Currently the only way you will be able to gain S-OFF and root your phone is to use the XTC Clip hardware device. All of the current software solutions will not work with GB 2.3.3 at this time.

My phone is already S-off via XTC Clip
I need now only root method ?

if it's already s-off, flash clockworkmod recovery first. then from cwm u can flash roms.
flashing roms dont need root.

[Q] S-ON for warranty

Hi
I installed a HTC RUU on my S-OFF Incredible S.
In the boot menu the phone says: S-ON but also *** LOCKED *** in purple.
Is this good? Can i send the phone for warranty?

it's all good bro! you can send it to warranty!! u r really lucky to have locked bootloader because many of them are having relocked bootloader!

Have you unlocked the bootloader? It's easier to use the commands directly, at least you know what stage goes wrong.

If you are then drop the phone into fastboot and run
fastboot oem writecid 11111111

help RUU error 155 and deleted everything in SDcard

my friend device deleted everything in SDcard
while i want to unlock it.it will be unlocked but after reboot its relocked. can't flash unlock.bin .cuz it fails. tried.
and with RUU asia i got Error 155 .cuz i have low version of the RUU
i need a RUU wich is same this version or upper.

Do you have a custom recovery installed? If so unlock the bootloader again.
