Hi, This root method is not one click stuff, I tested it on my TX with HK firmware, with ES File Explorer granted root on .67.
Pro:
Worked on LOCKED BOOTLOADER
Enjoy complete .67 (not more go back .411 kernel)
Con: USE AS YOUR OWN RISK!
Prerequisite
.411 that able to receive OTA 1.67 update (ex. XperiaTX_LT29i_9.1.B.0.411_HK.ftf)
In case you need .411 HK, here you go
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwYQCZybU8x6aG1sY0tuRWRWaUE/edit?pli=1
File: 167RootFix.zip & CWM4XperiaT_v7i_JB.zip
Please put 167Rootfix.zip in your SD card (a place you know to install from CWM)
Let's Start
1. Root 411 with Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v31 (I prefer clean 411)
(with New Xperia Root by Goroh_Kun)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
2. (optional)Check out if your root is okay (by whatever app that need root)
3. Apply 1.67 OTA thru system update in setting, install and wait for it.
Now your TX is booted and at half root!
4. Install CWM (Unzip file and run install.bat from PC), Choose TX, it will restart your phone in 5 seconds, press vol DOWN – button to enter CWM
5. Go to Mount and Storage , on Mount system press power button (it will show unmount system then), Go Back and Install Zip from SD card , please locate 167Rootfix.zip
After finished install, go back to main menu and Reboot.
6. Done, Enjoy
Thanks bro, sorry bad EN:

No problem bro, there maybe other way to root, but I found this by far the easiest way to root.

What's in the 167rootfix? I did a similar procedure and it kept the root as far as I can tell.

OK, I will try it , the reboot issue bothers me for a long time. Hope it may work well on my phone . THX
:good: Nice one. Going to check this out.
I managed to get root on .67 by rolling back to .411, rooting with Bin4ry31, then installing Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper.
Loaded up .67 ok and got root back, but trying to mount the system as R/W in ES File Explorer or via ADB results in a reboot after about 3 seconds.

Same issue here. Other root functions seem to work except it won't remember root permission, have to allow each time

I confirmed that this method wouldn't not reboot when R/W system.
But yes, it doesn't remember granted root after a REBOOT in ES. I didn't try other things yet but this one does okay job.

for some reason I cannot install the zip fix with cwm, it said it cannot find busy box prop and fail to install the fix. I end up having trouble using es explorer to gain rw right

You could try to do it from clean 411 again, I know some problem about modified system could cause error.
Or you can try one click root that just out

Hi, I installed ES Explorer to see my /data folder but it doesn't show anything. I also tried with root browser. Maybe I need to be rooted but I remember that I was able to see those files the first week with the phone.

You have to be rooted, and then enable Root Explorer in the settings of ES.

I've used ES Explorer on an unrooted phone and it showed the files fine. Not sure what you can do solve the OP's problem though

Doesn't work for me if not root-enabled. Two screenshots of /data/ one without root explorer enabled and one with.

You may have to enable the option to "Show Hidden Files" if it's not already. Otherwise, try wiping data and see if that fixes the problem

There is no alternative solution as the problem is related to the system, then if you don't have root you will not be allowed to write to your sd.
Thanx Google for that.

Folder mount, SDFix.
Both can do this, root is needed but on a Z1 that isn't exactly hard.
I already rooted & U/L my z1
