hmmm i'm just wondering to root my phone with universal android root. so will it give me access to boot loader so maybe i can install cyanogen mod
It will root your phone (except 2.2.1), but will not unlock your boot loader.
Once rooted, you can install a custom recovery, and the Cyanogen (or any other ROM).
You do not need to unlock the bootloader.

hi, very happy that we have achived root access with locked boot loader. Now, can we install CWM with locked boot loader? I have checked and found out that the current CWM for Xperia Z required unlocked bootloader.

you answered your question.
Currently there is no custom recovery for a locked bootloader, i believe.
Is there any way to flash CWM (or TWRP or whatever..) to the XPERIA Z without first getting root permissions or unlocking of bootloader?
