Hello everyone
So first of all I wanted to inform you that they are not an expert ..
Then we move to the "problem":
I installed the soak test out yesterday.. -> [5.0.2] [OFFICIAL] [XT1068] Lollipop Indian OTA Captured <-
So I have not registered on the site to become a tester, and hope to be approved..but by the news yesterday I downloaded the soak test of 'os, I put on internal memory and I did look for updates and exited.
I installed it and that's fine, but my concern is:
I have invalidated the warranty?
i Receive all future ota smoothly as if I had not done anything?
sorry if I do not write well, but are not English.
Hey @djblankino ,
If you unlocked the bootloader then your Warranty is void.
You'll recieve all future updates if you do not modify the ROM in any way, i.e.. Rooting, Custom Recovery etc..
Hope this answers your doubts.

thanks a lot I've calmed much.
Do not think I've unlocked the bootloader because I only put the zip in memory and updated via ota.

Your warranty is with Amazon, not Motorola. EU law allows you unlock the bootloader and change the software on your device without voiding the warranty. If Amazon refused to accept the return of phone with a hardware fault in the EU, they would be breaking the law. Ignore KrishnaSagar's post; your warranty is still valid.

Yes you will loose as it states in Sony's official site for unlocking it. You can read more from this thread.

I am sure it will be possible, you know how great the devs are. This is a new device so give it sometime. You should follow that thread as the OP
keeps it up to date. I am planning to unlock it because of the ugly UI by Sony plus for Cyanogenmod.
Hi guys, just a quick question.
With Nexus devices, if you flash a factory image then you relock the bootloader them return in warranty.
How does it work on Motorola? The same? Or there is a sort of "counter" which shows that the bootloader was previously unlocked (as HTC's "Relocked" voice in bl)? And if yes, is there a way to hide or "reset" it?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English.

I believe it shows "relocked" like HTC.

If you have the XT1095 it doesn't matter either way. Locked or unlock will not affect your warranty
It will sat that it was relocked.
I have an XT1092 :/

XT1092 is non-US PureEdition. So same should apply I would think!
XT1092 is Pure Edition? Oh, so unlocking my bootloader won't affect my warranty?

As far as my knowledge goes, the XT1092 is the European Pure Edition which means you'll still have warranty after setting everything back to stock. A European law even forces Companies to give you warranty if the issue is hardware related and not caused by your software change.
Hey fellows!
I just got the the Moto X XT1097, its possible to root whitout unlock?
Cheers

That's what a Motorola agent answered to me (It's Italian):
He said that the bootloader unlock voids the warranty, BUT restocking should give me back it. ?

So does US law in many states.
Now a poster on another forum claims it is a federal law, and when I looked up the statute he was referencing I did not see that in the statute. I asked him to clarify but he never did.
I could have missed it when I scanned through the federal statute, but again, I didn't see it in the federal statute. However, as I said, many states have laws that can be invoked if the manufacturer tries to do a blanket warranty void and the issue you are having is not related to whatever you did that the manufacturer says killed your warranty.
Hello, I have some questions about this phone, it will be long ...
My old Xperia XZ died after a foamy party ... so I bought this phone, and it's pretty cool.
So I would now go to android 8, surely LineageOS or EMUI8 I do not know yet.
So, do I really need to rebrand my phone for project treble?
Some links say no, some Rom allow activating treble, and other links say that you have to go through the official Rom EMUI8
I have to use EMUI recovery or TWRP?
Where can I find EMUI8 for Huawei?
How do I unlock my boot loader?
because the links I found his death ...
It was a lot easier on Xperai: D
Thank you for your help, as much on Xperia I know everything but there I am lost with this different recovery, with EMUI ... with the trick honor / Huawei
And I'm french, so not sure that I'm very readable, do not hesitate to tell me
Hi,
Just wait a little bit it should be Rolling soon in all countries officially (UK, Spain among others countries already got it so it might be soon for France )
If you're really in hurry there are multiple guides here that explains different ways to update manually. Not sure though if you can still unlock the bootloader...
Salut!

Yeah its too late for bootloader codes, huawei closed it a few days ago. Unfortunately you cannot flash any custom roms/recoveries/kernels, and i doubt anyone will ever crack the bootloader. sorry mate.:crying:

Can this still be done using Odin3_v3.13.1? I have a n960f and i regret upgrading to the latest patch. I heard many people saying you can no longer go back. How can i do this/flash back to the latest oreo version?
you would need to use TWRP.

Hi this is my 1st ever Xiaomi phone always had Samsung
Love the phone it's mint
I'm confused when it comes to updates and all the different kind of versions to the roms
And reading some comments about ota updates I'm just confused as hell lol
So I'm in UK on Vodafone im
On miui 12.0.2 stable global
How do I get 12.5 update please as it doesn't show for me
Do you have to manually flash all updates ?
How do I know if my bootloader is locked?
How do I safely update /flash phone ?
If I flash phone will that void warranty?
Will my bank apps and Google pay work as I need Google pay ?
What is the best version to flash people and do some roms have better features to use than the 1 I'm already on ?
Sorry for being dumb I'm just scared to do things wrong
Thanks for taking time to read this and if you have spare time to reply and guide me I'd be ever so grateful. Can't imagine ever going back to Samsung I just love this phone
If your phone global is variants
Mi 11 Ultra Global Stable V12.5.2.0
OTA Apply for V12.0.2.0
https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.5.2.0...RKAMIXM-V12.5.2.0.RKAMIXM-7f2669dbe3-11.0.zip
if EEA
Mi 11 Ultra EEA Stable V12.5.3.0
OTA Apply for V12.0.6.0
https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.5.3.0...RKAEUXM-V12.5.3.0.RKAEUXM-4e14bc378f-11.0.zip
Other options try to click 'check for updated' several times, sometimes the updated will appear
Vodafone unfortunately doesn't let you OTA apply to any other firmware. You got to unlock bootloader.

Starting from halfway down!
If your phone is new, the bootloader is locked.
How to safely flash? Read the threads on unlocking the bootloader. There is very little risk provided you have learned how to do it (and not much risk even if you don't).
Warranty. I don't know. But you can always reflash stock firmware and relock the bootloader.
Most people who unlock flash Xiaomi.eu ROM. It is what I use. It's based on the Chinese firmware but heavily modified.
Banking apps and google pay work just fine
