I don't have a mini but on the One M7 when you create a folder you can add more than four apps to the folder. However, only four apps show when compressed. When you touch the folder, then all the apps show in the folder.

That's the same with with mini but you cannot see all what's in the folder without touching the icon, I would like to see what's inside to save me keep searching. My mates s5 has nine preview icons

Folders in touchwiz's application panels

Is it possible to have folders in the applications part of the touchwiz? I have already filled 8 screens with silly apps and I have difficulties finding what I want. (And I do not want to put stuff in my home screens).
Is this fixed in other roms?
I could not find any way to create a folder in the application launcher, I could of course on the home screen, so that is my best solution to the problem.
But I would like to see one being able to do what you prupose.
I run the JFB firmware.

Thanks. Btw, I understand that the JFB = JF12 version. Have you seen any (substantial) differences between this and JF3?
thanks
Touchwiz 4 and newer allows you to make folders within the apps drawer

[Q] Folders for organization?

Hi all,
Is it possible to make Folders on the home screen to place apps in for organization? I Know HTC Phones allow this, but I've never used a Samsung Android powered device.
Any advice would be great as I would love to organize my games and tools.
Thanks!
https://market.android.com/search?q=app+organizer&so=1&c=apps
those are collection of apps that can do so ... the market is full of this kinda of applications , also , if you use any launcher instead of our stock launcher lets say ADW . got this ability , but you can't put it in folders , but you can place which apps can be showing in the drawer or not to be showing
Thanks much! I will be trying one of these soon! While I'm at it, is there any way of changing the lock screen? I tried Widget Locker but they weren't formatted correctly for a tablet.
there is look screen like the one in Honeycomb , just look in the market for Ripple Lock its nice though , i bought the paid one and its a little bit buggy , but its cool
Trust me, The ONLY app you need to organize your apps into folders is Auto App Organizer.
You can automatically or manually organize all your apps into folders and are also able to create shortcuts to these folders on home screen aswell as change icons of them etc.
Its a [email protected] sweeeeeet app!
SiMi Folders works quite well and is very customisable
Lol, I just realized I'm in the wrong forum. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Thats why when you mentioned the HoneyComb lock screen, I was confused because thats the same screen I already use.
But regardless, all these tips and apps still apply, going to try them.
aww, Simi folder is not supported my the Galaxy Tab 10.1 it says in the market.
LMAO LMAO .. you know if we know that from the beggening , trust me you ain't gonna get SH*T isntead you'll get trolling ...
go go catch your tab10.1 section rofl
It was an honest mistake though, the forum names are really similar. And plus, I found 3rd Party Organization apps that i never knew existed via the market, so I'm very Greatful.
Thanks again all, not at all trying to troll.
no prob , have a visit from time to time you'll see stuff , you can't see it anywhere

Looking for Beautiful Widget skin

On my OG droid I have Cyanogenglass as my clock skin. I don't see that on the downloadable list with my TB. Is there a way I can take it off and load it or does anyone have a copy? I really miss having it.

I just took a screenshot with my thunderbolt. it's attached
and yes, it was really hot in New Jersey today lol
Go to your SD card then go to the data folder and there's a beautiful widgets folder in there, there will be 3 or 4 sub folders, I'm not sure which folder holds the clocks but it'll be easy for you to figure out once you look at them. Make sure you go to the data folder and not the .data folder

You know, I tried that to no avail. It is listed as Cyanogenglass as the folder but the phone just doesnt see it as an option. Ugh!

odd find ?

So I'm sitting home bored today and i was just browsing through some of the folders in my file explorer ( FX file explorer w/root add-on). I was in the root system folder when I noticed a folder called recent_images. I opened it and its basically a collection of screen shots ( see pics below) of my last 24-48 hours of use. Another folder I found called recent_tasks had a list of every single thing I've done with the phone for the last two days Call me paranoid but I can't remember seeing these folders there before. Can someone with root check and see if they have them too? The path is ROOT/DATA/SYSTEM. Please and Thank you. What purpose do they servwe if they are normal why is it nessacary to keep a running dialog of screen shots and everything I've done on my phone for the last 2 days ?
Below are examples of what the folders contain.. is this normal ?
I just checked my stock ROM rooted/unlocked phone and see the same folders and activity... interesting.
I wonder if these are part of the "Verizon Support" app... maybe they use it to help you when you are having issues, so they can see what you did to cause it or something? As you can see, I'm giving this folder the benefit of the doubt... as it is concerning otherwise. Subscribed!
I hate to admit it but I thought they were part of some monitoring software. I'm actually relieved that someone else has them too...thanks
It's probably just the images used for the recents menu?
Sent from my DROID Turbo using XDA-Developers mobile app
I only had two images, and gallery couldn't open either one. I only had three tasks.

I agree with this, I had a few tasks and images in those folders, deleted all apps from the recents menu, and then only had a couple new ones in each.

Request: Multiwindow Files

Tab S 10.1 owner here, was recently playing around with a friends S2 and wanted to test the Multiwindow features from the S2 on the Tab S. I'd like to know if someone could provide me the following files:
Com.sec.feature.multiwindow.freestylelaunch.xml
Com.sec.feature.multiwindow.quadview.xml
Com.sec.feature.multiwindow.scaleapp.xml
Default location on Tab S:
System/etc/permissions
As well as any other .multiwindow files you could find. The second file might possibly have another name as I think the Tab s2 can have 5 apps open.
Thanks!
Still looking for these files, if anyone would be so kind as to provide me them. Thanks again!
I pulled these out of lightning rom, so I don't know if they've been modded. It's all the multiwindow files i found in that location.

Testing it now. Thanks!
Only change so far are the icons, from round to squared, with clear distinction of the round icons in the background and squared on top. I even deleted all traces of the multiwindow files from the etc/permissions and flashed only the S2 files provided above.
I may possibly need the multiwindow.jar located in (/system/framework/) and MultiWindowTrayService Folder found in /system/app to unlock the 5 pop-up window feature found in S2 firmware.
