Connecting to Phone via Bluetooth - LG G Watch R

For all who cannot connect G Watch R to phones, here is my guide to help:
1. Reset your android wear device.
------------------------------------------------------
2. When prompted, USE ANDROID WEAR(not bluetooth menu) to connect the Android device to your watch.
------------------------------------------------------
3. Make sure to say yes to the connection if it is indeed your two devices.
------------------------------------------------------
4. Boom, and whenever they cannot connect again or you get a new phone, repeat these steps.
Hope this helps the many of users having problems.(Included me at first) Please give me thanks if this helped you. Glad to help!

LG G Watch R can't pair with Lenovo Vibe X2

I have factory reset my watch to reconnect with a new Lenovo Vibe X2
The android wear app sees the phone and it is listed but when I click it fails to connect.
I am getting a message saying:
"Unable to pair with G Watch R 31B9. Incorrect PIN or password"
There is no way to enter any PIN since this should be automatically set by the Android wear app.
Any ideas?

Have you tried to reset/wipe the wear app on phone?

Yes, did a data wipe and a full uninstall and reinstall.
Try adb to watch
adb shell am start -a android.bluetooth.adapter.action.REQUEST_DISCOVERABLE
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
and see if it will allow you to connect this way
Here comes the Lollipop update review of Lenovo Vibe X2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YhDjUpwny0
The same thing happened to my with a Honor 3C that was previously paired with the watch and the cleaning data and then cache of Android Wear app in the phone solve the problem!
I had issues pairing with my Sony Xperia Z3 compact as well. Did a full reset of the watch without it helping. Had to turn off "stamina mode" which is a power saving feature on the phone to make the pairing work. Don't ask me why, but that helped me.
Last week i had the same problem (again), but this time after upgrading my Honor 3C! I try all the solutions I could find on the net, but none have solved... so after 2 days of trying everything (I even factory reset my phone and watch) I solved the problem... so you could try this!
1 - reset your watch;
2 - pair with other device (not your phone) like a tablet (I pair mine with my tablet);
3 - wait until the watch get set;
4 - go to the configuration menu on the watch and select bluetooth connection;
5 - put your phone bluetooth on and in visibility mode;
6 - wait until the watch find the phone and pair with him;
7 -with the phone and watch get paired, reset the phone;
8 - pair with the phone via android app!
I know that is a little confusing and with a lot of step, but in my case solved the problem since this way the phone received the correct pin from the watch, allowing for connecting with android wear app!

Update LG G Watch R Work phone issue

Hello, I recently got my dad a LG G Watch R, and it seems that his work phone does not allow data transfers over bluetooth. I was wondering if there was any other way to update the watch without using bluetooth, or if it's possible to update the watch with my phone, and then transfer the watch back to his phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I would hate to have to return the watch because of technical difficulties.

If the work phone does not allow data transfer over Bluetooth, then why are you attempting to connect the watch to the phone? Without Bluetooth, the watch won't work as intended unless you connect it to WiFi which requires a Bluetooth connection to initiate it anyway.

CanĀ“t connect Android Auto to my Moto X Force (Droid Turbo 2 in the US)

Hi I have some issues connecting my Moto X Force ( which is the same cellphone as the Droid Turbo 2 that Verizon sells in the US). I previously had a Nexus 6 and connected it to a Honda Civic 2016 model without any issues. Yesterday I bought a Moto X Force and to my surprise I just couldn't connect to Android Auto.
I am running android 6.0 so it should be compatible with my cellphone but for some reason it tells me that my device isn't compatible.
First the phone tells me that I need to download some apps ( which I already have downloaded), after I press "Accept" it tells me the following:
"Your device isn't compatible with this version"
Then after pressing OK I get a screen that says something went wrong, that I need to download android auto, google maps, google play and the google app. Even when I have already downloaded all of them!
I've tried deleting and reinstalling the android auto app, resetting my stereo head unit and even enabled the USB debugging mode, but so far everything has been useless.
Any one else has the same issue I do?
I would appreciate very much your suggestions on how to solve this problem, thank you!
Make sure you use the original USB cable that came with the phone and have Bluetooth enabled. Android Auto works fine on my Moto X Pure with Android 6.0.

I already tried this before making this post, but thanks for the suggestion! The moto X pure works because it runs a pure version of Android.
Did you try doing a factory restore on the phone? Wouldn't hurt to try.

The debugging mode is enabled in this device and adb mode is working, windows 10 op.system runs in my computer and newest google drivers are on it. Everything is ready that two device will connect. When i connect the device to the usb cable, nothing happened.

Hi!
I carried my watch in the LG central service. I said the assistant that the watch was working, i can pair it with the phone, almost everything was good except i can't pair it with the computer. The computer can't see the watch.
The assistant said that the mainboard of the watch was wrong, despite of he didn't investigate the watch, because i used LeeDroid rom it messed up the watch.
Is it possible?

Pairing watch with 2 devices

Ok, I have a question which probably wasn't asked for a while, as aerlink wasn't updated for a while, but maybe someone can still help me.
My wife has an android tab, an iPhone and a zenwatch 3. Android wear 2 standalone apps don't really cut it, so I tried to connect the watch via the old aerlink way, so she can have apps via the tab and her messages from the phone.
This solution doesn't work and I was ready to blame it on aerlink not being supported on aw 2. Out of fun, I still tried the same with my huawei watch 2 and here it works perfectly. Why is that the case?
For the facts: Tablet is on Android 6, iPhone 7 on 11.1. Huawei and Zen watch are both on 2.7 or Android 7.1.1 and the only difference is the security patch (Huawei is newer). Aerlink fails to connect to the iPhone from the zenwatch (constantly changes from connecting to disconnected) , while with Huawei it works directly.
Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason why it works on one aw2 watch and on the second not? Is there any alternative to use, which has the same effect? Thanks in advance.
