Offer still stands for those who got the non-LTE model which got no SD card slot. However, it must be redeemed within 30 days of the date you started using your phone. Open up Google Drive after you set up you google credentials in the accounts section in settings. Then take the product tour of Google Drive. You'll get the offer afterwards. Hope this helps.

Sorry if this is a severly newbie question, but the G1 was my first trip outside of verizon, and using sim cards.
If I have x2 android phones, ie: dream and nexus 1, is it as simple to go from one phone to the next by swapping the sim cards, and being on my way?
I've googled for a second, and I'm just not finding the right combo of key words
yup, welcome to the world of GSM! Couldn't be easier, just swap the cards and you are good to go. Your account is on the card. (Actually, in the near future I am sure Google will pioneer a better and more efficient way, but as of right now, couldnt be easier! LOL)
Even better with Android, all your info about contacts, calendar, mail and purchased apps are saved on your google account, so if you use the same gmail account on both phones, the new one should synchronize all your info from the other phone.
The only thing that you are going to do manually is to re-download all your apps again, but nothing more...

That much I knew, I just wasn't sure if all the account information was stored directly on the SIM or not.
Thanks for the replies.
Yes it is, but you'll still have to setup on both phones as sim cards only give you the phone capabilities and internet

Hi Guyz,
Perhaps you all know Next2Me for the Windows Mobile 6.x OS. This app was quite successfull (one of the 10 most downloaded apps in the Marketplace) and also here at XDA-Developers, quite many people liked my tiny app. If you don't know it, here is the link to the corresponding thread: http://xda-developers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=619329
So, why am I writing here? Because Next2Me v1.0 has been released in the Marketplace. You can find it here.
Next2Me will be devided into a free and payed version. The free version will show a small ad at the top of the main window. The payed version won't show this. Also the payed version will received new features before the free one and some features will be in the payed version only. But the core element of Next2Me, the local search, will stay free.
But, If you'll buy Next2Me (I am planning to sell it for 99Cent), you will not just get rid of the ad and get some unique features, you will also support me and my dev projects .
Current feature list of Next2Me
o Location based business search using Google Local Search, Yahoo and Wikipedia
o Over 30 key words and a free text search
o Show a map overview with all found businesses
o Show detailed information (address, phone numbers, etc.)
o Let you add the infos to the contact list, forward the contact by E-Mail or SMS or call the found phone number right from Next2Me
o Show your position and the target contact on a map and the route to the target
o Give you a directions to guide you to the target
o Send your own location by SMS or E-Mail (including a link to openstreetmaps with your current location)
So, as you can see, the software is quite envolved by now.
What features will also be implemented:
o Support different local search providers (Bing, Yelp?)
If you are still missing any features, THIS is your chance! Post your feature wish or suggestion in our development thread here, let's discuss about it and perhaps it will be implemented !

Just downloaded and tried this, looks pretty good. There are no local Bing results for my country but the Google results are excellent, so an app like this is essential.
Is it possible for your app to use App Connect to display search results directly from Bing Search? I believe the OpenTable app can do something similar, but OpenTable isn't available for my region so I can't try it out.
Thanks for all the hard work

Thanks for the compliment ..
Next thing I am going to do is to add Bing Local Search and Yelp to the search providers. I'll also release the paid version of Next2Me (79Cent) which will be without the ad but will get a lot of more features in the future.
Thanks for the hint with App Connect! I'll definitly have a look on that!

The app should save all the details of a place when it is added to contacts including Name, Location And Maps. As of now it only saves Phone number.
Rest of things are awesome, much better than what Bing finds. I have done a review at wpxbox.com

Thanks for your reply and thanks for your review ! I am glad to hear people like my app !
Just one thing: Next2Me was initially developed for the WP 7.0 SDK which didn't allow to add more info to a new contact than the phone number. But I already integrated the new SDK, so the next release will save much more data than now (name, address, etc..). But: the location cannot be added to the contact book, unfortunatelly.
If you have any other suggestions, don't hesitate to write me !

How about an Option ?
Hey Thanks for getting this here.
is it possible that you can give an option indirectly so one can select and add ?
I am not a developer so I cannot say much. But if you can just give a copy option so I can paste it to the contact Location detail, it should do the job.

I am going to use the notes field of a contact to save the position data. I know that a contact can have position information, but there is no way set this info using the API, so I will have to use the notes field.
Another thing: Yesterday I implemented the Bing Local Search as a new search provider, so the next release of Next2Me will include it . I already sent it to the certification process, and also Next2Me+, which will be the paid Next2Me. Next2Me+ will be ad free and will get more features and some exclusive features. The common Next2Me will stay for free of course.

Thank you for trying it out! I'm not sure if I'm reading your question correctly, but
1. If you record the track you can export it to your skydrive in GPX format using the app. GPX format is understood by almost every mapping software, including free google earth. You can use google earth to overlay it.
2. Yes, maps are online only.
I believe you understand my question. My question has been solve.Any difference between paid and trial?

My understanding that people on cell phone contracts have an option to have their app purchases added to their provider bill.
I was using my PC yesterday. When. I try and buy one of the apps. Anyway thanks for answering my question.
Sorry to say that it still ask for credit card when I try to purchase apps from the marketplace maybe my country doesn't support other than credit card.
in france only Orange contracts offering to add your marketplace purchases to your monthly bill...seems that credit card is the main thing for microsoft!
would be awesome to have a paypal option but i won't dream...
btw...GPS Calculator PRO worth every penny asked for!! (mainly if you mind all updates brung by kitya)
I even call my TelCo regarding this issue and they said they don't support Windows apps/Google apps billing to our account. It means that I need a credit card.

I hope that in your next update can you apply it running on background so that we can do other things besides running the apps. Just a suggestion.
I have both the XT1053 and XT1058, both running 100% stock, neither can update CloudPrint from the Playstore due to: "Package file was not signed correctly."
Do anyone have this issue. Is it an issue caused by Google side or is it a problem with the Moto X specifically?
Keep trying - I saw that message when trying to setup my girlfriend's X but got it installed in the end. Works fine on both our Xs. I think switching from WiFi to mobile data resolved it for me (or a reboot - all a bit of a blur tbh).
I'm having this problem as well. Can't uninstall without root, so I gave up. I'd also like yo know if there is a way to update.

It's a known issue on Moto X and Moto G, it will be solved with the next OTA update (as stated in the official Motorola support forum)
I too have been having this issue. Kind of annoying.
Also, does anyone know how to setup Cloud Print through your home network? My printer is actually a separate device on my network.

If you're talking about printing to the printer via Cloud Print without the need for a PC on the same network as the printer, the printer must support Cloud Print directly. I have three printers connected to my network as standalone network devices, but only one supports Cloud Print. Network connectivity by itself is not enough.

No, I mean that I can't update the print services app. I kind of figured that I couldn't print if the printer wasn't compatible.

If you have chrome, you can publish any printer configured on your computer as a cloud printer using your Google credentials. I have a USB printer, pdf printer, and about 3 other printer definitions available for cloud print.
Speciality printers are not required, just chrome, Google account, and a running computer.

He said he can't update the app on his phone....
I had the same problem last night. Only way that I got mine to work was by uninstalling the old version with titanium backup, restarting, then reinstalling it on the play store. My wife's Moto X on 4.4 didn't have this problem, I'm on 4.4.2. So maybe it's a 4.4.2 problem?

It's kind of a known issue. It's on Motorola's end not Google's. Someone said it will be fixed in the next update for this phone (i guess 4.4.3???)

Topic. I can't activate Advanced Calling/HD Voice on my line because I'm on a business account and my N6 is not an official vzw device.
My Moto X (1st gen) that I usually put my sim card back into when I need to make vzw account changes hasn't received the VoLTE update yet (so it's not an available option when I go into my account and try to add it). So which phones have? Is there a full list or if anyone can post individual devices it would be much appreciated.
Wouldn't Verizon people be the best to ask?

Nexus 6, S5, Droid Turbo, 6S's, G3 I think that's it.
BTW my brother's got an S5 on a business account and HD calling is turned on so maybe check w/ your phone admin. and see if he can turn it on for you.

Thanks for your help, the problem isn't the business account, it's that the combination of the business account and the non-vzw device (I think). I can't make any changes to the account while I've got my sim card in my N6, so when I need to, I put it back in my Moto X. But...
When I have the sim card in my N6 and go to my VZW business account page > click on my line > go to Add/Remove Features > I have a check box to enable HD Voice. But when I try to add it I get the following error "Please ensure all required features are selected for 555-555-5555." I think this is due to the non-vzw device status. There are only two required sections on the page, and I've selected an option for both of them.
Yet when I have the sim card in my Moto X, the HD Voice check box is no longer there...So I'm hoping if I can get a hold of one of those devices you listed and pop my sim card in, the check box will reappear and I'll be able to add it for my line.
And since I have a business account I can't use this page (http://www.verizonwireless.com/wcms/consumer/advanced-calling.html) to add it like another user suggested, because that one wants me to login to the regular My Verizon service, not the business one...

I'm not sure which part you're referring to working fine. If you mean HD Voice/VoLTE works on the Nexus 6, I agree, I'm not disputing that.
I'm having a problem adding HD Voice to a business line that has a Nexus 6 attached to it.
For consumer VZW accounts, is HD Voice added to the entire account (but only works on the phones that are compatible) or is it added individually per line like with a business account?

right, so either its the combo as you stated before, or someone is giving you bad intel.

Your right, it won't work on a business line. U need a Verizon phone with HD calling to turn it on for that line.

Just to update the thread... I got my hands on a Note 4, popped my sim card in, and *finally* was able to successfully enable HD Voice on my My Verizon Business Account page. Then I had to enable the VoLTE Provision flag, and now I've got a Nexus 6 with VoLTE on my Business account.
On my My Verizon Business Account I had to UNCHECK "Decline HD Voice" under the Other Features section (an option I had never seen before) as well as CHECK "HD Voice" under the Advanced Calling Features section. It seems that for whatever reason with an unrecognized Nexus 6 on a Buisness account the "Decline HD Voice" option is selected, but "invisible"/fails to appear. So every time I tried to enable it I was also declining it and it caused the error I was getting.
