Screen turns white after lock

i have a strange issue and its making me nuts..
My phone (GT-N7000) only seems to run on samsung kernels or something..
Case1:
I flashed SpeedMod kernel and it boots up and everything seems fine and works as expected, but when the screen locks and I try to unlock then my phone dont work anymore.
My screen will start getting white dots and it get more and more white dots until the screen is filled with white dots... My phone is unusable and shows no reaction when that happens, I have to pull the battery or hold the powerbutton long to reboot.. This problem stays after every reboot, and it happens on every screen lock.
Case2:
I flashed CM9, same issue as with the speedmod kernel..
I tryied reflashing a ton of times, but i am clueless.. I am not able to use custom roms..
I hope I dont have any faulty hardware or newer Revision that wont work.?
Is anyone else having this issue?

Exactly the same problem here !
Just flashed my wife's new phone with darky rom and got this bug.
Did you solved your issue ?

* The phone seems to respond in the background. I've been able to take same screenshots, and the image show "what should have been on the screen"

Found something interesting there
The phones turns off after 10 secs, and even after 10 mins, most of time, the same problem will occur : a black screen with only one pixel will appear, (red color one, then, 2, and more).
I have changed the kernel, tried another one, and the problem is gone.
Then, which kernel would be best used for that rom?

Flashed new kernel: AbyssNote -> OK
Also tested another version of franco.Kernel with no luck

I have the exact same problem!
Why is this not a common problem experienced by everyone using custom rom/kernel?

[Q] Light JB screen off question

I'm currently using cocore 6.2 and Light JB.
I'm very happy and satisfy with the rom but there's one small problem that I've never faced before in any other rom.
When I am surfing the internet, or reading anything, if I didn't touch the screen for 15 seconds, it will turn off itself which is normal.
What I usually do when it turn off I will press the home button immediately and here comes the problem. In any other rom, when I press the home button immediately after the screen automatically turned off, the screen will turn on and back to the screen that i was reading (internet, picture etc.). But while I am using Light JB, when I press the home button, my phone screen will turn on but it will jump back to the homescreen instead of the browser or picture I was reading.
Does anyone face the same problem as me?
I want to know if it's the rom's problem or my rom installation didn't go well.
If it's the rom's problem then I'll just bear with it but if its only me facing this problem I will consider re install the rom.

Stock rom acts the same ... Pressing power button wakes up the device without going to home screen.

yup, stock rom and all other custom rom (jelly mod,chucky,etc) i used do the same
only light jb will back to homescreen

[Q] Black screen after lock

I've had my Nexus One for some time now, and i'm having a problem with it. Whenever i turn it on (sometimes i have to try more than once because it just stays black) it works ok, but when i lock it and try to unlock it (with the power button) the screen stays black. The action buttons at the bottom of the screen turn on but the screen stays black. I have CM 7.2 and i just flashed it and formatted all the partitions i could think of and it's still doing this.
If i call the phone after locking it, it will ring and the trackball flashes but the screen stays black.
Any help?
When the phone is on everything works fine.
P.S. I've searched the forums and found a few threads but none offer a good answer.
EDIT: If i leave it for like an hour or so i can turn the screen back on with the power button, but only once.

i have the same problem, am using the stock rom .. it happens after ending a phone call the screen stays black and i have to restart the device

I have an HTC sensation XL, black screen, stock Rom, not rooted, when I press power button on its vibrating, but the screen is black, capacitive buttons light up and that's it. Can anyone help?
I have read somewhere that it can be repaired by flashing stock Rom, but I don't know how to since nothing can be seen on the screen.
I have also tried to reset the unit but did not see the 3 android robot below the screen, so I can't do a factory reset.

If you want to factory reset power on
When you feel that is on pressing the volume up and power bottom seam time 10s then pressing volume down it will go to bootloader then see any photo of XL bootloader and go to factory reset by volume down as the you see in photo press power Done
I did that but not working with me I did factory reset but screen still black

vanishes after putting it off and on (soft-on and off) several times, dependent on power button push, so software problem
