Device finds and pairs with other units but immediately drops connection.
Problem occurred after installation of app unified remote but persists after uninstall of app and factory reset.
Any suggestions ?

My car has built in bluetooth connectivity with 2 modes, telephone and media.
Both modes cannot be connected at the same time.
The telephone mode works fine, but the media player mode always fails to connect.
I've had no problems in the past with my SGS1.
I've tried resetting the profiles. I'm on the .350 stock rom but I've added root.
Not sure what I can do now to fix this.
I guess I could upgrade but I'm not sure if it would actually fix the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas?
BTW the car is a Toyota Prius.

Try repairing it with Sony's PC Companion or Sony's Update Service first.
Remember to backup your stuff before proceeding.
Do full wipes.
Update. The Bluetooth pairing with my car is still very buggy.
A quick google search reveals others are having issues too.
I hope Sony address this issue soon.
I'm not having problems with my Bluetooth unit in the car. It connects to both Phone and Media Server. (I have a Kenwood DNX unit)
So I'm still having problems.
The update to 4.2.2 did not help.
So I tried switching to CyanogenMod but the problem persists.
My other phone also running CM has no problems connecting to the telephone and media mode (Samsung Galaxy i9000) so it has to be something going wrong in this phone.
I'm out of ideas. Toyota say it's not a car fault as other phones connect fine.
New Toyotas have a system that's called Touch'n'Go and I managed to test this phone on that and both modes worked fine.
I guess there is an incompatibility between this phone and a perhaps slightly older Bluetooth module in the car. The car is from 2010.
Would be grateful for any ideas.

Hey guys,
My tmobile one wont auto connect to my cars stereo. It will pair but then it wont automatically connect when I turn the car on. Even when I force connection in the menu it sometimes wont connect and if it does it takes forever.
I have tried blue tooth auto connect from the play store and that doesn't really help.
This has been happening since I got the phone and have tried a variety of roms. My nexus 4 never had this issue.
Any way to fix it? Anyone have the same problem?
If anyone is curious I drive a Subaru WRX.
I have similar issue connecting to eclipse avn. I didn't have any issues before with defy and nexus s. Sometimes it connects fine though not sure where the problem is. Thanks

Try to update your bluetooth car stereo software if applicable. I had same problem with my Alpine Headset. Most likely, problem is your headset, not your phone.
I had this issue at one point. I had to factory reset the handset. After I did that, I repaired and it connected automatically from then on out.
I had this issue with my Blue&Me system in my car, and to fix it, I have to reset and delete my user profile on the car.
After, I re-pair my phone and everything is good to go. Strangely, I need to do that every time I reset my Bluetooth preferences in my phone. (from Rom updates, etc.)
Give it a try.
Is anyone else having problems with Bluetooth after the 5.1.1 update? Bluetooth crashes after about a minute when I connect to my car (2015 Mazda 3 - Mazda Connect Infotainment system). It will reconnect and disconnect again over and over. Once it crashed in the middle of a phone call. It dropped the call but then glitched the phone speaker settings. After I left my car and tried to make a call, there was no sound from the phone speaker. This was about 5 minutes after my phone had disconnected from my car and I was well out of range of any Bluetooth device. When I pressed the volume up, the Bluetooth volume increased instead of the speaker volume. This continued even after I turned Bluetooth off completely so I couldn't hear my calls. I had to reboot the phone for the speaker to work again.
I found a partial fix to this problem by going into the Bluetooth settings and under "Allow access to", selecting "Messages" to off. This prevents Bluetooth from crashing but also prevents me from getting texts to my car as well. I was able to get texts just fine before the 5.1.1 update.
Is anyone else having a similar problem and is there a fix? I have not rooted or installed any mods or custom roms to my phone. Bluetooth works fine with every other device I have connected to as well, but I haven't tried any other cars.
Here's what I have tried with no success:
- Unpairing and repairing on both my phone and car.
- Clearing Bluetooth application Data and cache.
- Wiping cache partition.
- Resetting car infotainment software to factory settings.
- Updating car infotainment software. I am now using the most current version 55.00.750B.
- Booting the phone in safe mode.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
I'm trying to connect with my bluetooth speaker (iHome) and now every time when I press the search for devices on my phone it crashes. I tried not turning on the bluetooth speaker to see if it would crash when it couldn't find anything to connect and it behaves normally - it says it couldn't find any device, but then I turn on the device and set it to discovery then the phone app crashes again.
I've tried clearing the data and cache to no avail. It still has my headphones when I go back to the app even after a restart and still can't connect.
Anyone have any solution for this?
If I have my bluetooth headset on when I get to work it then crashes several times in a row because it restarts then crashes again over and over until I just finally have to turn the darn thing off - this is a real hassle. : (
Thanks for any help
Does it work for sure? I read that it's a permanent problem and that maybe some apps are involved (like track Id)
(SOLVED!) 2,4ghz wifi interfeered with bluetooth. Changed to fixed channel instead of auto on router. Fixed the connection issue.
Hi! I've had issue with the Bluetooth on my tab s2 719 version as long as I can remember. It is not possible to stream music to various devices. Lose connection, and reconnects all the time. Since I don't use Bluetooth so much it's not that big problem. But I've sent it earlier in to mantaince and they concluded with no error. Even though I sent video of how the Bluetooth responds. Bluetooth app also crash on tablet. Now I'm wondering to send it in to them again. Lacking on ideas how to convince them that this is an error.
Anyone have the same issue?

This used to be an issue on my J3. Turning wifi off used to solve it until Samsung fixed it with a firmware update.
Ensure your device is fully up to date.
Thanks for reply. But it has not helped with all firmware updates/factory reset and network reset. Up to date with August security patch.
