I have just installed Honami Experience v4 with this patch. Everything is working well except video playing with Movies. I have figure out the problem, that was libswiqisettinghelper.so. I have replaced it with the rom's one. And everything is perfect.:victory:

I had lots of random reboots when I used Doomkernel so maybe it is good to use the stock one.

I have flashed the hybrid rom and the patch.
For the short time everything seemed to be fine but afterwards my phone started to reboot quite often.
I have flashed diferent Xperia V's ROM but the problem still persists. Now the phone is unusable, it can't event boot on battery.
My battery is probably gone. I don't know if flashing the Hybrid rom and the dead of my battery are linked but take care.

but there is no boot.img inside so i dont know if i can try safely

No more updates after 4.8.8 ?
-> Miui doenst support jb 4.2 after 4.8.8, so there won't be anymore miui updates. But i'll added UpdateMe, an updatetool where i will upload bug fixes if needed. Also i will add some more stuff to UpdateMe till we have a working recovery for 4.4 for new miui updates.

the boot.img and /system/lib/modules folder.
You can pull the folder via adb or use a root explorer to copy it to your sdcard.
For the boot.img you can use adb

adb backup-f boot boot.img
Or as far as i know flashify is also able to make a boot.img backup

Okay i will do a factory restore when i have time for the d950.
I'm pretty sure Playful God got a recovery to work on KitKat with his app but not sure. If so can you just flash back to a 4.2 backup if on KitKat or should I just use the LG Tool. Been awhile since I've done that. Heck been a little while since I flashed anything. lol

So far the recovery on kk only works with his specialized ROM CM 11, a WIP meant mainly for developers, and very advanced users at this point who can contribute to the development process or at least effectively troubleshoot problems.

Yea I've been following his thread. Just wasn't sure.
I see finally some developments in ROM custom versions for this phone either on CM 11 or some other as this one...
It seems that custom recovery TWRP and Freedom Flex are giving us more custom Roms now, and hoping that it will expand on AOSP and Omega Roms as well...
MOD NO LONGER MAINTAINED. FOR 4.4.4, USE THIS XPOSED MODULE: VolumeSteps+
This is a modded framework.jar allowing 30 volume steps instead of 15 by default. It works for music with external speakers, headphones and bluetooth.
From my first tests, it works fine. Tested on stock firmware .438 and .314 rooted & deodexed.
Instructions:
- backup first
- download the attached zip corresponding to your firmware,
- flash the zip in recovery,
- reboot and enjoy
Please give feedback.

I think No. This is just a fine tuning for volume setting. Min to Max with 30 steps.

I Asume 438 should work with 402, but im not sure since its a Framework file

It may work but I can not confirm for sure. I don't know if framework.jar has been modified from .402 to .438.

i know alot of mods work on 438 from 402 simple because of the lack of changes but framework changes are always something to be cairful of
+1 for the CM11 version, tried using a few mods to get this and they haven't worked so far.

Guys... I have created a rom for Xperia Z based on 4.4.4 .283 firmware with rooted and deodexed with Z3 apps & some modifications
The problem is the update-binary get error while flashing through TWRP

Did you tried other generic based ROMs released... They have META-INF files in it u can ask for permission and use those files..

While you're at it, could you also include f2fs support? The official TWRP for Z2 Siruis somehow excluded it, even if the device works just fine with it.

Or better yet, what arguments did you use when compiling twrp to use the new recovery partition. I've only found instructions for use with the fotakernel. My googlefu is failing.
