This may sound random but just wondered what people prefer???
I havent actually used a plain android ui yet but have seen reviews of nexus s and it looks better than sgs ui, which brings me onto my next question, hopefully galaxy s gets 2.3 update and was just wondering what peoples thoughts were if samsung were to put their touchwiz over it instead of having it like the 2.3 on nexus s???

well there are a lot of differences.
let me do a diagram....
touchwiz:
iphonish app drawer
editable widget layout
editable app drawer
slow app exit
samsung widgets
heaps more.......
google's:
some new widgets
3D app drawer
differnt status bar
faster
heaps more
sooo its not the people to decide its actually what features everyone likes
Hey all, I'm running ParanoidAndroid right now and just like the Jelly Bean easter egg, there's another one. Go into settings, then about device and find CyanogenMod Version. Tap that about 4 or 5 times and be amazed! Just thought I'd share this

I had this on my xperia arc with 4.1.1 too
I've also found this, under about phone tap the android version number 5 times (might have to spam it a bit), then hold your finger on the image that pops up.
go to settings and tab the software version repeatedly until that screen pops up. then you will see jellybeans everywhere.
leave that screen on and just press power button to sleep device and then press again to wake it. once unlock the screen the jelly bean easter egg is refreshed. keep repeating the sleep/wake screen unlock step until you see the candy cane floating around.
sometimes it takes more than a few tries.
And it's interactive... the idea is to touch and flick all the jellybeans off the screen... when you get the screen completely clear... out get another easteregg surprise
Can't seem to find that candy cane yet. I'll keep trying though.
Cool find, OP!
Next android version will be Kandy cane?

I got the screen clear multiple times and nothing happened except more jelly beans slowly creeping out of the edges. What's supposed to be the other easteregg surprise?
Wanted to play with the jelly beans but the rom I'm using only shows one big red jelly bean in the center of the screen

Awesome, thanks. Thought I tried press and hold before posting but now I got it working. Almost as fun as flinging cows
Found the candy cane. When you lock an unlock the screen or shift from portrait to landscape it repopulates the jelly beans. Took me 73 tries

Google calls it a jandycane
Do the same with ParanoidAndroid version number on a PA rom.
I remember when this was first reported back in July... I thought it was a photoshop at first, but after a couple tries, I saw it.
If some of you have am Android 4.0 ICS device, ICS has a similar "Easteregg within the Easteregg" - kinda "Nyan Droid" like, lol.

Yes, i've tested it on my Arc S. Enter the easter egg and then just keep pressing on the droid and it will get bigger and the "Nyan Droid" animation will begin!
As most of u will already know, tapping the android version in settings several times in a row brings up the easter egg, that shows in our case the ICS android. By long tapping the android, floating androids will pop up....
Does anyone know, where this animation is located?
Edit: btw, it's called nyandroid...
AWESOME!!!!
Its a nice reference to nyan cat.

Okay I didn't know where to post this, but since I'm not sure this works on all versions of Google Now and other homes I will just post it here. As I'm sure everyone has seen by now there is a complied list of Google Now commands and easter eggs. http://i.imgur.com/JsRapk3.png
The easter egg "make me a sandwich" is on there. It will respond with "what make it yourself."
Say "sudo make me a sandwich" and it will say OK.
