It doesn't boot??
& you say every time I install recovery??
Didn't get your problem.
Please elaborate
I got your problem ! Hoping that you meant to say that you aren't able to boot into recovery after flashing cwm, I say, just flash stock via odin, place the cwm 5.0.2.6 file on your sd, reboot into stock recovery, choose install update from sd, browse & flash cwm.zip & reboot. You must be able to get the cwm recovery the next time you try to boot into recovery...

Try another recovery or download that recovery again... Might be that file is corrupted.

Install stock recovery again and try installing CWM again.
You can find stock recovery thread in Android Development section of SGA
Yep I did that. But evry time I install cwm 5.0.2.6 recovery I have to odin flash it because I can never go back into recovery again. Although cwm 6.0.0.1 or Cwm 6 I forgot what it is, works on my phone.

You got 2 options:
1. reflash firmware, install recovery, restore backup.
2. Needs UB: flash kernel with built-in recovery. Good luck
Btw, check md5 sum really can take a long time. Just let it run.

So, I successfully flashed CWM via Odin but when I entered recovery mode, I was taken to stock recovery. What could be the problem?

So you didn't successfully flash CWM... or you reflashed CWM recovery with stock recovery.

I guess not. It did say "PASS", though... I'll try it again and see what happens.
I reflashed CWM successfully... I powered down the phone, rebooted in recovery mode and, again, found myself in stock recovery. What gives!?
Are you sure that you are really flashing CWM and have correct version for your phone? If in both cases is answer yes, I'm out of ideas.
Yep... I'm using this guide. http://techbeasts.com/2013/10/24/install-cwm-recovery-and-root-samsung-galaxy-s3-mini-i8190nl-how-to-guide/
Hmmmm...
EDIT: It appears it's identical to this guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147852 so I don't know what the problem could be.

CWM : this version don't support Touch control. So you have to navigate with vol up/down in the menus
CWM Touch : how the name already say, it support Touch control, it means you don't need to navigate with vol up/down and it also support "create zip image" this does backup your system as a flashable .zip.

Thanks, xXPR0T0TYPEXx... I should have known that's what it meant!
I tried different versions of Odin and the touch CWM and for the first time received a "FAIL"... I'm going to try to use another computer and see if I have any success.
Also: I know I should probably search this (and I will) but just in case I can't get anything to work>>>> Is there another way to root this phone WITHOUT the use of CWM? or is this the only way? Thanks, again!
And just so I can confirm how to properly boot into CWM:
I power down the phone and press VOLUME UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER, correct?
This is the method of how to boot into stock recovery but, as I understand it, if CWM is properly flashed it should take me to Clockworkmod INSTEAD of stock recovery. Am I correct?

Yes you are correct! And yes there is a other way to get root access. Have a look here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459910 !
Tip : if you use this way don't foget to enable usb debugging.

You can solve it fashing again the recovery via ODIN, I made it many times and ever this problem was solved. the cause of this problem is the recovery rebooter.
Hmm..
Instead I found a solution into CWM's Recovery thread. Go there and see into last pages, there is a zip of CWM 6.0.3.3! Flash it by CWM and problem sloved!
