Hey,
Cannot get a specific fix in mind. Just a few preliminary suggestions..;
** Try removing thumbnails & cache files of gallery application. (It should be somewhere in Sdcard/android/... sub folders)
** Try clearing data of gallery application.
** Try also clearing cache & dalvik cache at last.

I've tried CM7, HoneyComb v4 eMMC-2nd Edition, NookieFroyo 0.68.3, PhireMod v4 - WTF!?
I've downloaded .apk's, etc. NOTHING! What the hell is it going to take to get YouTube working?
I'm running Nookie-FroYo 0.68.3 and has no problem with YouTube app or website.

If I use that ROM, I can't install YouTube from the Market. It just says "installation was unsuccessfull".
Fix your Market first:
1. Clear data in Google Services Framework then force stop.
2. Clear cache in Market then force stop.
3. Fix permissions using ROM Manager.
4. Reboot into recovery using ROM Manager and clear cache.
5. Reboot.
Hopefully that would fix your market app and let you download YouTube.
If you cannot fix the market, think about using Aptoide or Aptor apk, which are market alternatives, you can find some un-official apps there.

YOU CRAFTY BASTARD!! Why haven't I seen this somewhere else? I've been pulling my hair out for DAYS! Trying every ROM, waiting up nights for CM7 nightlies - to no avail!
It installs and works fine now that I've done this. If I wasn't straight, I'd kiss you!
This has been happening for awhile and I know it happens to others. I believe it only happens when my phone is rooted (always happened if I kept my sdcard in while rooting).
Ive running offical froyo 2.2 rooted. Basically all my photos and videos (external sd) thumbnails become duplicated or even more. Theres still only 1 real image but gallery will display x3x4x5 of the same thumbnail. Does anyone know a permanent fix to this? Only way I've been able to resolve it is by deleting the thumbnail folders via my pc.
go to
settings
applications
manage applications, then touch "All" at the top of page.
scroll to Media storage and touch it
clear data and force close (clear cache may help too but I never had to do cache for this fix to work)
then reboot.
It should solve the problem.
or install SGS TOOLS from the market and apply the script ^clear_thumb_db.txt^
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Not work for me
Ressurection remix 2.1 on SGS2,when setup mms configuration and send mms, images duplicate in gallery ,cear data ,force close and reboot but problem not solved.
Any other solution?
PS. sorry for my bad english and thanks for answer

Hi tony i think that this market here will work for you like a charm , its the old market but trust me it runs smooth , look how you do it : First replace the market i gave you with the other make sure that you are not connected in wi-fi then go to titanium back up and freeze Market Apps Installer 1.1 and Market Updater 1.0.Reboot and tell me if it worked mate..If you cant see your apps at the market apps section install a random app from market and then they will appear.
After dalvik cache clearing, every time i boot, it shows upgrading android, starting applications. How to skip it?
And i can't turn off wifi. It stars automatically, right after turning off. Please help to fix it.
Can't even turn on usb debug.
Edit: hell problem fixes after rebooting with earlier sim. Why this happened?

You can't skip that. It's the dalvik cache being rebuilt...
The dalvik cache is an extend file for the apk (*.dex) it is located in (/data/dalvik-cache) ,, this is for user apps . In system (/system/app) in (*.odex) these files must be deleted when install a new rom ,, these files is needed to run the apps and it is greated in reboot prosses So when you delete them it must be greated again in order to run apps .

Go into Settings > Apps > scroll to All find HTC Gallery and clear cache and/or data. Reboot phone and see if it works.
If not, go to Play Store and uninstall HTC Gallery and then install.
