Hello.
Recently bought Sbh-20 Bluetooth headphones (which is amazing for 30$) and I ran into trouble with it.
Volume step 1 is too quiet and step 2 too loud. I have searched on the Internet but haven't found any solution.
I have unlocked my bl and rooted my phone. Downloaded xposed and some modules.
Installed Viper4android, gravitybox, volumesteps+... Nothing work.
I don't want to decrease gain with viper since some of my movies' sound are extremely low and require max volume.
These modules works indeed for everything but Bluetooth.
Any help appreciated, thank you.

Hello everyone, I recently owner of xperia z and I have a problem.
I unlocked bootloader and with a stock rom changed, but the sound in the headphones is too low.
I then used viper4Android, FauxSound and others, but when I pick up the sound too, a headset stops working, or goes in spurts .. and the audio is mono.
I don't know if i've explained right.
When i get the audio loud, the right headphone stutter or stop working.
Tried many kernels, audio mod and headphones.
nothing to do.
PLEASE help me if you can.
Thank you very much.
Hi,
there is a way or settings to raise the volume of this phone ?
Both headphones and speaker have low volume.
If someone has a solution, please write it down.
Thanks.

If you have rooted your phone and found out a way to change the SELinux to permissive (I suggest using this and putting it through terminal emulator), you should use Viper4Android to somewhat amplify the speakers and greatly increase the volume threshold for headphones. Best of luck if you try this.

Hi,
I have already installed Viper4Android, but it does not amplify much the volume, neither in the speaker, neither in headphones, it changes a bit the quality, but it does not raise the volume as I wish...
Thanks anyway for the answer.

Did you try setting the UI to expert and adjusting the playback gain control in the headset settings?

Thanks 4 answer me.
Hey guys.
I'm new to Huawei devices, this is my first, but on my previous phones (LGs and Samsungs) I could edit mixer_paths.xml for an increase of volume. I have root already, but I couldn't find that file or any similar to modify... Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?
A little up, maybe someone comes up with another idea? Still would need help with increasing volume, please
Hello to everybody,
i thought i should share my unsuccessful attempts of getting more headphone volume with the P9 plus with you.
After recognising that it seems there is no software solution at the moment i ordered several different
headsets with a higher sensitivity than my former used.
The headphones i used during the last few years where really cheap ones which should have 95/96 SPL/V.
I informed a little and learned that every 10 SPL/V more gives you the impression of twice as much volume.
Next i bought the KZ ATE wich are stated to have 118 SPL/V and thought: nice i can kill my ears fast now...
I tried them and did not get any improvement at all. In my opinion they don't sound better and they are also not
playing louder. OK, cheap china-in ear, lets try another...
Now i bought the Sennheiser cx 2.00i which are more than three times the price and a well known brand. They are stated to have 119 SPL/V.
What should i say? They are not playing any significant louder.
There are even inears with 125 SPL/V but at the moment i don't think this will change anything.
Do i miss something?
Do you have a solution in the meantime?
best regards,
Henning
SPL has to do with the maximum decibels provided by the headphones, BUT did you look at how many ohms the headphones have? The impedance (measured in ohma) determines the power needed to.. Well, to power those speakers inside your headphones
As fat as I know, most phones can only give a decent enough power to 16 and 32ohm headphones, and not to anything above that...
I miss my LG and Samsung days... It was so easy to just modify the mixer_paths.xml files to get higher volume
I had note 3 with viper4android. The sound was great.
When I bought Note 8 first impression that the sound processor has no ... power and with loud music distorts sound.
I am asking for an opinion - is it worth installing Viper4android on Note 8? There is a big difference in sound compared to stock.
Yes. major difference

Is root needed?
Yes.
Hi folks....got my Note 8 all rooted and working on the customizing and such. Of course one of the key reasons for root is for ViperFX which I've used for years and love!
I had no problems installing Viper by following the instructions in some other thread in spite of Flash Fire no longer working...all the buttons work and such...at least so it seems.
It's certainly louder and maybe clearer...but I can't definitely tell if it's on or off!!...Does one turn it on or off via that Master Power switch within it? Is it permanently on?
Thanks for the help
I just installed Viper4Android along with Dolby. Sound is definitely far louder and better.
However, with my high end earphones, I am unable to get decent sound.
Can you gurus please share your Viper4Android ''heatset'' settings? Thanks1!
I would rather look for IRS or convolvers, there are plenty of them, you surely will find one of your liking

Do you mean speaker is louder (not earpiece)? I tried V4A by itself and it made marginal difference
I just couldn't get v4A to work at all. Kept saying drivers not installed.
I just modified the mixer_gains.xml to change the headphone volume and now they are super loud and perfectly clear. V4A not required at all

I had issues at first getting Viper4Android working. Are you rooted with SuperSU or Magisk? If possible, root using Magisk as it is far easier to get Viper4Android to work.
Using Magisk, download and install the Viper4Android module, activate and reboot. Job done.
I do have Magisk and TWRP installed but it just wouldn't work.
You guys can try my profile if you want, just put the items in the correct folders and load it up
It has the perfect balance of what I like
P.S the convolved is optional, for me it just makes it sound a little bit more clearer by using the original sound driver
Hi guys, today I'm reporting this bug. I've done a full wipe and re-installed latest Beta on Mi8, but the sound is very low on BT compared to past days. I've to set audio to max to listen well.
I've tried PaMu Scroll, SoundCore Liberty Lite and a BT speaker, too. Definitevely not a BT devices fault.
Also tried to edit mixer_paths_tavil to 94 from default 82, but sounds the same.
What's wrong with it? Because my friend, same ROM and device, works well as me before.
I tried Ainur Mod, V4A Boost etc. to improve, but without success.
I have a sony z3c with a broken microphone. So I thought, I can use this great phone as an music-, podcast- and audiobook-player. Just ike the Sony NW A100.
But when I connect a bluetooth speaker or headphone to that device there are only 15 steps to increase or decrease the volume. And the lowest volume possible is way to loud to listen podcast late at night on my JBL go 1 or 2. Also the volumechange between two steps is to heavy.
Normaly I use my Samsung Galaxy S8 to play audiofiles. There are also only 15 Steps to change the volume. But I can change “media volume sync” in the bluetooth advanced settings to change the volume of the smartphone and the speaker separately, which fixed my problem. On some sony smartphones in the developer options you can toggle "Disable absolut volume", but on my z3c this option is nowhere to be found.
But that’s not possible on the z3c. I tried apps like “Precise Volume“, some tweaks in the Xposed framework and ViPER4Android. Even some custom rom. But nothing worked.
With some tweaks or ViPER4 Android I could get the volume lower (by reduce the output gain or lover all frequencies in the EQ). But then, when I change the volume, sometimes 2 or 3 steps remain on the same volume.
Does any of you have any Idea how to help my with my problem? It’s been two month now, that I tried everything to fix it, but till today, I don’t found any solution...
idk exactly, but maybe you can take this a hint for furter research on that topic:
