I installed CM7 to my 2OX and it worked all right.. I rebooted my phone and the S/W Upgrade please wait... screen showed up..
I waited for over 2 hours and nothing.. Now I took the battery off and put it back on and rebooted...
Now I am sitting on the LG logo and its been over 30 minutes and nothing... How can I fix this problem??
Thanks for the help!
I'm no expert in this, but have you tried to boot into recovery and clear cache/dalvik?
Seems like that fix startup problems many times.
I actually figured it out... I couldn't even start up ROM Manager and everytime I wanted to reboot it in Recovery mode, some misterious things happened.. LOL.. I kept pressing the - Volume key too long that it restarted it by itself.. Once I got into the Recovery Mode I got it to work.. I have now installed CM7 Nightlies in my phone and its working great... well.. I just ran out of battery, but for what I saw it was great..
One thing though.. I installed Gapps, but the android market wasn't there.. I can't go into my cell phone, since it is out of battery, but is there something I did wrong? or do I have to install the market app again? How to do that?
Thanks in advanced... I know this shouldn't be so complicated, but since I can't play with my cell phone right now, I thought I ask...
I bought this HTC a few weeks back, was installing Swype and the phone went into a boot loop and later on displayed a red traingle on booting, so I removed the battery and tried turning it on, it would not boot, I did not root it or did any customizations to it. The most annoying thing is that I bought it in Malaysia and now am on holidays in India and it just had to happen at this moment, lucky I took my old N 97 along. When I connect it to the laptop I get the QHSUSB_DLOAD in the device manager and have no clue what to do, if there is anything I can do before getting back to Malaysia and giving it for service please do help.
Try taking battery out - also take sd card out - and leave for a few mins then reboot.
you could also try booting into hboot ... power on whilst holding volume down - you maybe able to do a recovery from there.
Tried everything I could, nothing really helped, yet thanks for your interest in the issue
Can't you do a factory reset from recovery?
/ Sent from my HTC IncS
using XDA Premium App /
did u make any stock recovery thru htc sync? might as well send it back to htc..
basically without htc sync, the stock recovery is useless
Hi, I installed the Codename Android 4.1.2 firmware on my phone a month back and it was working fine until now.
Last night, I rebooted my phone and kept it to charge. This morning I realized that the phone did not turn on and the screen was black with just the capacitive buttons lighting up on touch.
The only change I made to the setting was to turn off the boot animation for a quicker boot.
I changed the kernel via Odin but it's still not proceeding to reach the homescreen.
Some help please?
hi,
although i am not an experienced user...i may suggest trying to take battery out and push the power button for at least 30 sec and also trying to push middle button for at least 30 sec before you try anything else.
and again, did you check about partition(and themes around it) when or before you make changes to kernel?
may i also just ask because of curiosity as a kind of noob, how long does it take to boot with animation screen and without it?
Hey,
I did a factory reset and it managed to work somehow but I lost all data as I didn't have a backup made.
I rebooted my phone again and now its again stuck on the boot animation.
I tried your method but it's still stuck.
Previously, before changing the kernel it took around 20 seconds to boot with the logo and about 15 without it.
With the new one... well it's been 2 hours now.
how come u change ur kernel via Odin ? is it suitable with ur ROM? try reflash all again. There something wrong with ur kernel, or u tick da repartition on Odin while u flashing kernel
Hello,
My HTC is rebooting every 5 minutes, somtimes more, somtimes less.
The screen turns black for half a second and after i get the cyanogenmod logo for few second.
I don't have to type my PIN code each time this happens.
My problem started today, I installed CM on saturday.
Sometimes I also can't unlock the phone, the LED is shining but i can't wake it up, i have to hold power + volume - few times to run bootloader and restart the mobile.
This is strange, any ideas what is going on ?
Maybe I am posting in the wrong section and sorry for my english.
Ps : I typed this message 2 times on the HTC but each time it reboot and I have to start again :crying:
Sounds like you need a full wipe
Thank you for your response
I backuped, wiped factory and restore and i didn't help.
So can you tell me what kind of wipe do I have to do ?
I am using TWRP
Do a clean install of the Rom..something you did messed with your stability... Don't restore...
Instructions
Wipe factory and cache
Install Rom freshly
I was on Cyanogen 10.1.3 stable (at&t), S-off, rooted with Team Win recovery.
I flashed this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582066
which is the unsense with Beats (my reason for flashing)
It flashed fine, but when it loads the OS, it displays a message saying something along the lines of htc.dialer not responding, so i select ok to force close. the phone works fine for 20 seconds, then reboots. cannot open the phone number pad, though, it remains blank. if i select wait, same thing, 20 seconds and reboots.
the power button seems to not work anymore, i press it and nothing happens so i am unable to enter recovery/bootloader, it is just endlessly rebooting.
one thing i didn't do (i should have but i was lazy) was to make sure my firmware and radio was up to date, mainly because i couldn't figure out which version to use. i am on bell canada.
am i completely screwed, or is there some way to save this?
i can follow step by step instructions, and have rooted/flashed several phones throughout the years with no issue, and have flashed this HTC one about 15-20 times with no issue. however, i am not a programmer by any means.
i tried to follow this guide (i don't know if this is for my problem or now) but i couldn't find the adb usb device thing
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503646
if anyone has any suggestion, please let me know!
thank you
EDIT: Nevermind!!! For some reason, the power button randomly started to work again, and after trying 20 times, I was finally able to load recovery and revert back to CM. Whew.
