@goolpone: It also depends on where do you come from: Africa, Asia, Usa, Europe? ;-)
geaerally? eBay my friend.
I'm italian, is there any body who want to sell his/her s730?.. i need 2 devices for $500/$520.. sameone?..
I found many people selling it through "second hand" stores in our country. Try to do the same with google focused on your country area with keywords / sell HTC s730 price / of course in your native language (sell, price).

So you want someone to sell you 2 phones that retail for around $500-550 new for the price of one? The European model has only been out for a few months and AFAIK not picked up by networks yet.
I think you need to either set your price higher or wait for network upgrades to filter on the market. It's when people get 'free' or heavily subsidised phones they don't need that second-hand deals start becoming attractive.
But good luck!

Sure hope thats each, unless someone got theirs for free no one would sell two for what they payed for one, and if it was a pre - prod unit...
but there are not carreer like vodafone, o2, cingular that sell it for a contract? and sameone that coul resell it? i know it's possible and yet done
Did you try my recommendation? I found the second hand phones (one month old = warranty) on 500 dollars level in CZ. I think that in your country you will find the same. There are many people disillusioned by RAM, ATI drivers, GPS lacks.
For a new phone such as this, you'd perhaps be better off trying on ebay
Do not forget that price on ebay is sometimes "penalized" by paying also the TAX and VAT to your custom.
My S730 is brandnew and im already so fed up with it.
Im going to sell it on ebay in the comming days.
I will also post the link to the auction on this forum for you to use.
It means that you are not satisfied by s730 and you will switch to different producer? As f.e. jocky.d? If yes, I have some favorites.
share your favorites then roomish....as I too am getting annoyed with my S730 and ebay is calling
It is so pitty - S730 could be so cool smartphone.
Well my favorites:
Asus P750 - although it has only 64MB - the free memory is about 20MB, the phone is handy sized
iPAQ 614c - very cheap, little bigger
I-mate 8502 - qwerty keyboard
All models are on the market only few days.
I've only had this thing since last week and I think I'm going to return it. The memory leak is horrible, not to mention there isn't enough of it to begin with. If I browse to a non-mobile url using IE, the browser closes since there isn't enough memory! The keyboard is slow and if I type fast, misses letters and I have to go back. A few times I have placed calls and they route through the speaker phone even though I haven't activated it and the entire phone locks up. Don't buy this phone, it sucks. I should have bought a Tytn II, at least then I would have working GPS.
I was after something a little smaller but with features.....
I liked the size of my old C600 but obviously you get more the bigger you get :s
and does anyone want to buy an S730?

Sold for 284,38. Thanks
12 months old? It must be preproduction model!?
hi guys, 1st post =)
I have a few q.s about the Tytn 2 before I decide to buy one ..
1. General opinions about the handset? I'm looking for a new gadget to play with and having used my friend's Tytn 2 this seems to be a worthy contender.
2. Do the Touch Diamond/Pro offer much over the Tytn 2 for the extra cost? Is it a good idea to buy the Tytn 2 2nd hand as people upgrade their handsets to newer models?
3. If i do buy a Tytn 2 I will likely buy one off ebay, unless anyone can suggest anywhere else in the Uk where I can get one cheaper. How much is a realistic price to pay for a Tytn 2 now? Used or new?
thanks!

If you're looking for something with all the bells and whistles to play with, there's not much better and there's nothing that offers the same combination of features. I find the tilting screen very useful when watching videos on the train.

I only have a UK bought HTC TyTN II so cant compare. Does the Touch Diamond/Pro have a tiltable screen (to angle it right when watching videos)? What about expandable microSD memory capability? What do you want it for (other than 'playing with')?
I guess it depends how much risk is involved in the 2nd hand purchase as to whether that’s a good idea. These phones do have some known 'issues' one of which is that the USB port can be susceptible to failure under certain circumstances and you can't really tell until you've tested it under Activesync and tried charging it a few times if that works well. I was in a phone shop a few weeks back when a very angry customer who'd bought his 2nd hand TyTN II there began to tear strips off the shopkeeper. His phone seemed to have a faulty USB port but it also looked as if it'd had a new casing at some stage too - who knows what horrors the poor thing had endured? You need to really know what you're looking at if you buy 2nd hand. If you're not a seasoned veteran, it's safer buying new.

I got my HTC Branded TyTN II back at the end of September 07 and from memory it was about £160 with a 12 month £35 for 500 mins/500 texts Vodafone contract. The company I bought it from is no longer trading and prices have come down since then (especially so if you want a carrier branded variant - they weren't even around back then). Do some research on the net and in phone shops - in the end it's you who has to be satisfied with what you're getting. As it's your first post, you'll need to read the wiki here too - compulsory reading for all newcomers!
What about a HTC Universal/XDA Exec/MDA 5000 as a cheaper option?
What about researching. No one can tell you what one to by. I usually live by this motto.
If reading the specs of a phone doesn't get you excited. you Will loose interest in your "new phone" fast.
I am wanting to sell my Nexus One and I've been looking around some of the prices on Ebay and Craigslist. I wanted to know what people think their Nexus Ones are worth right now.
I tried selling it to someone on this forum and was told: "sorry i can buy a brand new factory sealed n1 from half a dozen places for less than 250." I wasn't able to find any new N1s for at least $250 so I don't think this statement was an attempt to lowball the price. But, if it were true, then that means that my N1's value is on-par with the iPhone 2 or 3G... which I find to be a little hard to swallow.
Mine is in incredibly excellent condition and nothing is broken. I'd love to hear thoughts and opinions.
I've bought mine from buydig.com 2 weeks ago for about 250. Brand new. But with screen calibration issue - something that apparently all nexus ones have :-(
I just checked that site and I don't see anywhere where they sell cell phones...
what network does it operate on? is it unlocked?
if it's in good condition i'd sell it for 300-400 depending on many things. is it rooted? latest OS. that's just me tho.
$210 used, or $260 new, on Amazon
Brand new from ebay at US$279 + free shipping...
I had three and all were rooted with custom ROMs/updated radios.
Sold one on eBay for $215 (auction, not BuyItNow). Sold one on Craigslist for $210.
Keeping the other one for posterity's sake. Still an awesome device, and definitely was a game-changer in the mobile world.

Well if you want a check list of sorts, i would test Bluetooth / Wifi / Phone and Data
followed by both cameras in daylight and low light conditions. Test both speakers and the headphone and USB charging jack
then do an all day battery test. You can test nearly all these with the built in test menu on HTC phones
use the dialer to dial *#*#3424#*#*
Click accept / select all / run
If all those pass, with a little care you should have a good phone for quite some time

That's so funny man. I just saw the deal on slick deals and hopped on it as well. It'll be my second time owning a M7.
Coming from a 2013 Moto X which is a very nice device in its own respect, but damn I miss the M7.
I have a rule of thumb with smart phones and it is that I never go back to an old device. But I made an exception this time because I've never owned the blue one (had silver) and it was only $200!

I got my First One from AT&T on Release day along with the free media link promotion, paid $200 + 2 year contract and got a $100 rebate from HTC for upgrading (sent them an old iPhone 3gs). Sold my iPhone 4S and come out $100 ahead. A year later i got the Refurb from NewEgg for $250 and it was suppose to be Black, but it ended up being silver in near mint condition with the purple camera issue. My step son is using it and doesn't even use the camera. I'm Thrilled to add the Blue One to the collection. I'll s-off it and leave it in the box for a while (I use an M8 Now).
Sweet. I've had the M8 and actually prefer the M7 haha. Cheers man

bought m7 from aliexpress
Hi! I bought an M7 from aliexpress for $160. Its refurbished but the condition is almost new. The hardware is also pretty good. its a verizon unlocked LTE version. The only drawback that I find in this is that i am unable to update it to lollipop or sense 6 even when there is an official updatd available for the phone.
Also, the phone came with superuser su installed but the phone does not pass the root checker.
For $160 M7 is a good deal, atleast here in India.

Is it worth getting a refurbished one with this issues? I plan to get one for my mom but not sure if I can handle these issues remotely.
I've been looking for new ones on Amazon but looks like those marketplace sellers are selling used/refurbished M7 as brand new. Just received a "new" one with the outlines of a case left on the front speaker...
Any info on good source for new old stock would be much appreciated

Can you confirm which seller you bought from or post a link? Was the condition of the handset itself good? I'm tempted by one of these as they appear to be going for £100-150 which is pretty decent considering you get the great HTC build quality and lollipop. I've had the M8 and it was a great phone, ending up selling to raise some cash, then buying an N5, swapped that for a Oneplus one. The OPO is great but I miss the M7/8 build quality and could probably sell it buy an M7 and have some money left over. Also miss the sound quality especially when listening to headphones on the HTC, the OPO is pretty decent but the M8 blew me away. Also keeping an eye out for the HTC One M8S, its basically the M8 with a 64bit processor, 13MP camera (duo) and a slightly bigger battery.

I was in the market to replace my parent’s old Galaxy Note 2. So I’ve been searching around for comparable phone that has slight upgrades. My Budget is around $300. Parents need a phone with removable battery and good GPS so I’m limited to the LG G3, G4 and Note 3 and 4. Also wants screen at 5.5 inches or larger. So was concerned to read about this widespread bootloop issue. After reading up on this issue it seems all old models/ will eventually be affected. I usually purchase phones second hand off of eBay or Swappa but in this case It seems I must be very careful as it seems many people are unloading these devices which will eventually fail. Some have sold their devices beforehand because of this and I’m sure as second hand buyers we will inherit/get the issue in time. Also not sure about how warranty works for second hand buyers. I’m with T-Mobile by the way. What do you guys think about buying a G4 right now? Safe bet or stay away? Also if you guys know any comparable devices that meet all the criteria or most let me know. Thanks
I'll throw my two cents in here. I bought an LG G2 about a year ago and loved the LG style of hardware, button placement, and great performance. I had the old upgrade itch rear its ugly head and so I decided the G4 was the phone for me. Generally it wouldn't bother me to buy mint used phones, but I decided in this case I should do some research. I found out about the bootloop issue and decided it wasn't worth the risk (for me). An awesome deal came up on eBay, brand new G4 in box for $348, snapped that up right away, got it yesterday and from my time with it so far I love it. Best phone I've ever owned. Sorry for the long preamble, here's my advice, if you can swing the extra $40 -$50 for a new boxed phone (assuming a deal like that pops up on eBay again) I would say go for it. The extra $50 in my mind is well worth the peace of mind knowing that it has a warranty. I will say that when I was looking at Swappa I saw a lot of like new T-Mobile refurbs for the G4, however I was still a bit hesitant on those because I couldn't find much info on T-Mobile's refurbishment process. You may be more comfortable with T-Mobile refurbs than I was though so something to consider. I hope you find something that will work well!
Thanks for the advice

Yeah the scary part is it seems people are just unloading the phones and you cant really know which ones will have issues later. If i buy new from ebay will i still be covered by T-Mobiles warranty ? I thought to get that you had to buy the phone direct from them ? I will keep looking around to see if any deals come up.

I don't think you'll be covered by T-Mobile's warranty, but you should be covered by LG's manufacturer warranty (I would think anyway) as long as it's new in box. Also a lot of the new supply is likely to be manufactured after the date when they had issues. The issue dates were from months 05-08 of 2015 (from what I've read in the forums). The phone I got from eBay was manufactured in 09 2015 so it should *fingers crossed* be just fine.

your right. Before i buy it ill have to ask the seller a lot of questions like when was it manufactured and whats the serial numbers and such. Will look into LG's warranty coverage for eBay. I think on eBay you can also buy squaretrade coverage as well.

I'm not aware of any phone that comes with a sim pre-installed.
T-Mobile phones come with an unactivated sim on a punch out card. They are not "installed" in the phone. The Swappa seller is not including this sim in his listing.

Used prices are roughly 300 used so new would cost 500ish but there have been sales that brought the price down to 400ish. Keep waiting and it'll drop even more.

well right now the G4 (H811) is going for $400 (Full Price) and just recently there was a $75 off from $400 but ended already....just wait or if you have $100 more to spare just get it, but i just recommend to wait a bit to see a permanent price cut on the G4 or even the V10.
