[Q] LG G2 Root VS98026a - Verizon LG G2

Hey Guys, towelroot had nothing for the latest update to my g2. So what is the best way to root this VS98026a version?

Towelroot, keep running it til it works, otherwise you need to through the return to stock process and root it at 24A then let it take the OTA to 26A.

Stump root works

Stump root seems to have worked for me. I haven't done anything that proves it's rooted, but my status page says it's rooted.

I have to assume that that is a 4.4.2 update.has far as I have been able to tell, if you rooted using SlapMyMoto and WPNoMo, then update, you will retain root access but lose your ability to disable write protection via rebooting into recovery.
Mmm i have unlocked bootloader with root through cwm.

Woooooooooot. It worked on international version (D955) !! Thanks!!
Note that you will have to install supersu manually.
If you enter supersu, it will ask you to install binaries. But that failed for me (Normal method). But it isnt necessary i believe, cause everything is working now

I really got tire and do not know why con not be rooted

MLG is still not rootable downgrade to mj5 if you are on the old kernel root with kingo or upgrade then root with towel root.
If you are on the new kernel I would think it would work.

Which kernel do you have? Go to about device and look at your kernel. If it's not the one pictured below then you cannot root. Use carl1961's guide to get this kernel so you can root.

Edit- here's the guide. It talks about getting the 722whatever kernel in the OP:

Just an FYI you can't go back to jelly bean if you update your kernel

EDIT 2 - Finally Figured out. Installed NUT's dual recovery. Works perfect
You need root to install recovery and to get root you need to unlock your bootloader or flash a pre rooted firmware. There is no known exploit to root current firmwares.

Sorry forgot to add I have rooted 5.1.1.
can u help me installing recovery after rooting?

Where to find most up to date rooting info for G900A and is there any 5.1.1 Roms?

So yea, like the titles says. Where can I find the most up to date rooting info for the SM-G900A, and is there any 5.1.1 or Marshmallow Roms that are still being supported out there?
Thank you
There is no root if the phone came with or has taken the lollipop ota. The only working root is from kit Kat. This phone is almost 2 years old and I believe most devs have moved on to a better phone.
I am looking for the same. I got my phone from US AT&T and i try to root it but nothing works. Tried all methods in here. Nothing works. Tried Odin and all the applications like kingo, towel etc.,
Really looking for a help

There is a new root method for the S5 in the Verizon threads for 5.0. Not 5.1.1 so that might be a different beast but still. hope?
