Hi
I have a moto x with the bootloader unlocked and stock kernel with TWRP. Everything else is stock android 4.4 from T-Mobile.
I followed this thread to root the phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536200 "[HOW-TO][DEV EDITION ONLY]Root on 4.4 KitKat"
Everything went fine and I had root acces. I installed xposed framework and some moddueles without problem and cerberus but when I tried to install greenify I noticed I couldn't give it root permissions. I checked super su's app and everything seemed normal so I downloaded Root Checker to confirm I'm rooted but it says I'm not.
Knowing that I lost root (can't figure out why) I went to super su app and selected to unroot the device. Then I booted into recovery and flashed again the root zip but when checking again if I have root privileges with root checker, it still says no.
Now I can't get root again. I'd like to avoid using fastboot because I'm using linux (I'm a noob with bootloaders and fastboot because I got spoiled by Samsung).
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:
I forgot to mention that I did a backup before I rooted the device the first time in case that helps.
Nevermind. I fixed it.
I was hoping to root this MlG and safestrap off of it but the root doesn't seem to work. The device reboots, but won't root. Any get it to work with MLG?
I am looking for a root method for my D955 running 4.4.2 kitkat, build number KOT49I. I tried the ioRoot method, but this showed me a dead Android (incompatible).. I searched the Internet but couldn't find something I could use.. Is there a way to root my device?
Rooted using towelroot! Please close thread
I have a AT&T Note 3 that I rooted and updated with Kingoroot from 4.3 to 4.4.2 and have a baseband model number N900AUCUCMLG. Is there any way for me to upgrade to stock lollipop without losing root?

If you have Safestrap installed, then you just need this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59666958&postcount=2. It is rooted Lollipop. If you don't have Safestrap installed, then you will need to install Busybox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox&hl=en (installed it, open it and do a normal install from inside the app). Next install Safestrap http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=7216 (install it, open it and grant Supersu permission and click install).

Towelroot/Kingo only work on NC2 or older. You'll need to odin back to 4.4.2 (NC2), install towelroot, SafeStrap (3.75), & Busybox. Afterwards, you can open SafeStrap & flash the rooted OC1.

You can't root OC1. You have to downgrade to NC2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54803130&postcount=136 when root it. Once you do that, then you can install Busybox and Safestrap, then flash the OC1 Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59666958&postcount=2 in Safestrap. Just in case post #4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/help/att-note-3-lollipop-t3100657 has anything else you might need.

KitKat 4.4.4 ..want supersu access with xposed framework...rooting with kingroot and getting supersu access is not stable .. Answer immediately..
you need to replace kingroot with supersu.Kingroot can root your device but can't fully give you root access.Go to this link-http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html
