I wanted to mess around with cyanogenmod on my lg g flex so i flashed it and it will load for a few seconds and reboot itself. i need help it wont stop.
Its going to do that if you read through the CM11 thread me and playful talk about that. Its an issue that is trying to fixed. I'm not sure why, I think he mentioned its got something to do with the data or maybe kernel. But either way just reboot to recovery and flash my stock deodexed 4.2 or dfuses (take you back to stock ) D95910c. Or restore your backup. You did make a backup didn't you ?

i looked. i swear. however, can't find anything that addresses my issue or at least i don't recognize it at my issue.
I have a DE Moto X on VZN.
unlocked bootloader
reverted from 4.4 to 4.2.2
flashed TWRP-2.6.3.1-ghost-4.4
Everything was working just fine and i couldn't leave well enough alone. I was screwing around and tried to flash/install/whatever an apk that would invert gmail colors....basically white to black. i'm not sure if it was before or after i did that but i created a backup in case it screwed something up and i wanted to revert. well, i loaded it and nothing happened so i went to restore my device from the backup i had just created and TWRP told me it was complete/successful or something and gave me the option to reboot. i did and now my phone is stuck in a boot loop. i've tried to restore several times to no avail.
i can get into bootloader menu but normal start up starts the boot loop process again. TWRP loads if i go into recovery. phone isn't recognized by RSD Lite. not sure what to do.
Can anyone help or tell me what additional info you need to be able to help?

So you've tried restoring your nandroid prior to the flash, and still get bootloops, right? Have you tried wiping the caches? You can also try a full wipe and see if that gets you out of the boot loop, and then you can go back and try to restore your nandroid.
If all else fails and you can get into fastboot, there are instructions here on getting back to stock: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images. I would pull my backup from the device first from within TWRP (although if you don't erase userdata it should still be on the phone). You'll have to re-flash TWRP, but that process should get you back to having a working phone.
there might also be a problem with the fact that oyu were running 4.2.2 and using twrp that was built for 4.4. there is a twrp that was built for 4.2.2 so i don't know why you used the one built for 4.4. don't know what the differences are if any that would affect running twrp 4.4 on a 4.2.2 firmware but there may be some major issues.
You could try manually deleting everything with fastboot, then boot into recovery to restore your backup before flashing the 4.2.2 TWRP.
Thanks for the help. I thought I edited my post to say I fixed the problem. Did that with a wipe from the twrp bootloader our whatever that screen is called when you not into recovery.
Thanks

I am curious as to why you downgraded back to 4.2.2?
Mainly for FoxFi WiFi. I use it on road trips for my kid's iPad and Nabi.

If you have an unlocked bootloader, why not use one of the available mods with 4.4?
First I guess would be because I didn't know about it. I wasn't really planning on unlocking and rooting to begin with.
I got the DE because at the time I needed a phone it was the only x I could get with 32GB.
Which mood are you talking about I might have to check it out

There's a flashable zip in this thread.

It's for 4.4 not 4.2 though, don't flash it unless you update.

Hello,
Does anyone have a clue on how we can Install a custom recovery on the G Flex D958? I've tried several solutions like Flashify and manually running commands through Terminal Emulator and once it supposed to be installed, it restart and then jump right into the launcher, and it's impossible to access to the recovery, assuming the recovery was actually never installed.
The Flex doesn't have a custom recovery yet. I would be careful on messing with your phone without it.
Weird...

Developers
Where are all the LG Developers? No love for the Flex? Its a powerful device that screams feed me! I want some custom ROMs.
Theres plenty of lg dev working on it. Its just with the bootloader being locked down better than ever we are having a little trouble finding a hack or work around. Ive got an apk that will install cwm. Ive posted pics and used it. It works. I actually had to use the backup I made ,as soon as I got into cwm, today to restore due to my home button quit responding. Why? I dont know that yet but it restored perfect. Cache and dalvik wipe fine. Only issue is you can't boot to cwm from power off position. Must use apk. So its kinda pointless unless you can boot safe mode. Like I did today. We havent posted the apk or intstructions due to not finished yet and it deletes your factory recovery. So youre f*$&#d if you brick due to no factory recovery. And we dont want peep rushing in and installing then boom theyre dead and hoise burns down.

You need to make sure your boot stack and radios are appropriate for the rom you want to flash. The G2 ROM scene is a bit fractured, since CM11 and a good chunk of derivative ROMs are still based on the 12B (4.2) OTA, but some devs are now working with the 24A (4.4) OTA.
If you can get into the bootloader/fastboot, you may be able to flash the appropriate boot stack and recovery from there, if you know what you're doing. The "cleaner" route would be to use TOT or KDZ to get back to stock, and start from scratch.

Did you make a backup of the rom, prior to installing the new Rom?

If you can't get into recovery, and only download mode, I'd probably go ahead and return to complete stock. The nice thing about this phone is it is easily rooted and rommed again if you want to do that. Plus you'll learn a lot in the process. My two cents.
Edit: When you return to stock, take the Ota to 4.4.2, then root.

Hello I searched and couldn't find an answer basically I rooted my note 3 with root towel and safe strap unfortunately i didn't back up or back anything up was kinda drunk lol so at this point I can't seem to flash anything I see the galaxy note 3 on the booting then the safe strap shows up and it is giving me two options recovery or continue ... If I hit continue nothing happens ...black screen now if I hit recovery I'll be in safe strap recovery but can't see to flash any NC2 rom anyway at ths point I rather like to go back to stock ncu and start over any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Hello no one here can help? Please!!!
I am having the almost same problem a you, with the exception that I can still use my phone right now. But I can't install any other rom or even use my backup that I made in recovery. They just keep failing. I can give you a copy of my backup that I made maybe that will help you. Just pm me if you want it OK.

I ran into a similar issue. I messed up and learned the hard way to make sure and run a backup before messing with my phone. In my case, I make sure to run Nandriod backup and make a full backup to my external sdcard.
As a suggestion, you can always restore to MLG using the n900aucumlg one click (by designgears) 4.4.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2619941
You can then simply update the modem using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698464
Did you install busybox. The order to do all that was 1. Towelroot. 2. Install busybox. 3. Install safestrap. If nothing is happening I would suggest to boot into stock recovery via power, home, volume up (or down I forget which one it is) and just factory reset like that. It should erase everything and start you fresh

FYI, I would also check out the source from where you are loading your ROMs. Since I swapped over to a different SD card, my installation problems have been cleared up.
Hey guys. I've been having some problems with my Moto X by Sprint for a while now. I was running aospa beta 2 and I noticed every time I booted up my phone it reset itself. I shook it off and just restored my stock backup. When I did that, I couldn't do anything because of a constant phone Force Close. Then I went back into recovery (TWRP) and I looked through my downloads and I had an old nightly of CyanogenMod and some gapps. So I flashed those and my phone booted up just fine. But I can't flash any other ROM at all without getting insane errors. And now I noticed whenever I flash something in recovery I get errors. I'm going to post a picture of them and if anyone can help me fix my Moto X problems I'd greatly appreciate it CyanogenMod is not my most favorite ROM of all time. And in General I'd like a fully functional working phone. Thanks!

It appears your filesystem may be corrupt. I suggest following the "Return to Stock" thread to flash the full stock SBF for your carrier (the last version you were on - be absolutely sure not to attempt to downgrade). This will return you to 100% stock - but it will erase -everything- (including your internal memory). So back-up anything important, first (if you even can...).
SBFing back to stock can actually repair a corrupt/damaged filesystem. You are obviously unlocked, so afterwards you can simply flash back TWRP and then flash the rom of your choice. I suggest a fresh download, though, since it would appear you have corruption issues...
Good Luck! Update us as to success.
Alright will do thank you
