Debranding Xperia T

OK I guess this is a real noobie question, but can I debrand my Xperia T without routing it?
I want to update to the latest sony JB update that I see is out on the sony site but it says my phone is up to date. Could this be because I am on UK Vodafone?
If so I would like to debrand from Vodafone to install this latest official update. I have apps that won't work if I am routed so can't go there.
Can I do this, and if so how please??
Many Thanks!
Flash the UK generic ftf that us in the general section using flashtool. This will debrand your phone without rooting but does change your firmware do has other side effects. The only way to stay on your firmware and demand will be to root the device

There is no need to write a post saying thanks, it just gives us more to read.
If you want to thank anyone on xda just hit their thanks button, thats what it is for.

Xperia Z (C6603) 343 NL Stock firmware + root?

So I found this post: http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/04/01/debrand-your-xperia-z-tutorial/ look very nice and I would like to try it out. Then I found this ROM for my own country: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2200945
Then I read the thread and saw people saying it would be easy to root it also without having a custom ROM. So i went to the recommenden post for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
Now I have one question: Does this unlock your bootloader? I want to be sure it doesnt! And when I update my phone again after I rooted it do I need to root again? (with rooting there doesn't come another rom over it in this case, right?)
Thank you for your time!
BTW I have an Sony Xperia Z C6603 branded by T-Mobile
Flashing stock firmwares or custom rom doesn't change bootloader status.
After updating you have to root again.

Ok, thx. So when I use the root guide I actually flash my rom again? Or how does it work?
Sorry but i didn't understand what you mean?
Rooting guide is to root your phone so you can access system files,it's not like changing roms or flashing.

Ah like that. Just like changing permissions of the user or something. Like in Ubuntu the Super user. Thank you for your time!

[Q] FlashTool Locked Boot Loader

Hi Guys,
I've been reading through the forum and all the threads, now I'm looking for a definitive answer...
Here's my situation, I bought an Xperia Z with FW .350 (AUS Vodafone) Stock Rom, with their bloatware on the phone, no FW .434 OTA update yet...
Bought my girlfriend Xperia Z HK Generic FW .350 just updated .434 OTA!!! *Jealous!*.
Her phone also has NFC icon displaying... (I know there's a fix for that as well, but still!)
I want to get her ROM onto my phone, and I've found Flash Tool would be the way to go here.
My concerns are will;
a) This be possible?
b) Will this break my Bootloader? I don't want to lose my DRM keys and effect my Bravia Engine or GraceNote etc..
Any comments would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
Backup the 2 phones and flash her firmware on ur phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2188129
This will keep the bootloader intact.

Awesome! Thanks, I just needed that confirmation.
Cheers.:good:
Is there anywhere I can share the roms once I've done the backups or would the FTF Files not be useful to others?

There's this thread of firmwares:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/list-stock-firmwares-d5803-d5833-t2906706
But I don't know how to tell one from another. My country isn't actually in this list and I bought the unlocked international version from Sony.

Just use the global ftf ending in .93
You can find this on the forums or search on google
