Emoji on stock v20 (JB) !? - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Themes and Apps

Is there any way to get emoji on stock rom ?
I've already tried emoji keyboardlike "kk emoji keyboard ", and "aosp keyboard" from cm11 b9.1
I can see the emoji only with kk emoji keyboard, (aosp keyb do not work well, only few standard emotics...)
BUT when i enter an emoji in the stock sms messenger i got a blank space and the counter goes from 160 to about 90 !!!
i've also tried handcent with emoji plugin, but even if i've installed emoji plugin, any time i try to add an emoji from visula menu (and not from keyboard) handcent says that i need to install emoji plugin, (the store came out and emoji plugin is already installed....)
IF i try to insert a emoji from kk emoji keyboard i got the same as stock sms messanger...
i've also tried chompsms with emoji sms , in this case it fails installing emoji plugin.....
Need help plz!!!:crying:

no one ?

There is an option solution to your problem. You can install the keyboard Fleksy, it contains a set of emoji. I'm on Fleksy all emoji work fine

Here is an example

you can try to re-install the Gapps... ?

It's interesting

I have a problem yesterday, the process "KeyBoard (AOSP) is stop" or similar.. I did re-install the Gapps and now is solver all problem with Googlel Apps, sync and stability:silly:

i'm on stock rom...
i've tried cm 9.1 with fix but is to battery demanding, in idle it's perfct 1% in 8h, but as soon i use the phone just to have a 5min call it drains too fast from 99% to 80%....
i've tried aosb that seems terrific, battery is even better then stock but is too buggy, white theme crash the performance app, sms are buggy and always crashes (needed to be reinstalled manually mms.apk from cm11)
So i think i'll stay a little more back on stock v20g (italian localized)
but i wish at least have emoj working...
i'll try the Fleksy keyboard

U can try to Imer's ROM is an excellent ROM ! :sly::sly::sly::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

[Q] flash buil.prop through CWM ?

Hi, is it possible to flash buil.prop through CWM ? The idea is I would like to play with the DPI, but I know some values can mess up the system so that the ROM doesn't boot anymore. So the idea is to have a safe and working build.prop as flashable through VWM so that I can experiment without the threat of having to reinstall the whole ROM.
Is that doable ? and would it be sufficient to boot again on a ROM if I put a bad value as DPI ?
Thanks
I may be wrong, but afair one of the DPI apps available on Market, had an option whether to reapply the change on boot
if I'm correct, then you could test the density without risk
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I didn't find the app (searched for "DPI" and "density") but one of the app had a description saying you can restore build.pro through adb...so i'll look in that direction.
LCD density will allow you to test a dpi before applying it. Its on play store.

Well, it almost works. I'm on (TW based) Criskelo's v8, changed the DPI to 213, first with LCD density and then with ROM toolbox. I thought it would just boot loop, but
- except for touchwiz, launchers (Go, zeam, adw, apex (small area usuable on desktop though, but maybe it's supposed to work that way)) are ok,
- the s-apps I want work ok : camera, FM radio (I tried S-memo just for the sake of it, it has that well known lines problem)
- s-calendar was replaced by AOSP calendar and it works fine..though I don't see any difference with phone version...maybe because it was not "correctly" installed ?
- gmail, settings, kindle, chrome work as expected in tablet mode. Kindle had to get an update to work in tablet mode, before that it showed the regular phone version.
Now what doesn't work :
- I got that "UI.syst stopped" on every boot (don't care much about it)
- s-contacts doesn't work ! unfortunately I couldn't find a working AOSP contacts.apk, maybe that would work
- s-phone works so that's more important than s-contacts, but the layout is messed up, and you can't use contacts inside the app of course. Unfortunately I don't know of a AOSP dialer for TW roms,
- most annoying negative point to me : status bar doesn't show ! that may be the deal breaker for me.
I went to TW roms because I was tired of little things that didn't work in AOSP based roms, so if I can't find solutions for at least s-contacts and status bar, that's it for me I won't go any further in my quest of TW + tablet mode apps.

For the dialler, can you set one handed operation in settings (possibly under accessibility) that usually brings it back under operational state. Not sure about a fix for tw contacts though. There are alternative contacts and dialler apps in play store if you search dialler.
Use an alternative launcher for status bar? Recommend adw or launcher7 if you like windows phone layout, both work well. Adw probably more suitable for tablet dpi.

Unfortunately I tried an alternative dialer from the market, it displayed contacts correctly but FC'd as soon as I clicked on a contact, so I think it relies somehow on the TW contact app or framework. As for the status bar, it's never displayed whatever launcher I tried (Go, adw, zeam, apex, launcher pro), so I guess it's part of the framework and not of the launcher.

[Q] [Request] HTC T9 Keyboard

HI Guys,
I wish to use Jelly bean ROM thats available here but only thing that made me come back to Sense 4.0 Rom is that the JB Android doesnt have the T9 Keyboard that worries me much Is it possible just to port or zip that can get the t9 keyboard to CM10 or PA Rom
I tried another app for t9 Keyboard but it sucked HTC Keyboard Rocks!!
Can anyone port it? Possible??
To put it simply, you can't have any HTC app without all the others. So, you can't have the sense keyboard without any sense framework and other things it relies on.
Closest you can get is with a third party keyboard and a skin. I use Smart Keyboard Pro on AOSP roms

Did you download the english dictionary from the play store as well? You need that Also do a calibration from the keyboard's settings, that helps calibrate to your writing style

Stock msg app

I know this sounds stupid, but I really liked jb samsung stock messaging app, I miss it since on cm10.2
In cm there is only white theme. I installed 8sms, but it's slow and fonts can't be bigger.
Is there any chance for samsung stock msg to work in cm10.2?

It most probably need Touchwiz framework, that CM does not have. Use some theme - to make it black. Like this one for example https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.template.theme.ThyrusHoloBlack&hl=sr
I have installed it
Will check it in next days... but still the small font remains...
I tried it and don't like it, too dark

Dialer keypad color issue with MM OTA?

Installed OTA yesterday. Anyone else not able to change dialer keypad from the mental hospital white? I would prefer a dark dialer keypad, which was available in Sense 6. The only option under personalize is default (white). Initially the same was true with the keyboard, but after changing themes in the new theme settings, I got other options for the keyboard that were part of those themes. Still only default for dialer keypad, and no theme change would change it either, so regardless of theme chosen I still only get white.
I looked around the forums and saw that some had the same problem with sense 7 ROMs running on M8 and M9. There was a workaround by uninstalling the dialer app, and then updating it or simply reverting back to sense 6 dialer, but I've no option to do that under the app (just force stop, no uninstall).
Kind of at a dead end in figuring it out. Don't care for the bloat of 3rd party dialer/phone/messaging apps, but might have to try one. I'm not into rooting or mods on my main communication device, and so this phone has never been anything but stock (except for apps available in the store, naturally). I did have Apex launcher as my app launcher at the time of OTA, but that should not have thrown a wrench into the update (at least I don't think it should have). My next step is to factory reset to see if that resolves it...which I'm not eager to do.
Any thoughts?
Use the themes app and download a new keyboard theme.
Not all themes come with keyboard recolouring...

Thanks for the reply. I tried that. None of the themes had any affect on the dialer keypad -- still just white --, even the ones that showed in the preview to do so. The keyboard was changeable with via applying themes.
Hmmmm, if it is a Sense 7 based Sense 6 ROM , it won't work, AFAIK the only official Sense 7 ROM is Stock Rooted, soon will also have Bad Boyz 4.0.
Try the stock rooted, then report back please!
I'm not running a ROM, I'm newly OTA updated with Marshmallow, so I'm stoock Sense 7. I guess I'm wondering if what I described (only white phone dialer keypad) is normal behavior for Sense 7. Like I said, I can't change the color of the phone dialer keypad from white, either in settings or themes. If this is correct behavior for stock sense 7, that's OK, and I'll explore other options by way of a phone app.
Again, thanks.
It doesn't seem like normal behavior, I'm on Stock rooted MM...that is literally just changing the theme for me.

Got it to work. Don't know what the problem is. Some themes that show a change to the dialer in the preview do change it when applied, some do not. Now to find a way to edit the theme and retain the change to the dialer.
Thanks for the help.
Same problem same solution. I've only got one theme that was actually able to change the dialer colour to black "darkside" but I hate everything else about it. Could you suggest any other

no keyboard

I rootet my phone and thought the swift keyboard was just a layout. And I dont like the swift keyboard, so I deletet it. What I didnt know was, that this wasnt just a layout, it was the whole keyboard. I wanted the AOSP Keyboard from Lineage, so I downloaded the APK and installed it. But neither the AOSP keyboard, nore the google keyboard from the play store cant be activated. (see screenshots)
How do I get rid of the swift keyboard and get the AOSP ready to use?
Edit: These screenshot were made after I resettet my phone and after I reflashed the system.img.
