Hello.
I have galaxy note GT-N7000 with stock rom XLC1.
I purchased and installed Rom Manager Premium v5.0.0.6 from the market
and it seems that when I click on "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" it opens up a list of phone types and none of them is galaxy note.
I get the following list: galaxy S2, Epic4G, epic4G touch, galaxyS i9000, galaxy S2.
one time I tried to change build.properties file to galaxy I9000 (in order to try and install order & chaos from the market) which is listed on the phone brands but since them i flashed my rom and wiped it and re-installed the applications so I have no idea how the rom manager would still think that I have I9000.
any ideas?
you need to root the device and use a kernel that supports recovery..i dont think the version in the market supports the note
I already rooted my phone, installed cwm and abyssnote kernel manually. So I don't see a reason to why it looks like its not supported.

No ROM manager not supports G Note yet.
Flash cfroot for LC1, get CWM for the Note.

do you have any idea why is not supported, and if there is hope.

I am sure it will be supported. I rember when I got the Galaxy S and it was not supported for some time. Same with galaxy s 2. But we have perfectly working cwm thanks to chainfire.
You can use CWM Manager app for various things, including backups. It works perfectly on our Notes.

The only thing I can recall is that ROM Manager can theoretically update your CWM Recovery. Of course, since it doesn't recognize your Note, it can't.

Damn! I wish I had known this before paying out my £4 for something that does f**ck all on my Galaxy Note!
Too late for refund too due to stupid 15 minute trial by Google Play store.

Have patience friend, it will. In the mean time it is an easy way to do CWM updates. Go to cwm nightly in your browser and click the rom manager icon for the version you want to upgrade to and it will auto download and do its auto thing for installing just fine right now. it just cannot recognize the note for cwm recovery or using the download or check for updates. A bit more manual, I admit but it will get there and far easier than manually downloading transferring to phone and then rebooting into recovery to install. It took a while before it was able to fully automate my S2 so it will come to the N7000. I am in the same situation as I recently upgraded to the N7000.

Hey there, just sold my S4 for an S3 i9305 4G.
The ROM works great, except for the camera app crashing on launch.
When I dial *#34971539# all it says is CameraFirmware Standard, so I can't get the specific model of the camera hardware.
On Alliance ROM i was able to get the camera working, by flashing a stock kernel, going into the camera app, then flashing any custom
kernel and it worked from then on.
Unfortunately, The Galaxy Project is my ROM of choice, because it seems less buggy, but when I try the same trick, the ROM won't boot
with stock kernels...
How do I get the camera to work?
Help!!
i installed that ROM...for me didn't boot at all....(did full wipe and waited about 10 min)...
if you read the 2nd post from that kernel...CLICK HERE you will see that the developer says clearly that there is a bug with camera... and as you can see he lists there "Possible solutions"....those are not guaranteed to work...wait for him to find the bug...
i use OMNI ROM....camera works perfectly...
These solutions ARE guaranteed to work I have the same problem, so I just copied my SlimISP to external memory and use it if the bug occurs.
I just bought the S5 active and cannot find a rom that works with it. Do we have a list of roms anywhere that are for the S5 active? Or is there a mod for the current S5 roms to work with the active? I was really looking forward to the CM12, but when I tried it, I received an error that said the rom was a 'klte' rom not a 'klteattactive' rom.

Specifically looking for lollipop rom
You wont get a lollipop rom, only touchwiz kitkat.

OK, what is touchwiz? I thought it was just the Samsung launcher, like Sense is to HTC
I have a Verizon Galaxy S4 with a deodexed stock rom 4.4.2. I had a galaxy gear with null rom and it worked just fine with the gear manager. It broke so I picked up a gear 2 neo figuring it would work fine. So I tried connecting it and it just stays on the "connecting to gear" screen. I don't recall having issues with my first gear, so I'm confused. Does having a custom rom, even though it's practically stock, cause issues? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Roll back Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 T719 T719XXU1BRA1 from 7->6 - correct firmware advice
Hi,
Sorry for a noob question, just want to make sure I don't get this wrong as I've not reflashed a tablet before and I can't find an answer that specifically addresses this question.
My Samsung Galaxy TAB S2 8.0 T719 4G 32GB Qualcomm 3072 MB is running Android 7.0 and I have a must-use app that won't get along with anything above Android 6, so I need to downgrade.
The Baseband version of the tablet is T719XXU1BRA1.
I'm in the UK, the tablet has LTE, which I need, and it should be unlocked to all networks. It was supplied by Amazon UK but I suspect it's not a UK specific model.
I've searched for 6.x ROMs for this specific version, but cannot find one that exactly matches the model number and I'm not sure if any T719 version will do (eg I think some are network-specific or aren't for LTE-equipped versions).
I'd be happy using an official Samsung 6.x ROM if it'll retain app functions that are blocked by a rooted phone (my bank's app wont work on a rooted phone, for instance) but I'd really like one that gave me control to remove the bloatware and keep things clean, even if that meant sacrificing the bank app functionality.
Can anyone point me towards the specific ROM I should use for either route?
Thanks very much.
J
You can use any T719 rom, only old 6.0.1. available.
Choose from here, slow download but it works https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-s2/SM-T719/
It will be unbranded, all languages available for European roms( e.g Romania)
The only problem that can occur is the bootloader.
On newer Samsung devices it doesn't allow to downgrade.
You can try with Odin.

Shouldn't need to downgrade the bootloader as they are usually backwards compatible with the previous OS version.
Just flash AP.
As for root and apps refusing to work, Magisk hide can handle most of them.
