Is there an 4.4 KK bootloader available for the AT&T Atrix HD?
I doubt it as it would have been posted here if is was available: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2534217
Thanks
Thanks. I just saw that thread, and was going to delete my question.

In that case... It's the firmware that shipped with the first release batch of the Motorola RAZR i. It is "branded" for the Great Britain region (thus the Retail.en.GB). It has an OTA update, maybe unofficial here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028814
I assume if it does not update OTA to JB
that I can without unlocking/rooting flash a later stock EU/UK friendly genuine Moto firmware?

That didn't quite make sense to me.
The current OTA we have is to a higher ICS version.
You can unlock the bootloader and flash whatever firmware you want with my home-made fastboots
There is an GB-update today for retail so no need to fastboot.
Is it Jelly Bean ?!?!?

He wants me to pay 1st and he'll post. :silly:
he is only 15 miles down the road and says it would be "inconvenient" for me to just pay and collect
He has great feed back though, I don't see the issue.
pulled the trigger and paid
should have my Razr I tomorrow before 12
I have my Rarz I now
was asking for the update almost straight away
it is so nice to be using a android phone that is running a recent os that is not a battery hog

i understand. but realize if we update to 4.2 somehow, the bootloader will still be locked, and the exploit we just used up will be patched. so no root unless you use ota rootkeeper. and hope to never need a replacement phone lol
Hi guys- I've been reading that Android ver.4.3 was relased last night via OTA but if we are rooted we cant get it. is there a way to upggrade install it while still being rooted? i current have TWRP ver. 2.5.0.0.
Thanks alot for your help.
Rgrds,
Robert1c
Even if it did, which I'm pretty sure it didn't, you wouldn't be able to receive it with unlocked bootloader.

I think OP already realized his mistake, he was just telling us which article he was referring to.
Man, if Sprint used the exact same hardware as the GSM Ones, I would be soooo happy.
Do ya think we're any closer to that? No that I'm going to stay with Sprint or anything hehe.
You can run android 4.3 by flashing CM 10.2. Been running it for a few days. Works great.

Hello everyone,
I am posting here today on the topic of the Moto X OS Updater. I have the VZW Moto X Dev Ed running Rooted Kit Kat 4.4. I do not want the new update and it is asking me everyday if I would like to install. As I am not interested in doing so I would like to remove this. Is there a way to shut down the updater or maybe even remove the apk? If so what is it called or how do I do so?
Thanks in advance!

Well from what I read I can't go back to the post camera update if I take 4.4.2. This is important I am able to do what I want you know.

The main reason people want to get back to 4.2.2 is to root. with the DE you can root with any version because of the unlocked bootloader.

yeah, but a little reading and people can figure it all out. and some of the fear is good, people get a little too trigger happy sometimes before they learn the ropes of a new device.

well it is very known what you can and can't flash, it's stickied in the general thread. No misinfo on that one. also all the upgrading and downgrading software and bootloader info is there too. pretty much everything, I think the people who are nervous are the ones not reading threads. things are pretty clear and dry here, and many questions have been answered there too!

CartlandSmith said:
From what others are posting using the unofficial fxz, you can run the 4.4 system with the 4.4.2 bootloader and I would presume the 4.2.2 system, too although I don't see where anyone has specifically tried that. However, if you do run a lower version of the system than the bootloader and accidentally take the 4.4.2 OTA again, you will brick. So you would need to freeze the OTA app to avoid that.

No such device as the Motorola Atrix 3. We do, however, have what's known as the Atrix HD. Here's the link for noobs like you so you can learn what to do with the Atrix HD http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2350721

Use this to root, and this to unlock. Just finished running them myself.
If you're running the very latest AT&T OTA, use this to root.
After that you'll want to install Philz CWM to make backups and flash roms.
And you might not like the unlocked bootloader warning boot logo, so here's a custom one that I like and a stock one is here.
