You might want to pull the dialer/phone apk from a stock rom and install it or re-install Cyanogen with a full wipe or go back to stock and see if works there.

I have tried restocking but it bootloops when I do that. I even tried installing ViperOne but that didn't work either

I think your options are limited.
1. Flash a nandroid if available
2. Run a RUU
I have noticed a lot of people coming from Cyanogen having boot-loops.

Here install this and you can try multiple recoveries to see which one works for you. I think that is your problem. Just a side note...you have to use the volume and power buttons to navigate through aroma installer. Hope this helped man. Let me know

Just try capt throwbacks version, you'll find it on the mikmik website or in his signature.

FYI, I posted in the other thread he made about the issue and it is indeed a problem with twrp recovery, it is not fully compatible with the hk version for some reason, I "solved" my issue by using philz touch recovery
I am currently running capt. Throwbacks recovery but I will give the other recoveries a try as u suggest. I'll let ya know if I get one to work.

Sorry to thread jack if that's what I'm doing but his issue was probably fixed as he has not updated this and it's touching on an issue I have with Aroma installers....I've tried the Bad Boys, NVProject, Bad Seed (i think) and one or two other Sense ROMS and they all use Aroma installers. Even that Recovery Switcher that uses Aroma I can't get working properly. I believe in many cases the touch screen is supposed to be working but mine will not work nor do that arrow keys + power advance me down the list of options. I can SOMETIMES check the agreement boxes if I hold power and press a bunch of times on the screen while hitting the side buttons, lol. This 'technique' has gotten me almost all the way through an Aroma installation but, inevitably, I end up hitting back instead of finish or can't make anyting but the "about' to come up.
I have no problems installing AOSP and AOKP roms via Philz or the Twrp I was using its only the Sense ROMS/Aroma combo that are giving me trouble....
Currently I am S-OFF and have reverted back to the sense stock rom and taken the OTA which has me up to software version 1.54.654.13.
I am having issues with my 3G and getting stuck in 1xRTT or Roaming constantly but I think this may be a network issue as tens of thousands of acres have burnt to the ground as close as 1 mile from my house this week and Sprint said they had dispatched some technicians to examine some of their structures/tower in southern california......
The only other thing I can think of is that I had to fastboot oem writeCID 11111111 to get the RUU to work...was I supposed to change that to something else afterwards?

The problem is the aroma installer hasn't been updated to be compatible with spirit as of yet. Use the volume up/down to highlight things and power to select. I think it's vol down 4 times and then up once to get to next. You will get the hang of it.

ok sorry havent updated til now but i have tried all the recoveries in the zip to install multiple recoveries easily and not one of them would work to install viperone rom but i tried bady boyz with them all as well and i was able to get that installed using philz recovery but none of the others worked with it. when i try viperone with any recovery it wont even start up aroma intsaller at all just gives me failed right away in the recovery. so as of now im on bad boyz rom but i want viperone rom im not satisfied with any other. bad boyz is a good rom dont get me wrong i have just used viper since i began rooting my phones and i love it. anyways aroma works for the recovery install zip just fine (other then the touch not working) so i dont knopw if its a recovery issue or something with aroma or possibly viperone rom even i have no clue?. thanks for all ur replies and suggestions everyone ur a big help always. id love to get this solved so i can run viperone rom again as i had on my first H/K M8 that i exchanged for the current one i am using. sorry again took so long to update

oh as to the volume/power buttons for selecting the options in aroma. i believe that there is no exact combo to get the selection on the next button. ive had 1 or 2 pages that i only hit down once and it selected next right away and then sometimes it didnt. so it varies on the up down number of times. ive had it not work using down so many times then up once a few times so its hard to really be certain . just my finding about that issue.

I know my issue was fixed by using philz recovery, wiping data, cache, and system and then installing a new rom. If the issue is what I think it is, then wiping all the partitions I mentioned should fix it. (I think the issue is related to some file system corruption and twrp not being able to properly handle the corruption, when other recoveries work just fine, so formatting the partition will get rid of the corrupted data)

You can wipe boot partition as well, just dont wipe anything you dont immediately recognize (I know philz touch has tons of options to wipe different partitions, and a lot of them probably would be bad to wipe lol)

ok i wiped said partitions and tried installing viper from philz recovery and twrp recovery and no go same thing happening. almost got worried when i tried rebooting and got the "no OS installed, r u sure?" but i just installed bad boyz again to get going again. im gonna try RUUing cause now i get a message after my phone starts saying something bout inconsistent partitions, u must wipe data partition or phone will be unstable. so gonna just RUU and start from there. do u know by chance if it is possible to create a backup with say twrp recovery and able to restore it with any of the recoveries such as philz or does a backup need to restored using the recovery it was created with? thanks again.
Here is a shot of what I received in philz after attempting viper install. http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums...s/2014-05/IMG_20140519_010012_zpsl8wwj5mi.jpg
ok so i RUUed with the RUU u suggested and then tried installing Viperone rom and still getting the same failed status. i tried restoring my backup i made before attempting these suggestions and it seems they do not restore completely either. errrrr so frustrating! my first M8 i had no problems with root soff recovery or installing viperone... this one is just not going so well. im gonna keep at it tho until i get viperone on my phone. lol
Good news.. I was able to install ViperONEm8 rom finally after all the hassle.
i went to TWRP recovery website and downloaded the TWRP recovery 2.7.0.2 and downnloaded ViperONEm8 1.5.0 version and flashed the recovery and installed the 1.5.0 version without a problem i tried 1.6.0 first but got the failed thing again but 1.5.0 installed no problem. YAYYY!!
Thank you all for your help

[Q] M7 Custom roms install then freeze

Got an interesting issue. Interesting as in annoying the **** outta me ha ha
My phone accepts and installs any custom ROM (Tried Maximus, ViperOne and Revolution so far) it says successfully installed, press here to reboot - all good to that point. I then reboot and it sticks at the HTC screen forever - left it overnight just in case it was doing something funky and just needed time. Some of the ROM issues I've read about suggest clearing cache etc. No luck so far.
If I then hard reboot, go to recovery and clear cache or factory reset it doesn't change the result. The only ROM that doesn't have this issue is CM 11 via their installer program.
Any ideas what I'm missing?
I thought about finding a RUU and going back to the start but of course I can't find a RUU for my area (Australia) nearest one is Asia - and I'm not sure if I can just use another RUU and cant find anything to say either way.
Can anyone give me any pointers?? Ideally I'd like to be left with the Revolution ROM BTW
Thanks
Did you try to update your custom recovery?

[Q] Post-Flash Issues (Rebooting, Cannot Send Texts)

Hello everyone! Thank you for your time.
I have a AT&T HTC One from launch day. I recently flashed the AT&T stock ROM for 4.4.2 over an old 4.2 Google Play Edition ROM for my phone. I used ADB Sideload in TWRP 2.5 to do so. I also rooted. After flashing, I was fine for about a day, but then two issues occurred.
1) I can no longer send texts. I receive them fine and the phone works otherwise for calls, Wi-Fi, data, etc. but nobody I've texted is receiving texts. I've tried using a third-party client and the built in one.
2) If I reboot the phone, the phone will boot up normally, work for about a minute or two, then reboot again. This cycle repeats until I flash again. Clearing the caches does not help. I'm still able to access everything until it reboots and getting into the Settings menu seems to prevent this issue from occurring, but I have no idea why this is happening.
I know I can always flash another ROM and those seem to work fine, but I'd really like to stick with stock or a similar-stock experience where I can root. Anyone that can recommend a solution or a ROM that's close to stock would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

[Q] Phone reboots every 15-30 seconds

I recently rooted my HTC a few days ago. I downloaded Titanium Backup to get rid of the Sprint bloatware. Did it and everything was fine. However, a few hours ago I turned my phone off as I had a speech to deliver. Turned it back on and now it is rebooting every 15-30 seconds. Also, my text messaging is weird. I use hangouts and the messages stay on "sending" and yet apparently they are sent since I am getting replies. I am using Google Hangouts. I can still make calls and all that so I know I still have service. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I DO NOT have S-Off. Just a standard root, if that helps. My guess is that I most likely uninstalled something I shouldn't have. If so, could anyone provide a stock HTC rom or app package I can flash? Is this even possible since I don't have S-Off?

i believe the standard messaging app is still required for texting even if hangouts is handling it. did you uninstall stock messaging? also as a rule of thumb i tend to freeze instead of uninstall the apps that way i dont have to hunt down a flash if it messes up. this is also why you always make a nandroid anytime you mess with your phone's software.

Nope, I did not uninstall the stock messaging app. And yeah, I forgot to do a nandroid backup. Do you know where I can find a stock ROM to flash? Do I need S-Off to flash roms?
What version of SuperSU do you have installed? I recall seeing an issue awhile back where some other folks were having reboot issues and flashing the newest version of SuperSU fixed their issue. If that doesn't fix your issue you'll need to reflash your ROM. You can take a look at the thread in the link below, also. It has stock backups that you can load and install via recovery. You can also run the RUU that's the equivalent of what you're currently running.
Stock backups:

RUU's:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
Once you get things running again, make sure you make a backup in TWRP.

Alright man I'm not able to get the files onto my phone since, like I said, it reboots an all that. Ideally, I'd like to simply flash a 100 percent stock ROM and I just won't **** with the damn thing ever again. If you could help me with this, I'd be eternally grateful.

Htc one can't go back to stock

Hi everyone, I 've successfully installed cm11 using Qbking77 tutorial with the CyanogenMod Installer on my htc one but after having some problems with music playback and battery life I've decided to go back to stock.
I've successfully relocked the phone but I can't find the exact Ruu file for my phone and I've tried with other similar ruu but had no luck.
The phone is S On HBBOOT-1.57.000 RADIO -4T.29.3218.08 OS-6.09.401.5
The phone is also stuck in boot loop and recovery mode does not work.
I have found a guy with a similar problem in this site and someone told him to try to run the firmware first and then try to flash TWRP, now the problem is after downloading the firmware file when typing the cmd command adb reboot bootloader it says that it can not find any devices. I'm not really sure what to do now.
Any help appreciated!!!thanks

Firstly, have you enabled usb debugging on your phone? And have you downloaded the most up to date adb drivers and the most up to date HTC drivers?
Because you are s on you cannot flash to downgrade your firmware
Also as your bootloader is now relocked, you cannot flash TWRP either. The bootloader needs to be unlocked to flash custom recovery
There is no RUU available for your phone, so the best option is either a guru reset which will also install stock recovery, or a nandroid backup

about the usb debugging if you are talking before the boot loop happened, yes I had it enable.
I'm gonna try one of those options to see if it works and then I'm gonna report back to let you know what happened.
btw thank you for the reply.

You are welcome, haven't fixed anything yet but come back here again with how things are going
The only way your going to get any function from adb is through recovery, using the sideload method. You should get yourself TWRP and flash using fastboot, then boot to recovery and side load a stockish rom, say viperone or the like. I choose not to run CM or any other AOSP rom for the reasons you listed in OP among others. I currently run ViperOne comming from CM and the battery life is not even comparable. Going back to stock is going to be tough per with your version of hboot s-off is not an easy task as of yet.

I'm quite new to this things so I don't understand much about it, but do you recommend installing a different rom rather then going back to stock? to be honest after all these problems I've had with cm11 I would prefer going back to stock :/

You need to unlock your bootloader first via HTC dev and then flash TWRP recovery
Reboot to recovery and choose to sideload a Rom via adb - download a sense Rom of your choice. There are plenty to chose from
Unfortunately, your going to have a difficult time going back to "Stock." You can use a custom recovery to flash a "Stock" rom, as stovie_steve mentioned, a sense rom. To you the phone will be "Stock" the only difference here is your warranty is void .

I unlocked the bootloader and rebooted the phone and everything seems to work fine. But now I don't know what I should do... Now I don't think that I want to go back to stock because it looks a bit difficult and I might end up doing something wrong and brick my phone. Is the viper rom good? I've got cm11 but as I said the battery is draining fast and I still got the music playback problem. Is it hard to install another rom? If it's not I'll probably do it.

Step 1: download a sense based ROM - ARHD, viper one, insertcoin etc onto your phone
Step 2: flash latest TWRP
Step 3: flash the ROM you downloaded
Step 4: **optional** to obtain s off, use firewater or sunshine
Thanks for the help I'm probably gonna try to install the viper one

Personally, ViperOne is the only sense based rom I will use. Its loaded with goodies and stable as they come. But there will be no harm in flashing many roms until you find something you like. Try Viper, do some shopping around, simply do a backup and flash whatever.. dont like it restore your back up. Just remember to have a current back up always. I keep ViperOne and CM installs on the sd as well as backups of both, never know what mood I be in, have the 64GB so I dont mind 5-10GB tied up by these things. Its up to You but Yes I recommend ViperOne,
