Having trouble with Tasker and stamina mode - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It seems like some alert features on Tasker don't work correctly if I have stamina mode on. I've added Tasker to the ignore standby list but that didn't help. What else should I add?

[Q] Scheduled Profiles

There are several apps out that does this kind of thing:
Timerriffic
Locale
Tasker
Setting Profiles
Profile Valet
I'm after something Free that I can do the following:
Turn on/off AutoSync
Turn on/off notification/ring volume
Turn on/off orientation
Turn on/off airplane mode
on a scheduled time or location based.
Does anyone have any recommendations or experience?
I hear lots of people like Tasker but it seems a bit complex!
Tasker does that and a LOT more, but there is an app that'll probably do what you want. Haven't tried it myself yet, since I own and love Tasker. Look for Modus on the market, also has a thread on this forum.
Thanks
I've just tried modus and it doesn't have a autosync plugin

[Q] stamine mode not reccomended??!

I have Titanium Backup scheduled to do over night backups + Circle Alarm (for alarms on 5.45 am and 7.00am) + easy Reminder (for reminding me about missed calls). When phone in Stamina mode, none of them works - they start working (I mean starts backup, reminds me etc) only when screen goes on .So, what's the use of stamina if no alarm works, no reminder and so on? It's a dead phone....
Hey ,
You should add these apps you mentioned in to STAMINA "Apps active in standby", by pressing on STAMINA MODE in Power management. After that they should work as you want.
How does push email work when stamina mode is enabled? Or will it not work? I've added email and exchange services to the white list, but if wifi and data isn't working, then....?

It's activated in some period of time.

With Stamina mode the following apps/features will work:
Phone calls
SMS/MMS
Sony Calendar notification (stock calendar)
Sony alarm signal (stock clock)
Music player (Walkman)
FM radio
Downloads and uploads in the progress are allowed to finish
+ you can add the application that you are willing to keep alive, just tap the "STAMINA mode" option and select an app.

[Q] Downtime, Priority Mode, Sleep Mode with Moto Assist in Lollipop

Hey guys,
I don't own a Motorola device running Lollipop, but I'm curious as to how Moto Assist handles the Priority Mode in Lollipop.
If I'm not mistaken, in KitKat, Assist's 'Sleep Mode' will switch the phone into Silent Mode, depending on the time you've set. Also, you get the option for certain contacts to be able to get to you while the Sleep Mode is on (with the choice of None, Starred Contacts, Everyone in your phone book). I can't remember if there's the option to let Messages from the white-listed contacts to ring during Sleep Mode period, or even an auto-reply for all calls/text rejected during Sleep Mode.
I'm curious… how does Moto Assist handle this Priority Mode/None/All found in Lollipop?
If I'm not mistaken, if you've set Sleep Mode in Assist, it will turn on Priority Mode. Are you limited to the same options, as to how Contacts white-listing are handled (choice of None, Starred and Everyone?). Does Assist offer a more granular control or finer tuning in comparison to the native Interruption settings? Is Assist not a replacement for the native Priority Mode, and it only acts as something that turns on Priority Mode (separate from the native Downtime setting)
Setting up Meeting Mode, will also turn on Priority Mode. Is the Auto-Reply feature still there? Same with the above point on whitelisting contacts/notification types.
Is this conflicting with Android's own/built-in settings in Settings > Sounds and notifications > Interruption. Particularly the type of notifications that are let through (Calls, Messages, Alarms), and which contacts are being let through? (None, Starred Contacts Only, Everyone)
I guess if you can upload screenshots/video how Assist looks in L, that would help answer some of the questions I have!
Thanks!
OK, sleep is the same as no calls (although, I seem to remember it will ring if a favourite calls you more than once in quick succession).
Meeting is none or favourites for auto reply.
Is it conflicting? No. Works fine.

HELP with Power Saving Profile

So I tried making a profile on my new S7E where if the battery goes to 20%-5%, then Tasker would
1) Enable Power Saving mode
2) Disable Keyboard Sounds (using Samsung Keyboard) since normal power saving does not do this
3) Turn Auto Brightness off and turn the brightness to 0
And if the battery goes to 5%-0% it would enable the Ultra Power Saving mode
But here's the tricky part: If I am charging the phone I want tasker to disable said tasks. I did manage to make the profiles but I could not link them so that they would disable as soon as I put the phone to a charger.
Also is there a way to enable Always on Display and set brightness to max (the latter I know how to do) while charging?
Thanks in advance!
Create another profile and trigger it with the power-charger. This profile disables the other profiles you've created. The exit task would be enabling the other tasks again.
When I create another profile it only allows me to link it with tasks. How do I link it to the profile?

Tasker -> profile state (set to on/off)
How are you controlling the AOD and power savings from tasker?

Question Background notifications

Does anyone else find background apps don't work on this phone? Is there some secret power saving Asus enforces?
I've disabled every power saving feature I can find but applications still won't receive messages in the background, I have to rotate thorough opening everything I care about and give it a chance to download messages. Or I can keep my s10e on me so to get notifications.
I don't have such problem.
