[Q] Working home button in CM9?

Hello.
I was wondering if the physical home button on the TouchPad is working with Android CM9? Is there anyway to make it work?

I didn't install any ROM yet, I was making sure so I decide if I will install it or not because people in videos only used the on-screen button not the physical one. As I understood from you, it does work, many thanks for your answer

no, there's a patch made by einstein for his rom..but it is for the v3.02 i think...so i dont know if it works with the current version as the rom isnt the same.scared if it caused my current rom to brick.

[Q] CM for N900A

I'm sorry if this has already been brought up somewhere else, but I have to ask.
Is there a safe way for me to install CM on SafeStrap right now? If not, is this something that I will see in the near future? If yes, explain.
No there is no way at all to install cm yet on the note 3.
It will most likely take an unlocked boot loader to do it.
For now the best you can get are various touch wiz based Samsung roms

Hi,
Check out the video link below! CyanogenMod's ScreenCast screen recorder allows you to easily record your screen, sounds from your phone, and your microphone all at the same time.

hope it will work, regards

Hardware keys order

Hey all!
just received my z3 compact after years of being sammy boy
first i must say this device rock..
is there anyway to change the hardware buttons layout ? to be more like the galaxy buttons ? back on the right and last apps on the left ?
or its possible only on custom roms ?
Those aren't hardware keys but soft keys (the navigation bar) AFAIA the order can only changed when the phone is rooted, with Xposed for example.

I came from the world of Samsung too, and Blackberry before that, so yeah...I think the back key belongs on the right as well.
But yeah, you do have to root to change it. To me, this and the other options Xposed gives me are more than worth the slight loss in camera quality from the bootloader unlock. I mean, look how nice this is....
damn... Now that you lost those drm ****ties, you think you will be able to restore them ? i think im gonna root my device aswell (b)
It looks great btw!!!

i'm probably gonna root this device in the next hour

Yeah, I used the root method in DooMLoRD's bootloader unlock thread.
I haven't tried every camera app on the market, but I haven't found any yet that can match the stock Sony camera, even crippled. To be honest, it still takes fantastic pictures most of the time. It's only crippled when you're shooting in low light without flash, which I don't really do that often.
But even more important than that, I can't live without Xposed modules. So no, I'm not worrying about the DRM keys.
(And no, there will be no way to restore them.)

Well, you could download the 23.0.A.2.105 firmware on your computer and use Flashtool to install it.

Actually, it seems you can actually used DooMLoRD's method with 23.0.A.2.93.

This is also for those who installed the CM build on the Honor 5C,please do give feedback so a Working/Not Working list can be assembled.
Used cyanogenmod 13 for a while on this phone but decided to revert back to stock because of the camera. now when i try to install it and do a factory reset from twrp i cant!
on twrp boot it gives me an error that it cant mount /data (no such file or destination) thus not wiping it, thus not being able to install cm13. any help?
EDIT: seems that twrp doesnt detect internal storage at all. shows 0mb available , but i can browse it on the stock file manager just fine. ideas?

I don't think so,but you can unlock the phone instantly with your fingerprint,so I personally see no reason to use DT2W on this device.
I have a question,
if only LTE is availeble, what happen when you are in a place where the reception isn't good? Does the network stop working?

How difficult will it be to get a CM 14 build up and running once we have a working CM 13 build (using CM13 as template)?
Just wondering because first CM 14 builds are out for other devices.

CM13 can't be used as a template.
Other devices got CM14 because:
a)their stock rom stopped at MM,but their developers made the blobs open source,so they can easily go to CM14
b)they already have stock N,so they simply use the blobs from it.
Our device doesn't meet none of the provided scenarios,we will probably get stock N on December, and only then will we be able to start working on it.

Yah,but that pearl even had the audacity to order a developer what to work on,I doubt logic would work on him. :silly:

I don't understand why people don't respect developers will.. They can work on whatever they want, if you have these kind of request just build your own ROM.

Suggestions are okay, but not orders
Did the CM13 development stop?
