sounds like your internal SD might be fried.
there is a sticky topic about it.
that is the typical behavior

So is there any solution to this yet?
no, the only fix is to send it to the store and have it warranted, or send it back to samsung for warranty

I was gonna bring it back to Bell for repair, but I was juz wondering if my phone was rooted would void the warrenty?
not as far as i know
they just don't like it SIM unlocked
they don't care much about rooting as it's considered a "software app"
If you bricked your phone, I think you have lost your warranty.
so do you think Bell would help me get the phone repaired if I go and find them?
hello everybody. i have problem... today i restart my lg ob after changing theme in nova script(i had nova v8) and after this restart phone does not goes to the system. try hard reset (search for it )
Download LGMobile Update http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771 in this Update Kit. Then turn of phone, pull of battery and press and hold Vol+ button and plug in USB and then in LGMobile Update click on "Custommer Support" and Recovery Phone. Write your IMEI and click check. It can take a lot of time because it will download a new firmware.

nah, keep on holding that volume up then plug in the USB. have you installed the USB drivers?
Turn your phone off. Use eRecovery! Turn phone on then repeatedly hit Vol Down key then do factory reset. If no luck use KDZ updater.

Phone is rebooting (black screen with blinking touch keys) when installing software on 90% ;/ of course installing software goes to 100% and says its completed and ok, but phone reboots on 90% ;/. I have installed all drivers, i tried on my laptop (win7) and my dad (win xp).

Przykro ki kolego, nie naprawisz tego sam. Musisz odeslac telefon do serwisu LG w Mławie...
Sorry pal, you can't fix it yourself. You must send it to LG service centre in Mława (Poland)...

+1 for this. Flash and flash. Try upgrading to V10E via KDZ. Me thinks it's a bootloader problem. Does LG SECURITY TEAM appears or not?
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda premium
yeah..i flashed this several times...with kdz updater and by lg mobile update->phone recovery. I flashed 10A and 10E...results the same. I dont know how LG SECURITY TEAM looks like but i didnt see anything else besides LG LOGO--> Black screen with blinking touch keys and just Black screen with blinking keys (even without lg logo). I give up with this, there is no hope for this phone i think, today im sending this to the service. Thanks for helping me i will certainly write here what happend if i get phone back
I also stuck on the same thing
Really for that reason i hate LG Black
My phone was on 2.2.1... Then, I tried using ODIN to flash the 100% safe stock firmware DDKQ6 so i could get to 2.3.6. Only thing is,after flashing my phone stopped booting up, the samsung logo won't appear and my phone won't even go to download mode.
I still have the warranty for this phone, so what should I do? Is there a fix for this without me actually having to send this in to the service center?
The battery doesn't appear... so its a hard brick then?
Will the service center take it?
Take it to the service and tell them it stopped working you dont know when and why. Thats what i did and they flashed it with gingerbread. Or you could make yourself that device that puts your phone into factory download mode, you can find some tutorials on youtube.

can you access the wipe cache data? home+power on? there is a thread on this site for hard brick. does your phone get detected when plugged into your pc?
Nope, cant access recovery and computer doesn't detect the phone either.
Guess the only option is either to search for those tutorials or to go to the service center. Thanks for the help.
I was on cm10.1 build, and i clicked "restart" then it closed and now i think i am stuck in ramdump mode, i attached image.

can you boot into system ! ?
stop posting these "brick! help!" threads. We cannot help you if you have a hard brick. CM10.1 ROM will not brick your device if you select "Reboot" Go to the service center.
Try removing the battery and then pressing the download mode button combination and Putting the battery in back while pressing the button combination
This is the emergency download mode
If it is not working
Try removing the battery and plug in the USB wire and press the button combination
Good luck

make a usb-jig to force it in download mode.
if nothing happens, go to service center.

well, what could be the problem? is there any solution?
My phone was bricked aswell, I could not start it at all..not even with charger..it was simply dead...then i tried this
1.Pull out the battery, wait 15 minutes
2.With the battery out , press the power button for 30 seconds(make sure there are 30..i counted 32 to be sure )
3.Put the battery in and try to start it in download mode ( Vol- + Home +Power)
ok, i'll try it, i hope it will work, thank you in advance anyway
It didn't work, but i found on the internet a confidential samsung document with a procedure to flash from external sdcard, but i need JTAG, another mini 2 and the bootloader. so i really don't know what to do, may warranty is void, if i send to service, i think i must pay 100$ or more. i don't have this money.
I'll send it to service center, i think there is no way to revive it manually. I think there is nothing in the phone, because it doesn't boot or even turn on the screen. Anyone knows if EFS is corrupted, will they repair it, and if yes, how much will it costs?

Try this before sending it to the service center. I sent mine and they brought it back saying it's unrepairable, but I don't believe them. I bricked my mini II with flashing wrong rom for other phone and I'm going to try this tomorrow because I can't find the resistors today.
hey man try this method:
1. Battery out. 4secs or more. Battery in (Remove SIM card and SD Card to be saved)
2. Volume DOWN + Home + Power Button. Hold it EXACTLY 5 SECONDS!
(NOW YOU IN DOWNLOAD MOD)
3. You will see or hear nothing! but remember you are there!
4. After when you got in download mod if you remember you need to "Press Volume UP" to confirm it. So press Volume UP and wait 2 seconds
5. Connect your mobile to the PC (Desktop ODIN Running). You will hear the sound. Which mean your phone connected.
6. Flash any stock firmware as you like....
Good Luck!
i don't have money for resistors, also method with download mode doesn't work. i don't think there is a solution

You don't have money for resistors? The price is really low, it costs 1€ in my country. I think USB jig will help or if you don't have time to build it, give it to Samsung service center, they will repair it for free

Hi Guys this is my first time posting here and hoping to find a solution to what I'm experiencing right now.
This is actually the second time and what happened is that my phone got into a BOOTLOOP so of course, Ideally the first thing I did was to forced it to shutdown using the Volume down + Power button combination and so I did, the phone turned off, But after that, When I tried to turned it on again, it won't turn itself on. I even tried to hold various button combinations but to no avail, nothing worked. Aside from that, I have tried to plug in the charger periodically after 20 - 30 seconds with the same interval before plugging it out and repeated the cycle for 20 tries but same result, it didn't worked as well..
So I'm here hoping that someone will be able to help me out as I don't know what to do anymore and I badly need to use my phone for my studies as well.. :crying::crying:
Hello @johnmark21t, I will do my best to help you to figure out what's going wrong with your Note8
Have you tried to boot into download mode (volume down + Bixby + power button) ? Does it work or not ?
If you can't boot your device into Recovery Mode then the motherboard is fried. You are better off getting a new device rather than replacing the motherboard

That's what I'm also thinking about but I cannot comprehend as to why it became like this as my phone was just on standby mode and then just turned off by itself and by the time that it restarted, it was stucked on the Samsung logo in which after I saw that it was like that, I have forced restarted it so I think that's my last conclusion but I don't think that that is the case for me...
What rom and what kernel you have what modes?. What twrp you have? You have flash wrong rom? Wrong kernel? Is impossible for the phone to turn in boot loop mode itself. You did something wrong before the bootloop. Try volume up and Bixby and power button for 30 secs. Or volume down and Bixby and power button for 30 secs. Motherboard failure no give you boot loop. Give you blue screen. Try to flah with Odin is the easy way.

Unfortunately I'm only at stock, not even rooted and I don't have custom recovery mode installed.. all in stock. Even the Odin mode is inaccessible as well.. and again I didn't do anything prior before this happened..
Try connecting your device to a computer with Smartswitch installed and run the emergency recovery process. If that doesn't work then I would recommend that you take your device to a Samsung Service Center and let them take a look at it.
However you should be able to repair your issues using Smartswitch.

Download and install Smartswitch onto your computer. Then connect your device to your computer and launch Smartswitch. If your device is detected by Smartswitch then launch the Emergency Recovery Process.
I'd like to dig this topic out.
I'm also experiencing bootloop after latest OTA update. I've taken device to Samsung Service and they told me that it's faulty motherboard and they want to charge me 1300pln which is about 335$ so I'm like - Hell no, it's not worth it.
Anyway, I'm kind of sceptical about whole fried motherboard story, since recovery mode is working correctly, download mode is showing up as well. I tried to flash same firmware as it has now. It passed but result is the same.
Gonna download some older SW version and try again but maybe any other suggestions from you guys?
UPDATE: Older SW version downloaded and result is still the same. So yeah, screw it

Try flashing firmware that's at least one update above the version you have on the phone and after you flash it in Odin and it finishes with a "PASS" then go into recovery mode and do a factory reset in fact try doing a factory reset right now just to see if it'll work since you have nothing to lose at this point.

Any update on your phone?
I hope there's a class-action lawsuit about this. My Note8 had the same problem. An OTA update was done, and the phone shut off, never to turn on again. No combination of buttons powered the phone on at all.
