I am thinking about purchasing a flip case for the Xperia Z3 Compact, but I wonder if the hard plastic which holds the phone inside the case will scratch the phone?

Has anyone got the full body shield for your X1? Just I think the X1 is quite a stretchable phone compares to many others I have used, so am thinking of buying a full body shield, good idea? What do you used to protect your X1?
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
Here is the link
PS I have of course got a screen protector already.
One of the things that distingiush the X1 from other smartphones is beautiful, original design combined with a solid, lasting structure - at least that's what I've experienced so far . So putting it in some kind of bodyshield would be kinda like hiding a piece of art in a safe just cause it's valuable - it misses the point completely.
That's just my opinion though.
EDIT: I just use a screen protection myself, but different from Invisible Shield - it's made of polycarbonate and honestly it workes great for me.
a sock
no screen protction
i use a sock too
i got a body protector from ebay that never scratches or peels it cost me $20 but it was worth it
I'm thinking of those plastic/rubbery shields with designs for additional protection. and it will hide those unslightly marks. Do you think its worth it? anyone tried it? Saw a store offering it for $35-40, they'll be the one to fit it in
I tried a variety of 2-piece protectors, hard plastic, silicone, thicker flexible plastic... I wouldn't bother. The silicone ones would come apart as the phone came out of the pocket, the hard plastic felt ugly (& didn't protect much - if the phone fell, the pieces would pop off with the impact)
So, don't go there... use a clear screen protector, NOT a Zagg-style one, though the Zagg body is a good idea. With hindsight, I would have used a body shield like that.
There are cheaper alternatives to Zagg, but check build quality first
$24.99 for a slip of thin 'plastic'?? (or whatever material its made out of)
...Wow. I think a more suitable and affordable price for a screen protector would be ~ $15.00. But quite interesting to see this
Unfortunately, I did not protect my X1 as I should have. Ordered a genuine leather pouch, but no screen protector. Ordered a black housing, but I really dont trust myself opening it. Opening a cell phone compared to a PSP to change the housing is quite different..
I got one of those cheap "netbook protectors" ($2) from a local store. Cut it out to shape for the battery cover which is pretty much what is scratch prone for my phone. By the way, my phone is originally black but it the paint is scratched I decided to remove all of them. I used a dish scouring pad (the plastic one NOT steel wool or something) to slowly scrape off the paint without removing the XPERIA print Now it's gunmetal colored + glossy because of the transparent "skin".
Xperia protection
I've tried em all. True. Those two piece units, whether silicon or plastic make the phone too bulky and don't stay on worth a damn. I switched to adhesive skins to protect the casing from scratches to increase resale value. It is pretty much always in a leather pouch or in a holder on my dashboard when using as GPS. (Also good protection: a large rottweiler.)
Where to buy an X1 Screen Protector? I don't see it in Phone Stores too bad.

you should be able to get one in any mobile accessory shop. however, if you are worried if the sensitivity of your touch screen will be affected, head down to a sony ericsson dealer and they should be able to hook you up with a decent one.
in fairness, 2 years with the phone, ive never used a screen protector, and used daily...and i dont hv a scratch on my screen, despite hundreds of drops on everything from tarred roads to timber floor. however a couple dollars wouldnt hurt ur pocket if u wanna get one.
i use the invisible shield the first post shows =) best i think
Although the feel of a rubbercoating is good in your hand, it'll usually mean the rubber starts to wear of after a few months of usage.
I've had multiple phones with rubberized backs (all HTC) and all but one started to lose it's coating after like a year of usage. It would as always start in the corners and then spread across the whole bottom/top of the phone. Only my current one (Desire Z) is still without wear. Although i'm not sure if thats actually a rubber coating but it feels antislip and rubbery.
What are your thoughts about the rubber coating on the Xperia T?
Mine will be protected by a thin gel case so won't wear at all!
Indeed, for a measly 2.99 on eBay delivered, crazy not to get a case, particularly if you are likely to drop it as inevitably I will.
Even if you don't want a case you can just get a clear body skin if you're worried about it
Is there a protective screen cover for the Sony Xperia z3 Tablet Compact similar to the iPad Smart cover, in that it only covers the screen of the tablet and doesn't have a molded or fitted back protector to it?

I've had the official Sony style case for a year and it's been okay. Probably doubles the weight of the tablet and it only grips the. Tablet on the corners. One of the corners has swapped off and I need a new case. The ISVO case seems to be the next most popular case. It's also a tenner cheaper than the Sony one. Can anyone compare it's quality and weight to the Sony case? Or give any comments on it's quality?
Thanks very much.
Andy
I bought this case and it lasted a week before the corner snapped off and I returned it (no I didn't drop it). I decided to buy a silicon/rubber case to replace it and bought the Poetic case, which I'm pleased with.
On the positive side, the infrared port is easier to use on this case than the Sony because the flap on the Sony gets in the way. Also, it looks better than the Sony, fits the tablet well, doesn't need a flap to hold it shut and the automatic sleep/wake works well. It's obviously not real leather, but it would probably be thicker and more expensive if it was. The problem is the plastic it's made of. It's very brittle: unlike the Sony case and that is probably why the corner snapped off mine so quickly. The case works okay as a stand, but you have to place the magnetic parts in a triangle very precisely otherwise it just falls flat, the Sony case worked better as a stand than this one.
A year later and the poetic rubber case is still going strong. I'm loving it. I also bought a cheap Sony case on ebay for when I'm out of the house as it protects the screen.

Hi!
I have read the other threads in regards of cases and screen protectors.
I am clumsy as hell, and I have broken more screens than I dear to acknowledge. Therefore I need the best of the best in cases and screen protectors; to make sure I can have my phone for loooong this time.
In regards of rugged and safe cases; which one is the best? I am thinking about:
Spigen Rugged armour
Amour - X XPERIA XZ1 COMPACT SHOCKPROOF PROTECTIVE CASE
Olixar ArmourDillo
DEVILCASE
(maybe: AVIDET Shock-Absorption and Anti-Scratch PC+TPU Back Case Cover for Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, Nillkin Frosted Shield)
In terms of screen protector:
DEVILCASE CURVED Glass Protector for SONY
Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact - Full Cover Tempered Glass
(Maybe: Olixar Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Full Cover Glass Screen Protector; Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Screen Protector,SMTRĀ® ; Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Screen Protector, Beyeah Full Coverage Tempered Glass Screen Protector).
Which ones would you recommend, and which fit best together?
Looking for:
Protection against drops
Needs to keep the phone functional
I've also read comments about heat and having cases that dissipates heat.
If it looks cool, that is a plus. If it isn't that bulky, that is a plus too, but safety over aesthetics.
Spigen doesn't offer their Rugged Armor for the Compact.
I have DevilCase and i can say it protects phone very good and the black one is just amazing

Sounds good! It looks really nice. What about the screen? Do you use any extra?
