Hey guys,
I installed rom of wm 6.1. Now I commute a lot and I used to hook up my phone with the bluetooth enabled sterio in my car, after installing this new rom I'm having problems using the bluetooth. I'd manage to pair it with my sterio but if I end a call it would drop the bluetooth connectivity with the sterio. Sometimes it wont even connect to the sterio/ not detect it. The rom already has bluetooth explorer(which I'm not familiar with). Any ideas suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Recently bought Nexus S and updated it to 2.3.3. I have Kenwood KDC-x994 in my car ( Bluetooth v 2.1 with latest firmware 3.12). With previous winmobile 6 on HP Ipaq rw6815 (bluetooth v 1.2) and this radio everything worked pretty much acceptable (call, contacts transfer)
With Nexus S just calls do, but contacts transfer did not occur.
Did anybody have such kind of problems and have an idea how to fixit ?

I've had 3 Android phones, Nexus One, Galaxy S and now Nexus S, none of them transfer contacts, and only the recent 2.3.3 update fixed the bluetooth calling with my BMW bluetooth.
Thanks for the info. Do you know any places where I can find info about bluetooth android and contacts transfer?
Thank you
Everything is working now and I can see contact names on my radio's panel. The problem is that I did not pay attention on that car radio each time it connects to nexus s send 2 PABP request. After confirmation of these request contact names appear on car radio panel

i just bought and am awaiting that cd player in the mail... do you like it ? does it sound good?
Contacts transfer and everything else works accordingly with SYNC so no issue there. I have had it disconnect while playing Bluetooth audio though...anyone else experience this?

I also own that head unit (Kenwood KDC-X994) and use it with my Nexus S. I've been very pleased with it. The head unit has good audio quality and has worked perfectly with my Nexus S. I've had the Kenwood unit for a couple years now, and it's worked well with a bunch of different Android phones I've owned during that time period. Some ROMs had issues though with brief "hiccups" occurring during audio streaming over A2DP from my phone to the head unit.
But both the Motorola Atrix and Nexus S have worked flawlessly with it (but I'm not running custom ROMs on either of those phones).
Also, if you use the music app Poweramp, it has a feature in the settings for Bluetooth connectivity that will start automatically playing music when your phone connects via Bluetooth, and I absolutely love this feature! Saves me from having to press the "Play" button on my head unit when I start my car.

I have not had this problem and use the Bluetooth A2DP every day. I am still running 2.3.2 though.
bluetooth and sub woofer
My car audio installation contains power amp and subwoofer. What I have admitted that when you use bluetooth as a source the power subwoofer does not work. Any ideas ?
I just have a quick question.. and hopefully the answer is quick as well..
I have a Galaxy Note 4 and a Dell XPS 13 early 2015 model. Both have bluetooth so I thought I would use the laptop speakers as speakers for the note 4, but when I paired the devices up, there's no settings for audio...
All I can do is transfer files and like remotely control the note 4 with my computer.
Does anyone have a solution to this? Based on the google research I did regarding my problem, it seems like it is possible, and rather simple. Am I missing a driver or something?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
tried the same thing with my M4800 and nothing worked. I guess the laptop is missing the profile to act as a bluetooth speaker.
I'm am haveing an issue with bleutooth pairing on android 6.0. It worked fine on lollipop but now the device won't connect when I select it to pair. Just hangs and message appears stating it was unable to connect.
Any help would be much appreciated.
try to switch on your gps then try to pair

Okay, so first things first:
My device is running OOS 3.5.4 and is rooted.
The issue I'm facing is that when I connect my 3T to my car (Hyundai Verna 2016 if it's necessary) via Bluetooth, the phone starts spazzing out and lagging like crazy until I switch off the Bluetooth. Also, when I try to play music from Spotify, it plays but no audio is heard from the car's system. I am 100% sure it's not my car's fault because my other phone (Asus Zenfone 5) connected just fine and played music from Spotify with ease. I'm extremely clueless as in what could cause this issue. Can my fellow XDA buddies help me out on this one? Any help is greatly appreciated!

why aren't you running the latest version of oxygen os? 4.1.3?
You say you are using OxygenOS 3.5.4 and you are rooted. This makes me believe you are doing it because 6.0 is more "mod friendly", and you are probably using Xposed and/or Viper.
VIPER4ANDROID is known to cause the exact same behavior that you mentioned. Probably easiest to flash a custom ROM with it already built in like Freedom OS or Audax.
Update your ROM
You need to be running an updated version of OOS. There have been many fixes and improvements to Bluetooth connection and reliability and I haven't had any of the issues you describe. Below is the list of Bluetooth connections I make on a weekly basis and I haven't had any problems running OOS 4.1.1 and 4.1.3:
1. VW car stereo (phone and audio streaming)
2. Nissan car stereo (phone only)
3. Panasonic home phone system
4. Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset
5. Dell laptop computer (data transfer)
6. Sony portable speaker
