy has been around that long and no one here has stumbled upon it until now. Of course I've been wrong before so....

That was my thought too and this is my only phone so I can't afford to brick it

So if you actually read the whole things you would see the comments and notice that this articles posted back in May.

Yeah that's me that commented on it. Dumbass reported I was randomly googling "how to unlock lg g flex bootloader". And came across this. So of course I was like hell yeah man. So I clicked and it redirects to some dark blah blah blah hosting site that doesn't even remotely pertain to android much our bootloader. So I had to comment on it. For the life of me I can't understand why in the hell this journalist would just write a fake article and even go as far as post links. I mean just fabricate what ever you want to in your on little world then go play in traffic. Geeez

What is this phone?
T-Mobile Pulse 2.1
I only know because the Link had a description linking to it on Twitter. But that's what I mean.
Has nothing to do with Android Hacking. Moved to Off-Topic (for now) since I don't understand the point of the thread.
@G1
Let me know what exactly you were trying to do with this thread and I might move it elsewhere.
I'm trying to show MoDaCo's development/Developizing in the Android-World.

Happened to me as well. I'm personally curious as to what it is.
@eXplicit815 @Indirect
From what I've read online, it's pretty much an apk that HTC made for logging purposes (?) and due to some glitchiness it expired early, leading to the notification. According to the Sprint forums they're currently talking to HTC about an update or something to fix this.

I take it that you are one of the wise guys on this forum. I don't know why you must come back with snide remarks to my post. If you do not like my post then move on. some of us are not as wise as folks like you think you are. If I said something wrong then report it to the mods. don't take it upon yourself to try and close topics and run the show.
Don't let the fools get you down. They'll know better once they exit puberty.
Ok, i think we have run this far enough......closed

If only that were true - I got a Nexus 5X earlier today, which was totally unexpected (I had a faulty G2 which I sent off to repair, the shop lost it and gave me a store credit to replace it) and I don't yet have a USB A-C cable, so I can't!
That's definitely a first world problem but I've never owned any Android device, let alone a Nexus which wasn't rooted/running a custom ROM by the end of the first day I owned it :crying:
Clearly, I'm a rootophile!
Wow, well i have rootophobia, or maybe are brickphobia.
I've got a binary disorder, Rootophobia. Causes massive RAM consumption and migraines.
And here I thought rooting was instinctual.
