I'm trying to transfer pictures from my iPhone to nook hd running cm 10.2. I connected the phone using a usb gender changer and USBHost Switch with TPUSBMount to fix power issues. after connecting I tapped trust computer on the iPhone but can't find where to access the iPhone system on the nook in file manager. Also Bluetooth won't connect. Anyone have experiance with this?

This by far one of the toughest phones I've had. I can't use the dock to sync as it only gives it power and local Bluetooth audio.
Ok, I tried connecting to the USB cable directly. Nope, I have tried many time to copy files to the SD card. I can mount it but it will only stay connected for a short time. It's seems as soon as any other application tries to read it the phone dismounts the SD card. I can tell it to mount again but then whatever program I'm using crashes because the SD card has disappeared in the middle of a file transfer. Anyway...
So, now I try Bluetooth to the PC. Nope, the PC and the Nexus One can see each other but if I try to pair from either the PC or the phone they fail to pair. The computer pairs with a keyboard, mouse, HTC Cruise (just did it for the first time and went like clockwork) and a Plantronics head set. The Nexus One has paired with the Plantronics head set. With the HTC Cruise it asks for a pass code on the phone and the PC but the Nexus just fails without asking for anything. I have also set it as discoverable.
Help!
Edit I disconnected and unpaired the Plantronics headset and then was able to pair with the PC. The android Bluetooth implementation seems to be a little buggy. I was then able to re-pair the Plantronics headset.
The is no android desktop "sync" most of your phone data is kept in the cloud by default, so it's much less relevant. If you want to copy data to your sdcard, you install the usb driver, plug in your phone and select "Select to copy files to/from your computer" from the notification area.
However the current drivers seem unreliable in win7, we're not sure if win7 or the drivers are to blame.
As an aside if you install "ES File explorer" from the android marked you can access windows file shares via wifi.
There are _no_ bluetooth profiles for file transfer in default android.
I still think there are a lot of people that like to sync MP3s and pictures to their phone with various apps. When data plans are free and way faster than they are now, maybe I'd say that the really fast free connection to my PC is less relevant.
What is the best way to sync MP3s from the PC? ES File Explorer?
I'm running CM7 stable 7.0.3 off an SD card. I would like to put videos on my NC, but the only way I know how is to shut down, remove the card, reboot back to stock, hook my NC up to my computer, and load the video into the video folder in My Files.
Is there an easier way to get videos into my Nook?
Thanks.
Why can't you just plug the USB cable/charger cable into your computer and click on the "mount USB" option? You won't be able to use the programs and stuff, but it should mount, right?
If not that, you can download a program called "Samba Network File Share" that will allow you to connect to it over a wireless network. I've used this before, but it is painfully slow. Took about 10 minutes to move a 500mb video file.
Another option I like and use a lot is SwiFTP, free in the market:
https://market.android.com/details?id=org.swiftp
Fire it up and use any FTP client software on your computer. Transfer speeds are a bit slower than USB but not bad. Don't forget to turn off the FTP server when you are finished!
I have no idea what OS your computer is running, but my preferred option is using scp on the command line.
Just plug your Nook into your PC and in the Notifications should be "USB Connected". Just tap that and you should have a USB Mount option.
If that doesn't work here's an App someone on XDA made for the Nook. Use it to Mount the Nook's "Media" partition and the SD's 4th partition.

What's the easiest way to file transfer from PC to NC cm7 using bt?
using Bluetooth File Transfer and is so slow
Why not just use the USB cable or a wifi transfer app? Bluetooth on the Nook was never meant to be used

unfortunately my usb is not working

We use switch at the office and no wifi router or ap, got bt though. I use wifi router at home.
Anybody could direct to to easy wifi adhoc connection?
You can use myphone explorer to transfer files via wlan(and tons of more stuff) to your pc.
On another note, have anybody had problems receiving files but not sending?
For some reason I can send files to a phone, but I can't receive files from that phone over BT.
If there was no wifi in your working area, then BT is the only choice besides USB.
I had a mess trying to get BT file transfer working, ended up using adbWireless to push/pull the files I wanted.
Try File Expert from the Market. It's free and supports HTTP, FTP, SMB(Windows Network Share), and BT file transfer methods. Alternatively if booting from Internal Mem on Nook, copy files to MicroSD and the put MicroSD into Nook, if Booting from MicroSD, then insert MicroSD into Computer running Linux and copy files to Forth Partition(Should be the Biggest).

Drop box is also worth looking into, though like other suggestions it requires wifi.

For < $10 you can get usb wifi directly from your pc. Makes more sense imo -> http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref...words=usb+wifi+adapter&ie=UTF8&qid=1418427139
I tested easytether app and it will not see my nook hd+ with cm11 m12 whereas adb does see the device and works too. With my phone, easytether found that right away. So I would think something is disabled in the kernel, but could be wrong despite the fact that tethering is obviously missing from android settings and that means something.
Finally I've managed usb tethering via nook hd
I used PDAnet+ app on both pc and nook hd. It installed ADB drivers and with simple setup I was able to share internet connection.
Hello,
I've successfully managed to install and am running Android 7.1.2 using ua_ovation-7.1.2-20181227-1654 on my NOOK HD+, and it's running great. No issues with WiFi connections or lagging, or many other issues expressed by others here. However, I've been unable to use MTP USB configuration in order to transfer files to their respective folders in the tablet, and I haven't found any postings regarding this issue.
I would like to transfer audio and video files, as well as documents into their proper respective folders, however, when I select "MTP" in "Select USB Configuration", you here the disconnect sound from the PC and the tablet is not accessible. However, it does connect and I am able to transfer any file to the tablet when I select "PTP", but the caviot is in the fact that the only folders which can be accessed are the "DCIM" and "Pictures".
Is there a way to fix this issue?
Your help is much appreciated.

No answer, but this will support your issue and hopefully help derive some assistance. I also am running A 7.1.2 under LineageOS version 14.1-20171216_unofficial-ovation. I have (precisely as you described) the same issues. All was well until I finally updated my Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 after the first major upgrade last Fall. The problem only arose with W11 as all was well with W10. Since the HD+ 8.9 inch screen continues to be the "Goldilocks" of useful "reading" screen sizes, I would like to continue using it. Any thought or help would be greatly appreciated.
