Bootloop - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Im stuck in a bootloop after accidently deleting system and the rom file. I've tried abd on 3 computers but the abd command will not pick up the phone. It works 100 % in fastboot but none of my computers will pick it up in abd. I relocked my bootloader aafter trying to flash the RUU And no luck, It went to about 90 percent and I used the fastboot command to reboot it and it juist got /stuck. My CID Reads spcs_001.
Am I 100 Persent bricked?

1.Buy an USB OTG Cable (About 5 Dollars)
2.Get the Latest RUU and extract the Rom.Zip (just Google: Extract Rom from Ruu)
3.Put the Rom.Zip on a usb flashdrive and connect to USB OTG Cable.
4.Connect Cable to Device and Boot to TWRP.
5.On install Zip change directory to USB OTG and flash zip.
6. Carefully! Wipe Cache and Dalvic. Dont mess up the System This time.

Thanks a bunch man! Ill order one.
I've done this before accidentally but Abd has always worked., so I thought it would be an easy fix, lol.
Edit: keep bootloader locked or will it work with any rom?

[Q] No OS is installed, stuck on boot?

Hi there,
So I've wiped it completely ending up with no OS installed on it, i have nothing on the SD card (Internal storage in this case).
When i boot it up, it just stays on the HTC logo.
Im using a mac, so when i connect it to, Android File transfer pops up trying to recognise it, but in the end it doesn't.
My question is, how do i get my computer to recognise my phone so i can put a zip onto it and flash it.
I've seen people saying adb, but i have no idea how to use it, or what it is kind of, i know its something to do with terminal?
Any help?!

I have never tried ADB with a mac, but what i would do for my windows is first download and install the fastboot drivers. then, you should make sure that you still have a custom recovery image (CWM, TWRP, etc.) if you dont, then push one via adb (google it, there are billions of articles.) Then, i would install zip from sideload from the recovery. I know that CWM has an option like this. Some recoveries have an option to mount your phone as USB storage, allowing you to drag and drop roms from your computer to your phone's SD card and then you can just flash the rom from your sd card. Make sure you do a full wipe before flashing. (factory reset data, format system)

Hi,
Thanks so much for replying.
I now have a new problem, i was searching up, and apparently i can install the stock rom if i relock the bootloader (which i have now done) and then run the RUU? (Is this correct?)
So i have done all that, however i can't seem to find the right RUU, because when it says do you want to update from image version... to image version... they are always different numbers?
My image version is 2.24.401.1
I think mine is the unlocked International version, i bought it on Amazon.
Can you help me at all?

Download adb sdk and set it up. I don't know how to do it in Mac so just Google it. When your adb is setup. Go in adb folder, then SDK folder, then platform-tools and put any ROM zip there. Do this first I will tell you more when you are through this.

Also i have access to a windows computer, so that might be easier for you to be able to explain it.

No problem. Once you had set up everything , go to platform tools folder. From there open command prompt and run this command adb push ROM.zip /data/media/0/. You have to run this command in boot loader mode on your phone. It will put ROM on the phone. Mind you it will take some time. Up 10 to 15 mins in case of sense ROM and 5 to 10 min in case of cm or other aosp ROM. After that reboot in recovery and install rom.

Funnily enough i had the same issue a week or so ago. I was going to flash a ROM and went to wipe in TWRP. Mucked up and wiped the "sd card" as well as system and data. I blame the wine.
Anyhow, oopsy.
I had recently bought a USB stick with a micro usb plug built in. I loaded a ROM flash-able zip onto that, plugged it in, and mounted USB OTG from TWRP.
Flashed it from the USB stick and all was well. Having never tried this i was actually surprised it worked.
Just mentioning this as an alternative for people who may not be that comfortable with adb. Does require a custom recovery. I know it can be done under the latest version of TWRP, but not sure about CWM as i haven't used that for ages.

Hi,
Yeah i was thinking about doing that and ordering one from amazon as i don't know anyone else who sells on in shops.
However, even i order today it will come Tuesday, so in the meantime i will see if i can fix it using adb.
Thanks anyway
Have you installed adb SDK. Just Google and install it at C:\ . you will get an adb bundle folder. In that folder you will find SDK and in SDK is platform tools folder. Or if you have USB drive and an OTG cable, you can use @astmacca's method. Its much easier.

If you don't, copy a rom to a USB flash drive and connect it to your phone with an OTG Cable, and flash it via twrp

ok so fastboot is working, as suggested before post a "fastboot getvar all" (remove IMEI and s/n).
If sideload isn't working you can use "adb push", but first thing is to reflash custom recovery just in case it's corrupted.
so download CWM or TWRP (from the threads in xda), then
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
-> enter RECOVERY
then
adb push <name of rom>.zip /sdcard/ (this will take anywhere between 5 to 15minutes and not show progress, eventually it should come back with "success")
then
install zip in recovery, and choose the <name of rom>.zip and install it.

Since you are telling device is not detected in PC,
I can safely assume that you are not flashing boot.img through fastboot from PC.
If you are S-ON, you need to flash boot.img file of ROM you want to install through fastboot command...
fastboot flash boot boot.img
google it for more info.
And connect your phone, go to fastboot mode and check with command
fastboot devices
your device should be listed in fastboot mode
and if still not detecting by PC, then must be driver issue and it should have nothing to do with phone.

I just reread his post. Then reread yours. And I realized that the other guy's post doesn't really make much sense. I don't know if he is saying if his computer's USB port is broken. If so then use another one. Then I could also read it as His phone's USB port is broken, and in that case, he really is out of luck.

Hey, lt's lot of guess work here and we need to hear from actual victim...
but let me put my basis..
from 1st post, I can assume that he doesn't know of fact that he need to flash boot image through fastboot.
Hence, I believe that he may even doesn't know what if fastboot.
And without any ROM installed, device can only be detected in fastboot.
So, I strongly believe, he need to try to detect device in fastboot mode and very less chances USB is broken.
Now lets wait to hear from OP guy.
in htc sunsation 4ext recovery there is a way to flash boot.img
try it :
1- go to 4ext recovery
2- select Tools
3- the last one is ( enable smart flash)>> click it once then flash ROM
I don't know if our 4ext recovery support this feature or not
yep. because this is development and all that.

[q] twrp usb-otg to flash custom rom?

Hello everybody; I did try to search if a similar thread had been posted and wasn't successful; so I'll try to explain my situation concisely. First time I rooted my HTC One I got a boot lop; but right before this I had done a factory reset using TWRP, and I think that means USB-debugging is off; I tried unrooting with an RUU file but couldn't find my specific one and tried others and they didn't work. So basically, I have access to the boot loader and TWRP, but I CAN'T use ADB commands since usb debugging is off; the device isn't detected and I've updated all my drivers and it detected the phone just fine when USB debugging was off (So drivers aren't the issue here)
So my question is this; can I save the CUSTOMROM.zip file to a USB flash drive, and then use a USB OTG and TWRP to flash it from there? If so, how? Otherwise I really see no choice but to sell the device as "semi-bricked" (?). Thanks in advance, any other piece of advice is greatly appreciated. Please Help!

Usb debugging only enable adb connection when phone is booted in the OS. You can still use ADB from custom recovery even if USB debugging is OFF.

Not sure what you are saying here. If your drivers are correctly installed, then your phone, when booted in twrp, should be detected as ADB interface in windows devices manager. So you can use adb to push or sideload a rom to your phone and then install it using twrp.

so you don't have recovery access?
Press both volume down and power untill the phone completely shuts off. Don't let go till its off. Then press volume down and power and as soon as you see the LG logo let go then press power button again taking you to the reset screen. Follow through to factory reset to get you to twrp or whichever recovery you put it on.

So I recently downloaded a g3 ROM on 24a baseband and flashed the at&t version instead of the Verizon version so as you know now I am sitting with a brick.. Every time I try to put the phone in download mode I get what is pictured in the pic below it says (840) fastboot mode started (890) udc_start.... Now I am assuming I have to do something with fastboot and adb but not sure what really would like to get off my galaxy nexus and back on the phone.. I know there is lots of nice people on XDA that can help so please do expect some beer for the help thanks guys

Have you try to get into TWRP or CWM recovery via hard buttons? 1) From that fastboot screen, press power and vol. down together and hold for 8 seconds until it reboots by itself and then flash off, 2) press power and vol. down together until LG logo turns on, 3) Let go of both buttons briefly (1/2 second), push both buttons together again for 1 second, only to let go of the volume down button, 4) This should bring up a white Factory Reset screen, 5) push Power button 3 times to enter TWRP or CWM recovery (hopefully you can restore a saved rom--if not download a rom (and all support files like Gapps if needed on AOSP roms) via PC on USB-OTG flash drive (buy one if you don't have one as they're so convenient, USB-OTG cable is like $2 on Epay to use your existing flash drives, or 32GB Kingston micro-Duo OTG flash drive is $15), then use File Manager of TWRP to copy the rom over to your "SD card" and then to flash them.:good:
Edit: Damn, late to the party again
If you can't boot to recovery to flash an other ROM for your variant, follow this guide, it should work.
Read it twice before you do anything!

kudos to @cms88168 for this fix, i will use his guide but will make some tweaks.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595
Make sure to download your versions aboot, boot, dbi, laf, misc, modem, persist, recovery, rpm, sbl1, and tz images here
and download his 7Z file (from here: click! | password: cms88168) and place all of the images into the extracted file, replacing his laf.img with yours.
next you want to hold shift and right click and open command prompt in the fastboot folder.
make sure your phone is connected and is in fastboot mode.
next we will be erasing and flashing all of the images back. do this one line at a time obviously.
Code:
fastboot erase aboot
fastboot flash aboot aboot.img
fastboot erase boot
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot erase dbi
fastboot flash dbi dbi.img
fastboot erase laf
fastboot flash laf laf.img
fastboot erase misc
fastboot flash misc misc.img
fastboot erase modem
fastboot flash modem modem.img
fastboot erase persist
fastboot flash persist persist.img
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase rpm
fastboot flash rpm rpm.img
fastboot erase sbl1
fastboot flash sbl1 sbl1.img
fastboot erase tz
fastboot flash tz tz.img
fastboot reboot
you should then reboot and turn your phone off. Next plug it in holding the volume+ button and boot into download mode (it should work now) if not you might not have downloaded the right versions for your phone or something else is completely wrong and i dont know how to fix it.
Next you should revert to stock using this guide.

I hope this helps some people! Feel free to ask questions or provide some feedback, this is my first guide.

If you can still get into TWRP you should be able to adb push another ROM and anything else you need to flash while in recovery.

If you don't already have the Android SDK installed on your PC you will need to install and set that up first. It can be found here:
https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html?hl=i
Next make sure you have the proper drivers for your phone installed on your computer. They can be found here:
http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-VS980
Open up a terminal and plug your phone into your computer while it's in recovery mode and try running the adb devices command. If no devices are listed (which they weren't for me the first time), open up Device Manager (assuming you are on Windows) and find your device. Right click on it and select "Update driver software" then "Browse my computer for driver software" then "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer." Now, you should be able to select the driver for your phone. I selected the "ADB Sooner Interface" and it works for me. After running the adb kill-server and then adb devices command your device should be listed. Next all you have to do adb push the ROM plus any other files you want to flash.
If you need any more help, feel free to PM me and I'll do my best.
