my xperia v is rooted and i recently unlocked the bootloader with stock rom.
but today i was prompted by the UPDATE CENTER on my phone that there are some Album, Movies, Sketch and a System Update .210
is it safe to update if my unit is already unlocked bootloader via phone's update center?

Hi everyone,
Today, the 14.1.G.2.257 OTA update was finally available here in France. However, when I try to install it, after a short moment with Budroid and a progress bar that doesn't reach the end, the phone reboots and a message saying the update failed appears.
There is ROM available that suits me, so I want to make this work.
I'm running a stock 14.1.G.1.534 for C6903, rooted with vRoot, and debloated a little. I also have the dual recovery, and my bootloader is still locked.

had the same today was on ee 534 in the uk & had ota update note and fail. so flashed generic uk 534 in flashtool & unticked wipe options except cache then re-rooted with kingo & then got update via ota again & now have 257 with root. onlt takes about 20 minutes. hope this helps

Hi everyone, I just wanna asked if its safe to manually update to 4.4.4 (157) firmware from 4.4.2 with locked Bootloader? Its just because until now my firmware was stuck to 4.4.2 and still no OTA or PC Companion prompt update to 4.4.4. (sigh).. I just want to manually update.
I'm using my Z3C on T-Mo USA which does not officially support the device. How will I be able to obtain Lollipop once it's released? I won't get anything from T-Mo because that will only be for the Z3 and not the Z3C. Will an OTA update be pushed via Sony directly? Thanks in advance.
i think there will have an OTA update,if not,you can flash 5.0 tft through flashtool anyway
There should be an OTA... it's how I got the last update from Sony and I bought an unbranded, unlocked phone from a retailer. Whether it will be pushed or not is another matter. Might have to check for a software update yourself.

Hello, can anyone help for a solution unable to install Sony Xz3 updates? I'm currently on build .618 and would like to update to the latest version as notified from the update center. However, once the download is complete, the update cannot be installed. Device position has installed temp root with Magisk 25.1. Any answer would be very helpful. Thank You
Just repair device with xperia companion. A firmware flashed via newflasher can not update via ota anymore.
