Here is the official RUU for Android 5.0.2 with Sense 6 . They removed WIFI Calling from the RUU
DL link http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_..._NV_SPCS_4.38_003_release_414036_signed_2.exe
Go figure. Oh well have to live without it again. Great job with the ruu
Been away from htc for a while (Nexus 5 now Nexus 6) still have my m7 but was planning on selling it, do I just run this ruu and it will take care of returning it to stock?

Yep,run the RUU from fastboot mode . make it sure it says fastboot usb and flash away
Why is firmware still at 6 not the new 7.15.401.1 just glancing at the file name, have a feeling bugs and battery life is going to suck

Because the 7.xx version is a port from Verizon's variant of the ONE. If anything, this one will probably work with much less bugs (although santod is a beast in his own right). That and his rom has mod options. This is stock Sprint.
So this is based off the kikat firmware , I haven't flashed this yet ,just read the file name , I've noticed the firmware has been updated on the m7 not the m7wls ,but there are ROMs based on a newer firmware ? Can you supply the bootloader log after flash or screen shot

Your device is really behind on SW Updates. You need do SW Updates to get caught up.
Your device is too far behind to RUU I bet you. get your SW Version up to 5.05 version and then run RUU again
Stock is never fun , I just want to make sure before we lose the ability to go back to older ROMs - mainly with the switch between art and dalvik , been using lollipop for a couple months but not sense , and not having the exposed settings makes a big difference ,lollipop is better looking and faster but runtime needs some help

Hi I have the HTC one gpe rooted and with Twrp and I would like to test the new stock Sense 5 Rom with Android 4.3.
I have been following the guide from a website called
htc-one.wonderhowto.com (I can't post links yet)
But I can't go past the change cid step
Also I have hboot 1.54 and s-on
So is this possible? And how do you do it?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
it's not possible. You need to be s-off and you are 1.54. So it's not possible

I wanted to try ModacoSwitch but they seem to be using an outdated version for the Sense ROM

Seems that every single GPe KitKat ROM that I install gives me random reboots at the setup screen, my firmware is of the 4.3 (sense 5) and I am s-on
Please give me advice on what to do.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Im having the same issue, my phone has an unlocked bootloader. I tried to install 2 different kind of 4.4 GPe roms and both times its restarting at the setup screen, where it ask for the language to use. Is S-Off different from unlocked bootloader and did the s-off with rumrunner fixed the issue? Thanks
I have s-off and have been but I couldn't install any of the 4.4 Roms and it caused crazy bootloop where recovery wasn't even an option thru fastboot or anything. Had to ruu out. Miserable day yesterday with a g2x lol. Think I might try to run the ruu for GE 4.4 tonight if I find an easy how to so I can play with 4.4 too.
I'm thinking it has to do with the software date too since I was s-off and got a fail also. I was on the original 1.xx T-Mobile software.

Hey! Yes, unlocked bootloader and s-off are different, here's a link to the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2487888
First, if you can sideload a ROM, do that and enable USB debugging on it before you run the tool.
Then, all you have to do is click the download link, download the 0.5.0 zip, extract it, then run the .exc file with admin permissions on your windows 7 computer. Be patient, it WILL take a while.

Recovery bootlooped? Seems like a recovery issue... I use TWRP 2.6.3.3
Firmware issue? I don't know, but I'm running the latest 4.3 AT&T official firmware, and the tool worked for me, then everything went fine.

well you have to be rooted and unlocked before you can get soff. if you're already good there sometimes firewater has a problem with the hardware regardless of version date... if you already unlocked and got root try doing it again then trying firewater oncemore. if that doesnt work you might want to try to get a different device from sprint/assurion

i kno....lolol..im no noob
Ive found out this...
The HTC M8's are made in different "batches". Each batch of phones they produce will generally have all the same internal parts, from the same parts manufacturer. SOME batches of phones have internal board parts that came from a DIFFERENT parts manufacturer, because HTC ran out of the last run of parts from previous manufacturer. In other words, HTC may produce phones with exactly the same parts, but the parts may come from different manufacturers. So, certain parts from certain manufacturers make it not s-off-able.
This is my understanding, correct me if you think I'm wrong, or you know something I don't.
I'm going to exchange mine and better luck with the 2nd, hopefully it will come from a "good batch"

Sunshine may not be compatible with the latest update. Your best bet is to run the RUU that was just released within the last couple of days. That will get you the latest firmware. You do not have to be S-off to run the RUU but you will have to re-lock your bootloader with the command fastboot oem lock. The RUU can be found in OMJ's RUU thread in the development forum.
You may also try downgrading your ROM to the version that matches your firmware version, and then try Sunshine. What is your current radio (baseband) version?

Probably would be better off flashing one of OMJ's stock rooted 4.4.3 ROM's, honestly, although Sunshine should work on the version you listed. I've seen at least one report of it not working on software version 3.31.
