Hey , it't nice to meet you guys, I'm a newbie regarding this stuff, please help with this issue:
I got my hands on a white z1, model no L39H, not a new device, and i want to know about it's rom (i think). It is missing some stuff, from what i saw on youtube. On the initial setup (after master reset) it does not ask me about any accounts, and after that i can only introduce them as email services. Then, it has no native google apps, but many that are named with asian symbols. I think it' for that market, or it has a custom rom. Can i install an original or european rom on it?
Also, photos in low light have loads of flash bleed, though I have peeled off the back protector.

You are in the wrong device forum
The Z1 is C6903, if you have a L39H then you have a Z Ultra
Please make sure you know which device you have and then either ask to move this thread to the Z Ultra section or if not we can give you some help

Either or, we need to know which device you have before we can help
According to Wikipedia, the L39h and the non-LTE C6902 could be the same (in terms of hardware).
You could open the service menu by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* and report what it says under service info -> software info -> type number. Or pull out the label from under the SIM tray.

I have read somewhere on some site or other.. a funky piece of software that once you install it.. it sits silent on your phone.. until someone sticks in a different sim.. then it starts sending a pre-defined number (yours) a text from your theives sim.. and even telling you GPS location... blah blah.. and if you want.. you can send a special text back to it.. and it will disable / delete your phonebook / wipe all your info... etc etc

I am moving this thread to the regular Kaiser forum as it is not related to development matters. (For upgrading read development ie ROM cooking and other software development.) In this particular case, I could also have chosen the General Forum as such tracking software could apply to any phone with built in GPS.

I don't see the GPS tracking function that you stated you were looking for in the first post in that program you linked. Its also been about a year since they updated it. I'd be concerned how long its going to be supported.
I'm performing some thread necromancy on this sucker to highlight a couple pieces of Windows Mobile security software I remembered from my Palm Treo days with the capability to actively prevent data theft by remote password lockout and remote wipe of data. Worth adding to the list, as the two or three mentioned above and on the Wiki do not appear to be in development any longer.
This article does a nice job of laying out features (though written in a Palm-specific manner, these apps have Windows Mobile versions now).

I’ve just recently bought a new Kaiser of ebay, it is sim unlocked and is not branded by any network on the phone itself. On the home page, the bottom two buttons are contacts and planet 3. I want to remove planet 3 and replace it with “calendar” like normal Kaisers have. Also on start up, after the smart mobility display and before the “windows mobile” display appears, it show a white background with the green 3.I would like to remove this too if possible. Is there anyway of removing/replacing these with something else? And can someone give me the steps of doing so. Thanks in advance.
Does your kaiser have the front camera? If so, would you want to trade for an AT&T Tilt branded kaiser, that is sim unlocked as well?

Yes it does. However I do not wish to swap. I am happy with it, I just would be happier if someone could please help me remove the planet 3 and network 3 start-up symbol from the phone. It would be much appreciated if someone can point me in the right direction please. Thanks

Thank you. When I open windows-startup it shows three files none of them are a file called "shortcuts". The three files are btdwake.ink, poutlook.ink, sddaemon.ink?

The one after animation is \Windows\welcomehead.96.png - remove it (replace it).
Better way is to do a hardreset and the best way is to flash original HTC ship ROM from their site or, if you want to experiment, try Kaiser ROM development section.

thanks you. i still cannot find a file named "welcomehead.96.png" iv'e looked through the entire "windows" file for it and used the search option. If i do a hardreset will i loose things on my mobile's storage and same if i flash it? would i have to re-unlock my mobile to except any sim or wouldnt it do anything to the sim unlock if i hardreset/flashed it?
When HR-ing or flashing, you usually lost everything on the ROM, storage card (miniSD) is left untouched. For unlocking you should see Kaiser ROM development section, where in stickied thread, is everything explained or linked to explanation. The only exception for deleting data is flashing original ROMs - they shouldn't disappear - shouldn't => but might.
If you can't see the file, just drop there your own . It was probably already flashed via someone before you, maybe you have already HardSPL-ed your device?

I tried a hard reset, however it did not remove the 3 symbol or planet 3. Can someone give me a direct link to download the original HTC ship ROM please? the phone is currently running with 6.1 Professional I would like this to remain the same if possible. Thanks

I have managed to find a program that has fixed the planet 3 problem. it's called soft key manager and it can be downloaded here if anyone else needs it :

it replaces the soft key shortcuts with other things/programs and it's just what i needed .
now it's just the network 3 start up symbol i want to remove. Has anyone else got any ideas on how to remove this on start-up?
hello guys, im kind of new to android and smartphones generally and i have a problem.
whenever i try to play songs on soundcloud on 3g it says "unable to playback track" but it works on wifi, i thought formatting or new software would fix the problem but i was wondering if i can fix it without formatting or so on. i have sony xperia z3 dual if any1 would help me i would be very grateful.

Use the search bar at the top of the Page.. Where it says "Type to find device..." type your device name in, and it will give you a list of forums that match. I recently bought a second hand Galaxy Note 5 (920T). I had troublewith some apps, and discovered that it was rooted (I'm a total noob on this subject) with the Phone Info App. While checking my device with it it stated that the phone was a copy because its serial number does not match its manufacture date. Yet it doesn't seem to be a fake one, like those on youtube: The rear camera is genuine, the S pen and its options are the exact same. The only discrepancies I can see are that the software IMEI/ the IMEI on the back are not the same but both are valid. It is also a Brazilian phone (ZTO) yet it seems to be from T-Mobile so firmwares are for the U.S region. (I don't know if T-Mobile is on the Brazilian market since I live in France and it's an export)
Could someone help me ?

SOLVED: I switched the app language from french to english. It turned out to be a translation error: Refurbished is translated as "une copie" which means a replica, a fake product.

Hope you good here's one secret code for samsung to check if its orignal type *#0*# in dial pad you will see many options to check your device if that code works your phone is ok if it doesn't then it could be a fake one and to exit the menu simply tap back key twice....
