just keep a micro-usb flash drive in your pocket for OTG-USB backups. I keep large files there.
I have a G3 and have always been a fan of the G2 and the G-flex but I've never owned a g-flex yet and my G3 is pissing me with it's battery life.
I am sure the new g-flex is going to be teh next G2 ( LEGEND ) but I'm not able to afford it's release price yet.

I wouldn't get a Flex at this point if you have G3. Wait for the Flex 2.
I have the Flex and it's rock solid. I was a daily ROM Changer before owning this phone. I never even bothered to root the [email protected] thing. I haven't found a need to.

Okay.... I Suppose Its Cool As I Didn't Mention To Be Realistic
Thing Is... Your Phone Will Burn The F*** Down With 4x 2.5GHz Cores
You Could Make It An 8 Core @ 1.2GHz/1.4GHz To Preserve The Battery
And The PPI Looks A Bit Dodgy. But They Are Great Specs Nonetheless

Nexus 4 Hands on video

Engadget
http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/29/google-nexus-4-hands-on/
So here it is at last, the Nexus 4. After countless leaks we finally got a chance to put our dirty little paws on Google and LG's lovechild. The verdict? It's simply phenomenal. By combining the nicest elements of the Optimus G with the latest iteration of Jelly Bean (Android 4.2) the two companies have created something that's better than the sum of its parts. Like its cousin, the Nexus 4 is built around Qualcomm's snappy 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdradon S4 Pro SoC with Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM. Storage comes in 8GB and 16GB flavors with no microSD expansion. It features the same lovely 4.7-inch 1280x768-pixel IPS display but sheds LTE support for an unlocked pentaband DC-HSPA+ (42Mbps) radio and wireless charging. On the camera front the Nexus 4 inherits the Optimus G's optional eight-megapixel BSI sensor and f/2.4 autofocus lens, instead of the slightly fancier 13 MP shooter. WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, NFC, Miracast plus a sealed 2100mAh Li-polymer battery complete the package.
Aesthetically, the Nexus 4 blends aspects of the Optimus G and Galaxy Nexus designs, with a glass-covered back and rounded-off top and bottom edges. This phone looks sand feels great -- materials and build quality are much improved over last year's handset. At 9.1mm (0.36 inches) thin and 131g (0.31 pounds), it's also very comfortable in hand. Most of the controls are unchanged from its relative -- standard 3.5mm headphone jack and secondary mic on top, volume rocker and micro-SIM tray on the left, micro-USB port and primary mic on the bottom and power / lock button on the right side. The Optimus G's capacitive keys give way to on-screen buttons and the LED notification light moves below the screen (from its former position near the 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera). Overall we're really impressed with the Nexus 4, and that's just the hardware. Sadly, we spent very little time with the software, which includes a plethora of improvements.
You'll be able to purchase a Nexus 4 unlocked in the Play Store starting November 13th for $299 (8GB), $349 (16GB) or $199 with two-year contract on T-Moble (16GB). STay tuned for our review

[Q] Xperia SP performance phone

Guys i am new here and i need help in choosing a phone
i previously owned Sony Xperia SP (C5303)
Everything stock
i got the latest firmware version and i lost the damn phone
i was happy with the specs and all with the latest firmware, without lags
it was not rooted
i only played subway surfer, temple run 2, asphalt 8, stickman basketball
games kind a lame or might be a bit gay for you guys but i just only enjoy simple games
now i am planning to buy a new phone that would have atleast same performace
if would have better performance much appreciated
i have two phones in mind.
one would be Asus phone Zenfone 5
with specs
ASUS ZenFone 5 specs:

My previous phone was Motorola Razr I..it had an intel CPU..since It was running stock-pure android it didn't lag..but not all apps are compartible with intel SoCs because it's architecture is x86... 98% percent of apps would work with intel and others will have bugs
Now, I read that MediaTek CPUs aren't good but I have never tested a phone with that cpu
If I were you and I was about to choose one of those 2 phones, I would pick the Asus just because it will get android 4.4

All in all looks like a really solid successor to the G3. What do you guys think?
I had a G2, then the G3, and unless it's crazy expensive I'll pick up one of the leather back G4 models. I've tried the Droid Turbo, One M8, and S6 in between and none of them were as good as my G2/G3. Once root is released for the Verizon variant I'll be picking it up.
glad I bought a sammy s6 edge after seeing this..
Wireless charging? On the Droid-Life video when he takes off the back (2:59) you can see the copper conducting tape and thin electronic board in the backside cover = implies wireless charging out of the box.
Also, it is OIS 2.0 with them, not OIS.
No wireless charging btw..

Agreed.
No fingerprint scanner = FAIL
Wider dimensions = FAIL
After months of waiting for the Lg G4, and am very disappointed that I will NOT be buying the G4.
I'm hoping Samsung releases a version of the S6 with a removable battery and SD. (S6 Active?)
Yes wireless charging with Quick Circle Case

Wow seems a little harsh. Fingerprint scanner is irrelevant to 99% of buyers but removable battery and microSD is important to much more. Samsung's interface and most everything else about the S6 is a fail. But it's cheap and made cheap so it will appeal to a lot of lemmings.
I am one that's waiting to see how the dev community is able to work with the device before I jump in and this would be my first non-HTC device in 4-5 years. On paper this has more going for it based on my needs and usage than anything else but the final decision for me will be made once the devs get their hands on it.
Edit:
So I saw this image and wondered, what is this area, NFC antenna or could it be wireless charging?
They don't have a physical home button, where would they fit a fingerprint scanner? Besides, the one on the S6 requires a re-swipe a lot.

Tell me what you like/dislike about the S6 edge...if you were to sell one to me how would you do it? I am leaning towards the G4. If you can help me with this I will tell you what features have me leaning towards the G4 and its not because I currently have a G2. I will give you a hint....having a removable battery is a plus, but not a priority (My G2's battery is not removable.) Thank you in advance..

@ThePhoneGeek That looks very similar to the apparatus on the G2. Uncertain though, as the NFC antenna is handled alongside the wireless charging capabilities on the vs980.

Yeah that's what I was thinking but thought it was interesting.
I wonder if LG will go crazy with the over-sharpening of the display again. If so I'm definitely going to pass on it.

Fingerprint works extremely well on my S6, on par with the iPhone 6.
Also works with multiple fingers, in any angle.

Model which was observed yesterday was korean G4 F500 named similar to G3 F460, you see, bump in index. So, F500 has only NFC antenna in the cover, and Qi supposed to reside in separately sold QuickCase, but only in korean's model. The int'national model H810 or H815 has HFC and Qi contacts so presumably it will have Qi wireless charging antenna right from the box as like as G3 had

Fingerprint works extremely well on my S6, on par with the iPhone 6.
Also works with multiple fingers, in any angle.

I had it for a week and it did work pretty well, but there were times it failed and I had to re-swipe
Sent from my "bigger is smaller" LG G3

Yes I saw this too, I assumed it was the wireless charging antenna but I suppose it could be the NFC too.
I honestly have no use for a finger print scanner, since I use android wear and have my watch and car as a trusted device. I don't understand why a finger print scanner is a big deal lol.

Upgrading from lg g3 to note 7 or pro?

Hi
My wife has an lg g3 that is working pretty good. With new original battery and a free insurance it is good...
But I wonder if she should upgrade to the Redmi note 7? Or to the pro?
Beside battery life, will the camera, performance exc will be better?

Everything would be better
Explain please

Like what? The cpu is not as fast as the one the g3 has...

Looks to me like its _at least_ double the Processing power, you do realise the G3 is a Quad core not Octa right? I had a G3 2 years ago, it died, but I agree EVERYTHING will be better (Except less pixels on the screen, which imo were a waste on the G3 anyway)

The number of cores is irrelevant
The cpu of the lg g3 is much faster than the note 7
And the screen is better
quad core to octa core comparison is completely irrelevant, except only when the cores in question are identical on each platform (which they are not).
the things u gain in buying a rn7/p and replacing the g3:
- build quality. u get a more recent gorilla glass version and glass back on top of plastic instead of just plastic on the g3. also gradient colours on the rn7 look quite good
- far superior soc. sd 660 (rn7) is on sd 835 performance levels, which is 3 generations ahead of the 801 on the g3. the sd 675 on the pro performs even better
- far superior battery life. u get 1000mah more battery capacity, and the 660/675 is again more efficient than the 801 due to process node shrinks over 3 generations
- far larger screen, both in terms of panel size and screen to body ratio
- usbc. also support for faster charging
- official updates. support for the g3 would have been dropped at least 2 years ago, while this still has another 3.
- ir blaster. u can control stuff like tv and aircon and is a gimmick that people will actually use
the only things I see that u miss from the g3:
- 1440p screen, but on a phone with bezels and 5.5" screen the difference between qhd and fhd is negligible
- ois
personally I'd recommend u to get the non pro rn7, as it is global unlike the pro, which means it is easier to procure, and (at least in china) the pro costs half as much more than the non pro but you don't get a lot more phone.
Cool
But does the sd660 like sd835 in terms of performance?? Really?
how outdated is your info? :silly:
gone are the days when the 8xx series was your only hope of smooth performance and the 6xx series was a big compromise. go look up geekbench or antutu scores, you'll see the sd 660 catching up to the sd 835 while handily beating sd 820/1 devices. the sd 675 matches the 835 in multicore. both of which are adequate in day to day usage.
Mmm
I'm not in any way capable of speaking in such a competent manner as the one before me.
But I can tell you this.
My wife USED to have an LG g3 (she now has an LG g4 that was mine)
The g3 now passed to my kid...
And when she saw how the r5plus (RIP) worked and now the new rn7 I bought.. she wants to change the LG g4 to a rn7 (or r6 pro...purely for the dual selfie )
There's no comparison. At least not in a "real day by day" use.
Having a battery that goes a full day with no worries it's incredible. A huge screen to see Netflix or wtvr... Gestures. Updates. Rounded screen borders and "cooler" form factor/colors
And it really feels smooth.
So, they give you the specs on the other post. I give you the knowing of having use them both (well... The g4 actually, and was better than the g3... )
And I couldn't be happier making the switch. And planning on doing the same with her phone as soon as we can.
Hope it helps.
Cool
Thanks!
