Hello expets,
I'd love to play from Sony Z3c Walkam app my songs, but I use to set then in my exteral SD.
How can I tell Sony Walkman app to read my files from there?
Thanks a lot
Enrico
Mine read it automatically. Your SD card is OK?

SOLVED
1. Go to sdcard1 (memory card), check for folder named "media", if not there create one careful but case sensitive.
2. Then create another folder inside media folder named "audio" case sensitive.
3. Now finally move or put all your favorite songs directly into the folder created named "audio".
i just stuck my music files into a folder called "Music" and transferred that folder to the microSD -- Walkman app picked up all the files there, no prob.
also downloaded some podcasts, and the app found them in the "download" folder too.

Hello, everybody. I Installed new ROM on my SGM - MIUI GingerBread Latest release (stable). At first - everything was ok. But after while - I noticed, that there is no music in my music player. At first - I checked whole my SD card and removed ALL .nomedia files. I still can't find my music. Then I tried other music player - Winamp - still nothing.
I don't know, what to do! I have about 100 songs in my phone, but I can't find it via music player, but I can play these songs, when I'am playing it via Root Explorer.
P.S. I can see all my photos, that are in my SD Card, also some photos are in the same folder as music and I can find only photos. On root explorer I see everything.
I hope you understood and now you are ready to help me, because I can't live without music.
Sorry for poor English.

Try going to settings and unmount sd card... Then put off the card from the phone and then put back the memory card once you did that reboot your phone so at the boot it will reload your memory card hope it works... I had the same problem...solved in this way

try your sd card in another device...if it find music so just re flash your miui
I had the same problem.. i could only see d sound files of Grand prix live game.. i deleted that foler and then i could see all my songs in d music player which were already in the sd card.. u shud delete those music files which are visible in the music player..
What I did is just put the mp3 files to sdcard/MIUI/music/mp3. And it worked Strange, but this worked for me.
go to development setting in phone setting
in develpment setting -->media scanner-->come back when scanning is finished..
I got the same error. Tried all above ways... Nothing. But unlike you all i was using JB not miui
Hey guys the solution is simple just open the folder with your songs and delete the .nomedia file cause that hides everything in that folder from media scan
Do thank if I helped....

Use smartflash tool and reflash ROM
I got the solution for it.
I backup up all data to PC...
Formatted the SD Card
Recopied only data what i need in SD Card
Worked like charm...no need to flash ROM
I have the same problem before, it is caused by a file on sdcard card ".nomedia", delete the file, problem solved! (I still don't know what make this file, but the file is used to stop the phone scan media files on that folder)

thanks for the useful info
Some bug on rom manager made the file .nomedia if you update it will get erased. Also if you use airdroid secure connection, you'll lose your files until you reconnect to airdroid unsecure.

Funny. This happened to me like...ten minutes ago, after plugging the phone to the computer.
I also found that file on my SD Card root and deleted it (didn't even read this thread, but i didn't like its name, so I tried xD ).
The gallery and also music player weren't able to find any media files.
Fixed, now
Saw a similar post in the Samsung section, but playlists still downloads on the internal and not the SD.
Any working solution for Xperia on that topic?
Heres the link to the other thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1984322
I used that method on my Xperia Z, and it worked absolutely fine.
And you watched the storage bar decrease on the card, and not the phone?
When you entered the path in Spotify, did it say storage/sdcard0 ?
I also looked for any Spotify file under /android, but couldnt find any...
Yeah the storage bar on my sdcard decreased. At first it said storage/sdcard0, and so I changed it to sdcard1.
Got it now, changing to sdcard1did it, but i had to reboot first...
Thanks mate!!!

Thois method will work you just have to change the location on the old spotify app from /storage/sdcard0 to /storage/sdcard1 OR you can use /mnt/ext_card ether on works
Didnt have to change any location, just replace path sdcard0 with sdcard1
Hello all.
I can't get the walkman app to show any of my music from my ext SDcard. The app just shows the 6 default sony songs from internal/music.
When I put the MP3s in the internal/music with the other 6 files nothing happens.
What I tried:
- Reboot
- Clear data/cache on walkman
- Clear data/cache on media storage
- Check for .nomedia (not there)
- Unmount/remount SD card
Any ideas?
Thanks
edit: nvm, it took almost 30min for the songs to show up after clearing data/cache/remount

Well after loads of trial and errors, music uploaded on my memory card wont show on walkman unless synced via usb on to the internal memory and then I have to cut and paste it all in to my memory card using file manager, is this normal??
just bought 16GB, i notice dat bluetooth recieved files, whatsapp recieved files, & tha likes doesnt save on my memory card (sdcard1), dey save directly to mass storage (sdcard0). is there a way i can make dem save on memory card (sdcard1) instead of sdcard0.
Thanks!
No, just move all your music , photos , videos to your SD card.

This is normal
Android always seek first mounted storage memory, in this case, sdcard0 for store any files first
After that, you can move it to another directory
You can do nothing for this behaviour, except you change OS system behaviour itself
