[Q] Is there an hboot without the red text? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there an hboot that I can flash that only removes the red text? I am on 6.09.401.5 firmware. I have tried searching both on XDA itself and using Google, the only thread I could find is this one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316726 and hboots in the link aren't working. I get error 41 wrong device ID.

A link to the Rom you tried would have been helpful. This one says it's signed http://www.ce4arab.com/vb7/showthread.php?t=446894

The signature error might be due to corrupt upload or download. My Persian is non-existant but Google translate tells me at least one other person has this issue. Could have even been you. I suggest you have a look at the forum topic related to this download. I couldn't view it without joining the site.
Give us an update here if you make any progress.
i found something
there was a topic in this forume that they could fix this error (signature) with s-off
is it possible??

Yes having s-off will let you bypass signature checks. But you can't successfully install an ruu on the phone when it's s-off. I think you have a corrupt download.

RED text from splash screen wont comeback

I am trying to go back to 100% stock for a hardware malfuntion in my ATT Htc one. I took the s-off by following the guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358738
Now i have a stock hboot but my splash screen does not display red text even after i flashed the stock screen according to the guide listed in 100 stock guide.
I dont want to put s-on now because of the damned text not appearing. what should i do.
Btw my cid number was CWS_001 which wasnt in any of the splashscreen zip files so i converted to 1111111(dunno how many ones).
Is that something to be concerned about.
Red text isn't supposed to be there with stock hboot.
The red disclaimer only appears on leaked/unreleased hboots.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app

****** you may want to boot into the bootloader and verify that it shows version 1.44.0000 for the hboot ( YES I VERIFIED THAT) and also when booting up the device you should have the white stock splash screen with the red warning on the bottom. If you do not see both of these attributes then do not proceed. (I DONT SEE ONE OF THESE ATTRIBUTES)

where did you get hboot 1.43 from, if i'm not mistaken that's from a (possibly) pre-release 1.20 ruu, the lowest should be 1.44

Yes not only Hboot, all the firmware pack (which include it).
What rom are you using? Can i have a "fastboot getvar all"
If you are with android 4.4, please follow this guide and install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485651
You will have the last firmware with last radio and hboot 1.56 with no red warning.

What error message did you get running the RUU?
And which RUU are you running?
Good question what the error message was. I don't know. I have to try it again to tell you what was the error.
I used the ruu from the link above.

Looking at your hboot it's likely that the RUU won't work because you would be downgrading the software using that RUU, which you cannot do as you are s on

Ahhhh. My mistake and I didn't read the post correctly *face Palm*
You can downgrade your hboot to 1.44 but the touch screen won't work with your current Rom. You can supercid though and run any RUU if you are s off

That thread says you need to be on hboot 1.57, and I'm on 1.60 - can I use it anyway? If so, which one of the three should I use? I see one of them says mainver: 6.16.651.2 which matches up with the OS line in my fastboot - is that the one for me?
Thanks

6.16.651.2 is the latest LP OTA that's the one I would use.

Thanks, any thoughts about changing the splash screen? I heard that because of partition changes, if you use the wrong one or wrong method you could brick.

Used to be able to use the moonshine/rumrunner hboot to do it. I have not heard anything about partitions changing (doesn't mean they didn't).
So in theory if they did not change you could still use that method.
I would suggest doing some more reading before you do anything.
