After rooting my phone yesterday I got a little delete happy and deleted a volume warning file with titanium backup. I'm certain it's the file that would drop the volume then display the damage hearing warning. Is there a way to just reinstall that particular file? Where can I get it? Where do I put it? Thanks to anyone who has the explanation. If not I'll just reinstall the OS and re-root.
Phone: Xperia LT30P
OS: 4.1.2
edit: I figured it out. Just restored the file through root explorer. MODS CAN DETETE POST.
Hi!
I have severe problems with using Bluetooth on Android 4.3 (both .290 and .136) as I cannot get the handsfree system on my car audio to work on anything other than .257 (4.2.2) and I wondered if I rooted my phone (its currently on 4.2.2, .257) could I then copy the Bluetooth files from .257 to either .290 or .136 ? and therefore, hopefully get the Bluetooth working properly....
I have tried to use the baseband from .257 on a .290 rom (by flashing it with FlashTool) but this did not appear to work..
Any help and advice will be very appreciated!
Regards,
Alan
Correct me if I'm wrong. So your bluetooth "won't work" if you root your phone? Or...?

No, the bluetooth doesn't work properly on 4.3 in that I cannot use it with my car audio system using handsfree.. It works fine on 4.2.2.. So I was wondering that if I rooted the phone on 4.3. (290 or 136) I could copy or install the bluetooth stack from 4.2.2 (257) and get it to work like it does with the 4.2.2 (257/ rom...
Is there a way to increase the volume steps without installing xposed? I’m rooted and unlocked but I’d hate to install xposed primarily just for this.

I’m running stock…
Hi all,
I am just wondering if anyone has come across this issue.
I recently updated my old Z1 to Lollipop (completely stock, no root or anything). I wiped the whole lot and flashed the Lollipop ftf. It's currently running the UK 14.6.A.0.368 firmware. Haven't updated it yet to the 216 firmware.
When I call this phone from any other, I can hear my daughter (whom I gave the phone to) but her voice warbles like she's talking underwater.
It is really strange because I had the exact same problem when I updated my wife's Z1 Compact to Lollipop too.
Both devices have locked bootloaders, no root, just clean wipe and flashed Lollipop ftf.
In the end I flashed KitKat back on the Z1C but my daughter really prefers LP over KK.
Any thoughts on this?
So my father can't hear so well during calls he has (NOT ON HANDSFREE MODE) from time to time...
I would like to know if there is anyway to raise the volume during the calls on the speaker - which is for the ear (-Not "Speaker mode\HANDSFREE")
Thanks.
Guide to boost audio! - involves editing the mixer_paths.xml
Some custom kernels allow to raise the audio levels. Using Kernel Adiutor-Mod (my preference) or probably normal kernel adiutor from the play store go to the "Sound" section and you could boost it. Not sure if stock kernel supports or not.
Also you could flash A.R.I.S.E. audio or V4A and they allow the volume to be increased.
So there are a couple different options, not sure which would be the best. Good luck!

Thanks a lot!
The major problem is the rom. The current ROM is the official one (Marshmallow atm'), not rooted and the regular recovery.
Any other option without the need of a different rom/rooting or changing the recovery to TWRP?
thanks!

You might try Phone, Settings, Accessibility, Hearing aids.I don't know exactly what it does, but it might help.

Considering the file that needs to be altered is on the system partition anything you do will require root access. No way around it.

In case I root the phone , how am I gonna raise the volume then?
you can edit the system file that controls volume, you can install viper, you can flash one of several audio mods provided by guitarhero, there are many things you can do...
but until you are rooted, there is nada that can be done to raise the built in volume levels
