Dear all,
Is there a chance one could add an additional touch panel via USB (eg ebay item 170879442843),
there seems to be open source drivers for this touch panel controller available (apparently it uses usbtouchscreen.ko), but maybe some patching of the source code (like disabling multi-touch) would be necessary .. could you please advice if one can compile the kernel and the driver with some of the custom roms available here? I could perhaps do it myself if there is a how-to, but in general do you think it would it be possible to get it working? it can replace the native touch screen if it makes any difference...
the reason is I would like to attach this touch panel over my built-in LCD screen in my car, and use the Tab as a car pc basically, or am I dreaming....
many thanks!!!
Waldemar

First of all, this should be in the General Section.
To answer your question, I do not think it will be an easy task as iirc SVHD is sense based, and they have implemented their own settings to keep it on.
If using AOSP, you can use AndyYan's Backlight MOD, with no problems.
Sent from my Nexus 5
I've used Trickster Mod but it does'nt works fine ( backlight turns on when I rotate my Htc ). At least I can watch movies without backlight buttons
This app has ability to lock on or off button backlight, look in the settings.

Hey there,
I was just looking for some tips for my lollipop (cyanogenmod) and I found smt really interesting like ambient display. Can anyone tell me please how to turn it on? I've the newest version of cyanogenmod 12 from 01.02.2015 and it's still not there.
I recently received updated to Android Nougat via OTA update. I am really impressed with Nougat's Multi-Window app support as it is responsive and handy.
The difficulty arises when Multi-Window is functioning some of my previous Tasker Profiles and Tasks do not operate as intended due to the differences in inputs for multi-window.
Is there a method or variable I could create to check if Multi-Window mode is active? I noticed Tasker now has the Toggle Split Screen Action under Apps, which I could use as a fix when error handling to bring the app back to full screen before running the remainder of my scripts.
I am fairly new to Tasker scripting and appreciate all advice and suggestions.
Hello!
Does anyone know of any alternative to the native Always on display?
The native is very limited and at night it's too illuminated.
Thank you
