After the latest update, i found the z3 more laggy and not responsive as the older version.
And double tap to wake it's not that responsive too, Am I the only one feeling this problem?

I found the new update more responsive and snappy. Also my tap2wake issue seems to have fixed itself after changing the no name sd card to an uhs type sdcard from sony but any known brand should work

This guy.
I also had problems with tap to wake but now I have non. I did absolutely nothing (maybe rebooted a few times or charged zero to full - nothing special) and it works like it should.

So you have touch screen issues, what's the problem? Go for replacement.

Then revert it back to 4.3 an see if the problem persist. It's the first time I heard about touch issues with the latest FW. I had some problems on .290 but after .136 they gone, but still not Perfect.

I heard about that time ago. The speed cursor have nothing to do with the Touch Screen so in your case is just placebo. I think you should try to calibrate the screen but you have to be rooted.
Do you have a method of installing a full Root
As we all note kitkat has been out for 2 days
My quick impression is that it isn't good
LAAAAAG in launcher (Not Lockscreen nor apps) (GPU Rendering isn'T very effective)
Battery is being killed
Camera seems to worse in low light condition (Will post an comparason later) and slower
No update for the stock apps (Xperia blog has those)
Post your Impressions below How do you feel
Update:In NUT's recovery don't enter TeamWinRecovery for me it caused an refuse boot
had to connect in download mode (Without flashing anything)
Opening PhilzTouch recovery and booted from there to system
I find it quite responsive after the initial lag in the settings menu and bad battery life.
What's really annoying me though is that I can't find a tweak which enables expanded desktop properly. Despite KitKat apparently natively supporting expanded desktop mode, Gravity Box for some reason doesn't want to work properly. It worked perfectly in 4.2.2. So I'm hoping someone can make a working version.
Another test
if you use the voice message of FB Messenger your mic gets locked
and you will have to restart your Phone to make it work
i've had kit kat for two days now on my xperia zr no root, locked bootloader. I have no lags, everything works quick just like 4,3. The only issue is that google play services drains battery like crazy (at this very moment is on 87% on battery use ) :/
There is an xposed mod
Called Force imersive mode try it

What Rom? I am thinking of switching ?
Carbon or BeanStack ?
kitkat
I don't see/feel any problems on my C5503
running smooth
Any Major difference in terms of functionality between 4.4 and 4.3 except the Theme Color? If not I'll stick with 4.3 itself:victory:.
Also Please provide the Walkman, Gallery and Movies APP Version in 4.4
I'm kinda surprised with all ur reviews here coz I don't have any lag issues whatsoever.
I'm using a prerooted version of .230 on my C5502.
The phone is responsive, I got a decent antutu score of around 21225 and the battery barely drains.. I had a perfectly flat battery graph for abt 4 n a half hours (of course I wasn't using the phone but that also means it's going into the appropriate power mode effectively). And even when I was using it, I got a decent full day of use out of it.

Carbon is good but Mokee is officially supported and offers much better functions IMO eg. split screen screen recording and awesome handy shortcuts from the recents menu... i am using stock 4.4.2 sony for now but i am already missing Mokee..
in any case if you want to move back to cm/asop/akop i would recommend Mokee but don't get me wrong i still love Carbon Rom.
I think i'm getting 20% less battery time on sony kk

I noticed lag and heating issues at first install but if you leave it for a while it seems like it fixes itself.. I would say it uses about 20% more battery than maybe a cm rom..
At first I thought that being with my own home made rooted version was the cause of the lag. In the z forum I read about wiping data and factory reset and also reboot a couple of times. I have to say that the lag is gone. I like the Kitkat version so far. I even made it deodexed and put z2 app in the app folder even that works. So if you can find the new updated apps it is possible to get them working.

I Reflashed with Flashtool With Wipe Data
and then a system restore Everything is fine now (Even without touching GPU rendering)
early morning rant
How do I feel?
Honestly, as free beta tester for Google that's how.
I'm not even considering updating to stock KK, yet. Would rather move to some fine working custom ROM like Carbon (need to check first if VPN is working) or CM.
- It used to be, flash stock, one-touch root and voila.
- Now, it's TA backup, BL unlock/relock, flash, recovery, flash, flash, tweak this, mod that, xposed, gpu render, battery drain, oh lag, oh camera is slower, oh more emoticons, OH COME ON!!
I know it's not Sony fault but those hipsters from Google.
With killing external SD support, at the end and in the future, it smells that stock Android will work flawlessly ONLY on Google hardware. That's a pure BS.
You mean Mobiles with no SD card*
Yeah, basically all Nexuses, mob/tab. Good read here
I think it helps to keep product life cycle short. The Apple philosophy.
Okay, after a few days use I'm getting major lag when unlocking the phone. When I input my pattern, the phone responds with the vibrations like 3 seconds later, and THEN it unlocks. After that it's completely fine, and feels a lot snappier than 4.2.2. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Mine is great here
I have pattern and unlock it is very fast. no lag at all.
My phone 5502 is working flawlessly. No lag and no battery drain. didn't want to root so i don't risk loosing my apps and data. i upgrade directly by flashing an ftf file over 4.3 with flashtool and no wipe.
Just got the update.

No, I got the update about an hour ago and I've been through everything and can't find a single change. Must be bug fixes.
The problem with paid for apps not loading is still there so it's not even a fix for that.
Swiping between cards seems a bit more responsive since the update.

the paid apps workaround right now is something that needs to be done on the developer side.
Nope, only thing I noticed is that the 'light analogue' watchface now seems to have disappeared!
Recently when I unlock my phone using the fingerprint sensor, it lags(the screen lights up after about 2 seconds), does anyone else have the same problem?
yup, experienced it lately, no new app installed since this thingy appeared and dont have the cpu stuck bug. Yet I have the superslow mmc bug, I've heard of a batch of A1's (yes, one) mmc fail completely after one year. Considering the fact that the bug is there after a gazilion updates and even showing up on pie, I call dibs on first sign of failure of mmc, but who knows this phone is full of surprise, one thing is for sure, the phone had less bugs in the first moth after release than now ... great job xiaomi I hope the budget pixel release is near ...
Had the same symptoms. I've just rooted so had to do a factory reset and now everything's fine... Installed Trimmer app for easy fstrim and would you look at that, it trimmed 34GB. My bet is that the system just doesn't call fstrim... We'll see
Same problem it take too much time to wake up
Have any of you updated to the new version? Is it stable now? Does everything work fine?
A month ago I got a prompt to update to the then new android12 update but a lot of things were broken. Some apps I need(like nubank) wouldn't open for no apparent reason and the system was overall less responsive. Not to mention the NFC function was removed for no reason.
I had to go through the process of downgrading using a tutorial in this forum because the rollback package they provided was for the indian variant, so I'd rather know for sure that everything is OK before I update again
I don't know if this is any help, but I've updated to c.06 in the past without it breaking anything. I've updated to c.07 now, and it seems stable to me personally.
maybe try a factory reset before updating? I haven't done that myself btw

Hi, thanks for your response. Did you notice any drop in performance or battery life after you updated? Any problems with fingerprint, nfc, etc?

No prob. Performance has been very snappy so far. Battery is holding up great and charges as fast as before. Fingerprint en nfc are working fine.
The only annoying thing I've noticed (but maybe that's an Android 12 thing) is that the option for usb-tethering is missing from the pop-up screen when I plug my phone into my laptop. So I have to go into the settings screen to turn it on.

Coming back to report that I've updated, and while everything seems to be working fine I have noticed a drop in battery life which is quite annoying. Otherwise the rom runs smoothly and I've only noticed a small bug which sometimes prevents me from swiping up to close apps on the recent apps screen
in Realme 3.0 C.07 HDR10 Support removed for no reason.
Hello,
I also can confirm that "Allways On" is missing options on this new update...
C7 seems to be very more unstable than C6...
There is a new version out TODAY.... C08.
Best Regards,
LPC
C.07 was buggy. C.08 is even more buggy.
C.08 bugs:-
Device hangs alot.Battery draining more. Many apps aren't responding well (ex- YouTube etc.) C.06 has HDR but it even not available in C.08.
I will downgrade it to rui 2.0
Almost all alarm clock and notification apps stopped working reliably - missing alarms all the time
