[Q] ICS can't block ads

I flash Playground ICS or IceColdSandwich
i use adfree or adaway
but i can't block ads
adaway showed this msg

I think this proxy is automatically populated by your mobile carrier. See if you can delete this without causing any issues. Note that if you change these addresses SMS or any similar mobile features may not work as expected.

Just use Adfree, it edit the hosts file. Works very well on all my devices.

Removing the proxy setting shouldn't have any negative effect. SMS/MMS are handled via separate fields in the APN setting

Read what the message says and follow those instructions.
Attached is pictures of what you need to wipe out. May look slightly different on your phone, as mine is still on gingerbread, because i like the sense UI.
just in case clearing the proxy does break something, write down what is there before you wipe it.

Not sure about adaway, but i must say adfree is the best...
i seem to be using it for ages and never had an issue.
goto market download 'adfree' by i think tin can or something...
install it...
a pop up will come with 2 options, just choose boot normally.
it'll offer to download some new files, let it.
once its finished reboot your device & your phone will be ad free

You can't do nothing, we're stucked with adds...

that sucks. It's weird because adfree was working on GB but now neither adfree nor adway will work on ICS/JB :s

what's the "use custom IP" for in adfree? What if we insert our proxies there, would that make any sense?

How do you know its required? Does your data stop functioning if you remove it?

Same here. Why do people post roms on xda if they're not going to share them with the public? Isn't that against the rules?

For sensors, copy sensors.tass.so from my AOKP to your build ( /system/lib/hw/ )

set ur to public if u wants dev help u..how we can't help u if we cannot download n test ur roms

Hello everyone,I've been using Miui for a 3 month and I love Miui roms
But there's a little thing that I always wanted.Using every single themes on miui roms.
So that day came and I just created a simple application :victory:
Application developed with Visual Basic Express in Windows 8.I'm not expert programmer but I made my best.
Here's a simple screenshoot of application

*"This is not theme apk" error fixed.

Need net framework 4 for use
Simple Usage:
1.Click File>Open>Apk.file for choose apk
2.When read complete edit some description and choose some preview images if you want.
Click application for change icons if you want.
Addding new applications will soon.
3.Click File>Save>Save as theme and that's it.
4.Import theme from theme app in miui
5.Go mix and choose icons
Simple isnt it ?

Notes:
I didnt create an installer for beta versions.All you have to is unrar archive and open .exe file
Do not delete .dll or you cant open application.

I tried opening an apk file and after trying to read it said this is not a theme apk file. It was a Touchwiz cm apk theme file

No,you have to read android theme apk file.Download any icon theme from play store and check that

This is weird because I didnt use net framework 4 library,anyway I'll include exe for install :good:

Edit:Nvm i cannot find any app for do that,so I cannot create a tool myself

it's better to replace " Application and activities list " with real app name, it will be more helpful

because you get activites from appfilter.xml, you can get package name by split componnent info by "/" then you can get name from http://activities.droidicon.com/get-activities.php?q=PACKAGE_NAME and parse json result or playstore market

Here is Touchwiz icons if anyone wants it. Hopefully we will be able to convert whole themes to Miui eventually

1. Before installing the Moto G3 , open the file you downloaded with Winrar (or other unzip ) and delete the "Meta-Inf " folder.
2. After this download this file : MATA-INF.zip
3. And copy the "Meta-Inf " and place it within the downloaded file Bootlogo.
4. Then install normally

links aren't synched perfectly with images(37 & 38th) and this logos are for G2. so, updater-script needs to be modified to use this logos on G3. I'm attaching "META-INF" folder that'll work for G3. just replace the folder with the one in zip.

Give nothing to do as much material without make up . I spend a lot of time to do each Bootlogo , and if I do not win anything up ... Better not do. It is the only way to raise a measly cents.

Why should you feel entitled to money? If that's what you want, make a gallery app and charge for it. This is a site where people come to share things freely, not to make a profit from one another.

good ... I create the Bootlogos , I believe I can share them as I please not you think?. Wait 5 seconds to make a download will not kill anyone.
