Hi,
I have to create the file "edify_defs" to recognize the Z3C in it of dsixda Android Kitchen. Once the assembly of the Rom custom finished I obtain Udapter-script. But during the flash I always obtain an error status 7 when we arrive in the " format system "
Can use me to correct this problem? I joins you " the updater-script "
Syntax for your format command is wrong. Check the wiki ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Edify_script_language ) for the correct syntax.

When I open the file manager to create the heroc backup I type in /sdcard/recovery-ra-herocv.1.5.2.img and it says "backup failed: could not run command" ... why!??!
check the name on it...if you type in the wrong name and not exactly how it is it wont find it
Doing it exactly how I did it the first time and nothing...
/sdcard/recovery-ra-heroc > v < .1.5.2.img
maybe adding that v in there is your problem?
nope... didnt let me flash it but it didnt let me update to damagecontrol... now the other problem im having is adb wont work properly
Have you already flashed the Amon_RA's recovery image? Or are you trying to accomplish right now?

Shouldn't there be a "-" between heroc and v?
Also, what are you trying to accomplish with this command?
Of you' re trying to flash the image you're missing a few words, and if you've already flaked the image and are trying to make your backup then you're on the wrong path, you boot into the image and make backups from the ui, no typing involved...
So what's your goal? Let's get you backed up!
Let elimate the guess work and rename the file recov.img lots less typing.
I flashed already but deleted the img from my card
Hi all,
is it possibile to modify the content of the files fills with the content of the partitions read from the Tegra of my LG P990 with nvflash?
I had read the partition from the board with
Code:
nvflash -r --read <-partitionID-> my_partition.img
Unix's command file said to me that the output file is data:
Code:
$ file my_partition.img
my_partition.img: data
But if the correct img file is provided to 'file', for example the file that nvflash returned when we asked it to read the partition 23, the APP partition, 'file' said:
Code:
23_APP.img: Linux rev 1.0 ext4 filesystem data, UUID=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx (needs journal recovery) (extents) (large files)
How i can mount this type of image file ?
Easily with the 'mount' Linux utility
Code:
mount ./my_partition.img ./tmp_directory
Now, if I add the su binary of chains_dd compiled for my platform in the system partition image file and after,
reflash the image file on my O2X I should able to get root, right?
It seems too easy...
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Yes, it is "easy" like that. I made similar staff (extract partition image from official update, mount, extract selected files).
Edit: Only I remember that I need to specify mount parameters related to partition format and mounting access.
Have you really gain root access only by copyng (and launching ) su binary in xbin directory?

Y E S . . .
Indeed, if you only want a root prompt, chains_dd's binary is too much...

Hi, I saw some threads saying some stuff about the Huawei GT3, but they didnt helped me so Im posting this thread.
I have a huge Problem with my phone.
(Im a Newbie btw)
I wanted to root my phone so I installed TWRP and rebooted (TWRP works btw), now it said "Encryption unsuccessfull"
I looked up on YouTube to look how to fix this and ended up deleting my complete OS
Now I downloaded the Firmware of my Phone and looked how to install it with TWRP and ADB.
When I try to install the "update.zip" File with TWRP it says something like this :
[2017-11-14 08:00:21 623] E:unknown command [errno]
dload_format_userdata,line=527: dload_format_userdata ok!
script aborted: update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed
update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
I:Legacy property environment disabled.
I:Install took 0 second(s).
Error installing zip file '/data/update.zip'
I also tried to delete the "assert" parts in the updater-script file but it also didnt work.
Now I heard about the "dload" Method but I have some questions about that
1. Where is the dload folder exactly
2. When I try to move the folder cointaining the "update.zip" to as expample root It says not enough space on device (which Is not true) or something like this :
Running command: 'mv "/data/update.zip" "/root"'
mv: write error: No space left on device
mv "/data/update.zip" "/root" process ended with ERROR: 1
Do I maybe have the wrong ROM or something?
Please help me . (or try )
Check the dload guide in my signature. You will know everything. Let me know if any questions or doubts, will help. Dont worry twrp error is normal as these zips shouldn't be flashed with twrp

Hello to all. Sorry for my English, I do not speak it very well. I have a p8 lite 2017 and I'm trying to flash a stock firmware downloaded from firmware finder. My problem is this: when I try to flash 2 of the 3 files (update.zip, full.zip), the twrp gives me an error and in particular
Updating partition details ....

Full SELinux support is present.
MTP Enabled
Installing zip file '/external_sd/update.zip'
Cheking for MD5 file found .....
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
mountencrypt: failed to mount / data: No such file or directory
Removing unneeded files ...
Removing empty directorys ....
add link type file ...
write radio image ...
check_write_data_to_partition, write data error
E: UNKNOWN COMMAND (ERRNO) (in red)
update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed
UPDATER PROCESS ENDED WITH ERROR: 7
ERROR INSTALLING ZIP FILE '/EXTERNAL_SD/UPDATE.ZIP' (in red)

I can not solve the problem. I also changed twrp, but nothing has changed.
At the moment I can not turn on the phone because it is stopped on the screen "your device is booting ..."
I hope you can help me, I'm going crazy.
thank you so much

After having a soft-brick I followed this instructions:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8...ck-rom-huawei-prague-pra-xxxc432b182-t3727816
My phone is running without problems
I want to install new Roms on my phone.
I followed the guides in the forum and unlocked the bootloader, and installed TWRP. However, when I try to install the new roms like Resurrection Rom v6 or AospExtended v5.8 I get the following error:
Code:
E3004: This package is for device: titan, titan_umts, titan_udstv, titan_umtsd, titan_retaildsds, XT1068, XT1064, XT1063, XT1069; This device is .
[COLOR="Red"]Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/RR-o-V6.2.0-20180911-titan-Final.zip' .....[/COLOR]
I get a similar error for ASOP package too. except it complains about the bootloader:
Code:
E3004: This package supports booltloader(s): 0x4882, 0x4883,0x4886,0x4887; This device has bootloader
[COLOR="Red"]Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/RR-o-V6.2.0-20180911-titan-Final.zip' .....[/COLOR]
.
My device model is: XT1068
And in the fastboot screen it says: 48.86
I would appreciate it if someone could guide me on how to resolve the issue.

You should've searched on YouTube. Unzip your rom using winrar, I don't remember the path but you have to remove the first two assert lines of the script with notepad++ and save it back and rezip the ROM.
Search on YouTube "how to fix error 7 in twrp". And follow his steps.
I just replace the default bootloader version present in script with the bootloader version it gave the error and it works.
Edit.
Or for avoiding any errors after rezipping the ROM. Just open the ROM zip through winrar and navigate to the script directory and hold n drag it outside and then delete the script present in that zip file and after editing the script using notepad++ hold n drag it back to the same directory. This way you'll not have to unzip and rezip.
